Thought I'd start a new thread for us expecting March 2022!

Congratulations!!

I'm 4+2 with my first, conceived via IVF. I have endo & adeno so pretty nervous. Have told hubby & my sis so far but it's hard keeping the excitement in! It's been a long TTC journey over the last 5 years...

Hope everyone is feeling well in these early days xx

Can I tentatively join please? I have just found out that I am pregnant and due 23rd March. Currently feeling really anxious as we had a miscarriage earlier this year. If all goes well, this will be our third child, with my existing ones being 5 & 8. We aren’t planning to tell anyone, but I may break and tell my best friend if things are going well in a few weeks, as she was supper supportive when things went wrong before.

Congratulations to everyone on here.

rainfrog21 · 09/07/2021 15:30

@Equimum a few of us are in that boat on this thread, welcome x

firstimemamma · 09/07/2021 16:01

I told my friend Smile

@hellointhere I have a nearly 3 year old to run around after! He did a poo that didn't quite make it to the potty today so it's non-stop here 🙈enjoy your peace!

firstimemamma · 09/07/2021 16:01

@Equimum fingers crossed all goes well for you.

Cuwins · 09/07/2021 16:26

We have told both sets of parents and my sister (bf doesn’t have siblings), told them about 2 previous pregnancies too as the support was really important when things went wrong. I work in a special needs school so due to needing to avoid certain challenging behaviour and moving and handling I have told the teacher in my class so he could write a risk assessment, the deputy head and head have been told as part of the risk assessment is to only work in my own bubble so they need to know they can’t move me. And I have requested not to go on a certain big trip next week due to my anxieties around the 6 week mark so they had to approve that.
The 2 staff I work most with in the class also know again due to needing to avoid the challenging behaviour.

MissL85 · 09/07/2021 16:56

I'm definitely constipated now. It's awful.

On the subject of telling people: I told people that would be my support network at work, which is quite a lot of people.

Trinxsy · 09/07/2021 17:25

Just found out I'm pregnant today! Thought I was out this month but clearly not!! Due DC2 Mid march. Very excited!!!

firstimemamma · 09/07/2021 17:50

@Trinxsy congratulations! Join us! How old is your child? Mine is nearly 3.

Trinxsy · 09/07/2021 17:52

Thank you! And congratulations to you! I can't quite believe it. He turned 2 in May so should be almost 3 when little one joins us. We will certainly have our hands full, I'm very glad he starts nursery in September now!! Grin

firstimemamma · 09/07/2021 17:57

@Trinxsy aww a lovely age! Yes I keep thinking about nursery in September! I'll miss ds SO much but am trying to turn it into a positive by thinking of the rest!

Equimum · 09/07/2021 23:04

firstimemamma your little boy will love nursery and you will really benefit from the break. I dreaded my eldest going, but it much such a positive difference for us both. Starting in September, he’ll also be well settled by the time baby comes along.

BeeDis · 10/07/2021 02:26

Hi!

First time pregnant and currently at 5 weeks and 4 days! Quite nervous here and while this is definitely a planned pregnancy it all took us a bit by surprise still! First month of properly TTC and we got pregnant!

I thought it was going to take a lot longer as I have a history of reproductive issues. So now I can't quite believe it, and am absolutely terrified that I will miscarry. Trying to keep calm and stop paranoia setting in...but it's tough!

Milly238 · 10/07/2021 07:32

@BeeDis congrats!! ❤️ It’s normal to feel anxious. I found out I was pregnant last week and ever since then I’ve done nothing but worry about every little thing. Just try to keep telling yourself that today you are pregnant and that there is always a much higher chance of everything going well than not going well for you this pregnancy xx

BeeDis · 10/07/2021 07:41

@Milly238 thanks! I am trying! And for now I am just focusing on the fact they i am pregnant and that I was able to get pregnant is in itself already brilliant! Fingers crossed for everyone!!

firstimemamma · 10/07/2021 07:41

@BeeDis congratulations! Smile

firstimemamma · 10/07/2021 08:03

@Equimum thanks Smilehe already goes to a nursery but only a couple of hours a morning twice a week so it's different to going properly imo. In September we are moving him to a different nursery and he'll be going there every morning for 3 hours (eek!) my pre-pregnancy routine used to be drop ds off in my running gear and go for a run but I just can't run anywhere while pregnant so that's gone out of the window now! I wonder if the nursery staff have guessed I'm expecting 🙈how are u feeling today?

MeganChar1 · 10/07/2021 08:07

Tentatively joining the thread. I had a mmc in January which literally pulled the rug from under my feet. Started getting super faint positives on Wednesday at 10dpo and now they are getting clearer at 13dpo. It looks like this one will be due March 19th. I also had implantation bleeding just over a week ago so I already sort of knew really. First baby but my mmc was first pregnancy xx

Kaytay · 10/07/2021 08:50

Morning ladies, hope everyone is well. Is anyone carrying on exercising? I do some step aerobics/ walking workout classes from home and am hoping to continue them. What's everyone's thoughts 🤔 x

Lya4 · 10/07/2021 08:50

Congratulations to everyone joining the last few days! Hopefully anxieties don't get in this way of enjoying the moment!

Re telling people, only me and hubby know at the min. We are planning on leaving it as long as possible to tell our other three children but as my oldest is 14 I'm guessing I'm not going to be able to hide it for that long as he is quite observant. Not to mention the fact that I have a bump already due to everything being stretched already!

I've also got the problem of my sister is pregnant but further along than me. She's having some serious complications with her baby and with it also being her first I just don't want to rub it in and make it feel worse for her.

Lexber · 10/07/2021 10:41

Morning ladies - is anyone starting with symptoms already?

It feels super early but I'm getting waves of nausea and loss of appetite. When I do eat I'm only eating small amounts and I'm usually a damn good eater!
Also I've not long since started crying for no reason what so ever in the car at the petrol station ?!?
And tiredness- holy shit balls I feel so tired!! I only just found out (Altho was tired days before) how am I getting these symptoms already - I'm wondering if it's all in my head lol please someone tell me im not going insane?!?

I've had slight spotting yesterday which left me worried but it's been really watery pinky so I'm trying to tell myself it's ok and normal! Plus with the other symptoms today I don't feel as worried...

firstimemamma · 10/07/2021 10:57

@Lexber i go the opposite way to u appetite-wise, I'm constantly hungry! Sometimes I hide in the kitchen eating biscuits while ds is in the living room!

PurpleCat88 · 10/07/2021 11:17

@Kaytay

I’m still doing some exercising (in fact just finished a low impact HIIT) and doing some yoga as well.

I was doing of both of these before I got pregnant though.

I think as long as a health provider hasn’t said you can’t exercise you can carry on ☺️ Also I don’t think the danger is to the baby it’s more that you produce the hormone Relaxin that can make you more susceptible to pulling a muscle etc.

@Kaytay I'm trying to but I'm finding that I'm exhausted and have very little energy. I'm trying to listen to my body and not push myself. I used to go for a 40 minute walk every day but that tires me out. That's before I even try yoga or go on our exercise bike.

Anyone finding their breasts are the most painful and heavy when you first get out of bed on a morning? They seem more manageable during the day but so heavy and painful when I first get up.

KayL1988 · 10/07/2021 12:04

@Lexber yessss! The emotions are unreal, I've just got oh my uncontrollably sobbing for no reason and came on here to see if anyone else was doing similar.

No idea how I'm going to continue hiding the fact I'm pregnant.

BeeDis · 10/07/2021 12:05

@Lexber oh yeah definitely getting some symptoms! I am only eating half portions or less! I feel absolutely starving all of a sudden but the second I start eating I feel full within a couple of bites. Also have been getting slight heartburn.
But the tiredness is nuts,I'm exhausted and finding myself physically exerted by very very little. I also feel bloated and with tender boobs...overall just feeling a bit of a mess! Really didn't expect to feel symptoms like this so soon!
