Thought I'd start a new thread for us expecting March 2022!

Congratulations!!

I'm 4+2 with my first, conceived via IVF. I have endo & adeno so pretty nervous. Have told hubby & my sis so far but it's hard keeping the excitement in! It's been a long TTC journey over the last 5 years...

Hope everyone is feeling well in these early days xx

Spent the night in A&E with suspected ectopic but they weren't too concerned. hcg was only 86 though at 4+5 (although I think I implanted/ovulated late so might not be that far) so hoping they double tomorrow and I don't have to worry. Never ever worried about my pregnancy with DS, not sure why I am now...

CurlyNo2 · 14/07/2021 11:51

Just had my booking appointment, all went well. Will need to go for bloods and urine sample shortly. 12 week scan appointment will be sent out in the post. Then I need to make an appointment with my GP to see a midwife at 15 weeks because this is my 2nd. EDD still 7 March 22.

Motherofcats007 · 14/07/2021 12:14

Hello!! I’ve not had a chance to go through previous pages and I’m new to the forum as well. Just found out I’m pregnant (hopefully with our second) on Sunday and just got over the shock!! I do have a history of miscarriages so fingers crossed this will stick.

I think my EDD is mid- late May but not sure as I’m still breastfeeding my DD and cycles are wonky. Hopefully I’ll get a reassurance scan (due to the previous recurrent miscarriages, not sure if they still do it now?) cause I find early pregnancy incredibly nerve wrecking

Motherofcats007 · 14/07/2021 12:39

Gosh @Trinxsy hope you’re doing ok. Have they done a scan to see where it is? X

Oresome · 14/07/2021 12:55

Hi all!

I am a cautious poster due to multiple miscarriages, the last of which was almost exactly a year ago to the day. In fact, we were due to start IVF at the end of May but decided to put it off for a month as we had a long weekend away booked with friends. When my period didn’t appear and didn’t appear, I did a cautious test and here we are! In fact, I was sure that I was one of the many people whose cycles had been messed around by their Covid vaccine!

Because of all this, I am finding it hard to get in touch with my GP/self-refer to a midwife. We have had so many disappointments and I found it so tough last year when the appointment reminders came through and I had to explain why they were no longer needed. Has anyone else had this?

My local A&E has an EPU so the plan is to go there for an early scan next week which I qualify for due to the miscarriages. Hopefully, by then, I’ll be far enough a long for them to see whether there is a heartbeat or not…

Trinxsy · 14/07/2021 14:52

@Motherofcats007

Gosh *@Trinxsy* hope you’re doing ok. Have they done a scan to see where it is? X
I'm trying to remain hopeful, the doctor didn't see concerned at all. She just said I'm just really early and that's why it's so low. I mean, I had bloods done last week (on thuesday) and they were 0 so in 5 days they've gone from 0 to late 80s so I'm hoping it'll more than double tomorrow!

Apparently they can't scan me until my hcg is at least 1500...but I'm not feeling pain today so it seems like good news!

Just keeping fingers crossed that my hcg doubles and then i can calm down x

Butterscotchseven · 14/07/2021 15:11

@TTCSOLO @GingerKombucha my scan at 5w6d was trans abdominal first (on the tummy), and then we moved to internal to check things closer. Because I’m so early I definitely didn’t expect the sonographer to find heartbeats but she saw them right away when she did the abdominal scan.

When we moved to the internal scan she was looking more closely at things like my cervix, measuring the yolk sacs, and also my uterus in general to see whether I had any fibroids. She could also tell what side I ovulated from (twice from the right!). So the amount of detail you get is crazy!! But they can see things normally from the abdominal scan too!

Butterscotchseven · 14/07/2021 15:13

Thank you so much everyone for the kind words and wishes. Taking this pregnancy one day at a time 💛💛💛 I wish time would hurry on up to get into trimester 2!!!!

lol2015 · 14/07/2021 15:15

Ttc for 6 years and now 5 + 2 weeks

So excited!!!

Butterscotchseven · 14/07/2021 15:18

@Motherofcats007 congratulations!! I’m very much in the same boat as you, remaining very cautious. I agree… early pregnancy is so nerve wracking!!

@Oresome congratulations!! Your story is so similar to mine. My husband and I had been referred by our GP to a fertility clinic, and we were so shocked that we fell pregnant on our own. Now we’ve found out it’s twins. It is hard to allow yourself to enjoy anything at such an early stage when you’ve been through the trauma we have with early losses. You aren’t alone. I found my scan yesterday to be so reassuring, was magical to see heartbeats. I will be crossing my fingers for you that you see your little heartbeat soon too! Hang in there 💛

@Trinxsy waiting for anything right now feels like torture! But those numbers will grow pretty quickly from now! It’s crazy how they double so fast!

miaulin · 14/07/2021 16:38
@Butterscotchseven, huge congratulations! I must admit, I booked my early scan partly to check if this is a multiple (they run in the family) and if so, I'll try to use your excitement as a guide - with one toddler already, I'm not sure how ready we would be for 3 under 3...

@miaulin, with my first pregnancy i also had unexplained bright red bleeding for an afternoon, at just under 6 weeks. Dashed to A&E where scan showed no cause and a little heartbeat. Now a 20 month old terror... it can be super normal but also always terrifying!
That reassuring to hear.

Bleeding a heavier now, had to put a pad on as started to go onto my pants and I've been having cramps as well.
Rang back my EPU and they said there's nothing they can do and to just keep an eye on it as they only saw me yesterday

I thought after seeing the little heart beating I would be ok and not worry but this bleeding is making me so paranoid and since it got worse after the internal scan I feel like it's my fault 😩

CharlieSassy · 14/07/2021 16:55

Hi all, congratulations to you all! I debated whether it was too early to start looking at things like this, but nice to have a space to worry out loud since we aren't really telling anyone right now! Current EDD is 17th March, haven't had that confirmed just yet but by my last period I am 4+6 right now. I'm still getting over the surprise to be honest, we started trying 2 months ago but I was convinced it would take a really long time so now I feel totally unprepared 😳 it will be our first, I am feeling stupidly anxious. I had a miscarriage a few years ago and my mind can't help but worry again now. We are thinking of booking a viability scan around 7 weeks so I don't have so long to stress about whether it's actually real! Has anybody done this before? Currently I am getting really tired and some sharp pain low down in my pelvis, but it doesn't feel crampy, more sharp and it goes quickly so I'm not too worried from what I've read. Nice to meet you all Smile

Peanut87 · 14/07/2021 17:02

Hope everyone’s well, will catch up in a minute not really been on as I had some spotting over the past few days, pale pink/brown coloured & not a lot but still made me worry.
Went to EPU today and had an internal scan, I was so worried all morning but we saw our little bean and their heartbeat which was so amazing, measuring 6w3days so 5 days behind what I thought. I just feel so much relief after the scan, just rearranged the early scan I had booked for tomorrow as I may as well wait a little while before seeing bean again.
Hoping to relax a little now xx

PurpleCat88 · 14/07/2021 17:06

Hi everyone ☺️

I think I’m starting to get some morning sickness … it’s very mild at the moment and more a feeling of indifference towards food, like I could take it or leave it. Anyone else had this? I really want ice lollies though 🤷🏻‍♀️ I saw someone else put that they feel worse when they’re too warm, and I think this is the same for me as hot dinners are making me feel a bit ~bleurgh~

I want fruit ice lollies!! 😂🧊🍭🍦

PurpleCat88 · 14/07/2021 17:08

@miaulin and @Peanut87 - fingers crossed everything works out for you both 🤞🤞

@Butterscotchseven - yay twins! That’s amazing news!

Shortmamashortcycles · 14/07/2021 17:21

It's definitely not your fault and the internal scan will not cause a miscarriage if that's where this goes! (It's not impossible that the scan might cause some cramps or bleeding I guess but only from areas nowhere near your little bean.)

Fingers firmly crossed for you!

JuneySunshine · 14/07/2021 17:22

@PurpleCat88
Me too with the icelollies! Bought some today and I can't remember the last time I did. Sainsbury's Rainbow lollies and I've already eaten 2/8 Blush

Shortmamashortcycles · 14/07/2021 17:22

Rats, sorry @miaulin, the above was meant to be a reply to you!

KayL1988 · 14/07/2021 18:46

Also loving ice lollies @PurpleCat88 and @JuneySunshine ... I've also taken to freezing grapes. They are so refreshing and a handy little snack I can eat whilst in a video call without drawing attention to myself!

I'm also really into ready salted crisps. Pretty sure I could live on a diet of salted crisps, frozen grapes/ice lollies and Evian (because apparently it's the only water that doesn't taste metallic to me at the minute?)

KayL1988 · 14/07/2021 18:49

@miaulin so sorry about that, sounds so stressful. How you feeling now? It's definitely not your fault and hopefully it's just a bit of normal first trimester bleeding xxxxx

It's very stressful but I'm trying to keep distracted and remind myself that I saw the heart beat yesterday and everything was fine

Not feeling greatest and still bleeding but not filling a pad (but it enough to go onto it slightly) still red and a few clots
Cramps have died down a bit after a walk to the shop

Not sure what I can do and feel so helpless right now

PurpleCat88 · 14/07/2021 19:12

@KayL1988 - yep I think crisps, ice lollies and white toast slathered in butter are becoming my staple diet 😂 Also, amazing tip on the frozen grapes!

hopesprings22 · 14/07/2021 20:57

@miaulin I'm sorry you're having to go through this worry. You definitely haven't done anything to cause this, you did the right thing going for a scan and an internal gets nowhere near baby to do any harm. I have everything crossed for you for the bleeding stopping soon, sending hugs 💗 xxx
