Thought I'd start a new thread for us expecting March 2022!

Congratulations!!

I'm 4+2 with my first, conceived via IVF. I have endo & adeno so pretty nervous. Have told hubby & my sis so far but it's hard keeping the excitement in! It's been a long TTC journey over the last 5 years...

Hope everyone is feeling well in these early days xx

@rainfrog21. Glad too hear that it should be ok, shame about the pain.

Lya4 · 08/07/2021 18:46

Hope all went alright @rainfrog21 ?

Has anyone else just got little to no appetite?

I'm not feeling sick and not not eating, I've just lost that hunger feeling.

I have PCOS so before pregnancy I used to get ravenous a lot, but now it's all gone and I could either eat or not, it doesn't matter.

I'm sure I remember when I was pregnant with my other children that I could have eaten the entire contents of the kitchen at times

Lya4 · 08/07/2021 18:48

Argh just seen you have updated @rainfrog21 glad you went and getting it sorted!

Milly238 · 08/07/2021 18:55

@rainfrog21 fingers crossed everything goes well! ❤️❤️

@Lya4 that’s great! :D would you mind if I asked how far along you are? I’ve got one more CB digital (did one the other day at 4 weeks exactly and got 1-2) so I want to figure out the best time to maybe do it. Also my rhinitis has been appalling too so glad to hear you got some respite!

rainfrog21 · 08/07/2021 18:56

Hi @Lya4 I've been struggling to eat enough, partly due to nausea much of the day but even when not I don't seem to fancy it. I'm focusing on eating dense foods like nuts and some dried fruit as my snacks too keep the calories up. Having said that, don't need extra calories until third trimester so I'm not worrying. I'm keeping a note on myfitness pal just to check I'm not accidentally under eating. If you aren't dairy intolerant try having something like crunchy nut cornflakes and whole milk - easy to eat and has added calcium, vitamins etc. X

Milly238 · 08/07/2021 18:56

@rainfrog21 sorry didn’t see your update! Really good news that everything looks good but so rubbish that you’re in pain! Hope it gets better very soon for you x

MBurf · 08/07/2021 19:00

Hi everyone, I've been waiting in the wings a little scared to post.
I got my BFP on 6/7 day, so I'm 4 weeks today. I have a 5yr old daughter, 6 in 2 weeks. My husband and I have been TTC for over 2 years, I've had 3 early miscarriages so I'm super anxious.
My PT seem to be progressing ok....I'm not sure how to add pics.
I spoke to the fertility nurse yesterday and she has prescribed pessaries so I'm hoping they help this little one stick 🥰 just waiting for the chemist to get them!
Congrats all on your BFPs x

Shortmamashortcycles · 08/07/2021 19:10

Ahh good news @rainfrog21! Sucks that it'll continue to be a bit painful - is paracetamol doing anything to take the edge off? Will it settle down when the placenta is fully formed or are you stuck with cyst-pain until the bump arrives?

Thanks for updating us, and a good reminder that the NHS really does come through sometimes.

toadstool32 · 08/07/2021 19:15

I'm also going to EPU tomorrow as I've had 3 recurrent mc. Only 5+1 so I guess they'll just do blood work

toadstool32 · 08/07/2021 19:23

@rainfrog21 that's good news though sorry to hear you're in pain. What did they see pregnancy related on the scan?

busybee2102 · 08/07/2021 19:24

I am SO bloated tonight! Only 6+1 but look more like 6 months!!!

busybee2102 · 08/07/2021 19:25

Just seen your update @rainfrog21, so pleased that everything’s ok! Hope that the pain subsides x

Fiep · 08/07/2021 20:37

Thanks so much for updating us @rainfrog21, how do you feel about it?

NicolaCarr · 08/07/2021 20:45

4 +4 I’m so anxious I’m 37 this will be my third & third c section

abbs1 · 08/07/2021 20:55

Im 4+5 and so nervous still as not got a lot of symptoms. Just feel like something is gonna go wrong. Havent got a reassurance scan for another month. Worried im gonna miscarry like i did with my first baby.

Cuwins · 08/07/2021 21:01

I’m getting really anxious now as I’m 5+4. Right around this time with both previous pregnancies bleeding started and I found out they had miscarried at exactly 6 weeks.
Did a test this morning and it was a very strong positive and have more symptoms this time than I did with either previous so hoping that’s a good sign.

bekaf · 08/07/2021 21:03

4+2 and this is my first - I'm not going to lie I'm terrified. I suffer pcos and endometriosis and didn't think pregnancy would be possible - so have already convinced myself it's going to go wrong.
First scan at the end of this month 🤞🏼

Almgx · 08/07/2021 21:23

Hi everyone!

I found out I was pregnant two days ago. According to the 6th clearblue I took (lol) I am 2-3 weeks, which taking into account first day of last period would make me 5+4 weeks (according to the Pregnancy+ app, which is amazing by the way, check it out).

It’s my first baby so super nervous/excited/thinking oh my gawdddd.

Congrats all 💕

Lya4 · 08/07/2021 21:36

@Milly238 I was 5+3 when I got 3+ but may have got it earlier if I tested in the few days before.

@rainfrog21 thanks for your reply on that. Felt like I was the only one not eating more than usual 😆. Hope your pain subsides, can you take paracetamol to help?

Dumbler · 08/07/2021 22:44

Hi @MBurf do you mind me asking what pessaries they are? Thanks. And congratulations

busybee2102 · 09/07/2021 00:57

Sorry for the TMI question but…

Is anyone really constipated? I’m so uncomfortable 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m on progesterone pessaries which I know can cause constipation… anyone have any sure fire ways of easing the discomfort?!

toadstool32 · 09/07/2021 06:47

@busybee2102 warm apple juice!

Shortmamashortcycles · 09/07/2021 06:48

@busybee2102, I'm not too bad, but have dealt with constipation before - my digestive system is a bit of a primadonna. See if lactulose or movicol are safe in pregnancy. They're not laxatives oer se, they're stool softeners and can really help when you're backed up.

Otherwise - lots of water, a walk or a gentle run, dried fruit e.g. apricots or prunes, and if you're taking an iron supplement, take it at night after dinner (also I found the Pregnacare all in one vit hard on my body - partly cos of the iron. Feroglobin seems to be easier on your tummy.)

Hope things get moving soon!

MBurf · 09/07/2021 06:48

Hi, thanks. They are progesterone pessaries.

MBurf · 09/07/2021 06:50
