Thought I'd start a new thread for us expecting March 2022!

Congratulations!!

I'm 4+2 with my first, conceived via IVF. I have endo & adeno so pretty nervous. Have told hubby & my sis so far but it's hard keeping the excitement in! It's been a long TTC journey over the last 5 years...

Hope everyone is feeling well in these early days xx

Good morning team, I feel terrible - the morning sickness has really kicked in. Exactly the same as last time (about 6 weeks) and I feel appalling.

I'm lucky that I don't have hyperemesis, and haven't actually thrown up yet but my goodness the nausea, the sicky burps, the uncomfortable tummy gurgles. Been hunting high and low for the anti-nausea bands I used last time as the ginger tea is not helping. 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

Anyone else struggling too?

(For those with no nausea - don't worry, I'm the only one out of my friends with kids who gets it badly when pg. Doesn't mean anything's amiss with your little beans.)

Hi all 👋🏼

So this is me officially hopping on as I tested positive yesterday (was pretty certain and sounds silly but have been in denial for a good week or so!) Bit the bullet and was so convinced I forked out a tenner for a clear blue test 😂 currently 5 weeks with number 2, my son is 2 years 4 months and baby no. 2 is due a few days before his 3rd birthday.

Second time around is going to be very different to the first! I'm lucky I had a textbook first pregnancy, no awful symptoms in first trimester. This time it's pretty much the same. Noticing the tiredness creeping in (that could also be my toddler!) and cramping but otherwise feeling okay. I'm a keen runner and first time around I made it to 30 weeks before I had to stop. If I get that far second time around I'll be amazed!

Someone mentioned on here about an app to use to access midwife services...? Was just going to call gp to arrange booking in appointment but wanted to take a look if it's going to make life easier.

Congratulations first time expectant mums, good luck second/third/fourth timers 😂😘

CurlyNo2 · 07/07/2021 11:32

Just checking in, today we hit 5+2. I have my booking in appt next Thursday and then hopefully going to have an early reassurance scan.

I have major anxiety at the moment. I just don't feel pregnant. I can't remember if I did this early with my son. I don't have nausea, or sore boobs, or CM, or tiredness... nothing!

I'm not holding out hope if I'm really honest.

Mwilliams31 · 07/07/2021 13:26

Hi everyone I am 6 weeks tomorrow and so scared as I suffered a blighted ovum last year. I had super sore boobs last week and now they’re still a bit sore to the touch but nowhere near as bad. I am so afraid that it’s all going wrong again. Has anyone else felt like this in every pregnancy where their symptoms seem to come and go? I have an early scan booked for a week tomorrow and I am really frightened. Would really appreciate some support as I can’t stop crying xx

Mwilliams31 · 07/07/2021 13:27

@CurlyNo2 I am in the same boat! But 5+6 - hope it all goes ok for us! How far along will you be when you have your early scan? X

CurlyNo2 · 07/07/2021 13:29

Possibly 7 weeks. I had an early scan with my son and was the best thing I had done for my anxiety levels.

MissL85 · 07/07/2021 15:31

I went for my EPAC appointment today and they found a sac in the abdominal ultrasound and a heartbeat in the vaginal ultrasound. Earlier I felt really happy but I'm worried there will be some other problems in the future. They want to see me in three weeks and have given me progesterone to take until week 16. They think I'm slightly under the 6 weeks that I thought I was pregnant.

Good news is there is a heartbeat 💓 Take each day as it comes x
Justanotherlondonmum · 07/07/2021 18:18

@treesall thank you, is such a shame it's not spoken about much, I think it would help people cope more knowing how often it does happen.

I'm in South West London, where are you based?

Fiep · 07/07/2021 18:20

That's great news about the heartbeat @MissL85.
Is there something in your life that you can use to distract yourself from the worry? A hobby, meditation, whatever?

ShrimpingViolet · 07/07/2021 18:28

I'm pregnant with my second @mwilliams31 and if it helps my symptoms come and go too. Was the same with my DD who is currently splashing happily in the bath! Try not to worry too much and as others have said take each day as it comes Flowers

@MissL85 good news on the heartbeat. Hope all stays well for you x

redandwhite1 · 07/07/2021 18:36

@Mwilliams31 I'm 5+6 today too Smile

Looks like I’m due 19th of March not even due AF until Sunday.. I had nausea, upset stomach, insomnia, bleeding gums, more emotional, bloating, tmi but very wet down there and today I honestly thought Af was coming early with the cramping… and that test wasn’t even done with fmu oh and headaches every day… wasn’t sure what was happening with my body because I ov’d on Sunday the 27th then had my 1st COVID jab on the 28th so wasn’t sure if it was sideaffects from that or not

MissL85 · 07/07/2021 18:58

I can focus on the writing of my novel. I have read the side effects of the pessary they have given me. It doesn't sound great. They only talked about giving it to me when I mentioned it to them. I don't really like the idea of taking it. I suffer from anxiety and the idea that something can give me blood clots in my head, heart and limbs does not help the anxiety. I'm trying to get hold of someone to speak to about it, especially when the leaflet says to discuss with a doctor if you've had migraines in the past. I used to have them years ago.
Mwilliams31 · 07/07/2021 19:26

Hi @ShrimpingViolet thanks for your reply. Did you have a period when your symptoms properly kicked in? I don’t feel at all pregnant anymore 😢 how far along are you now?

@redandwhite1 congratulations!! Do you have any symptoms yet? X

Neom87 · 07/07/2021 19:42

@MissL85 so glad that you heard the heartbeat. What is the pessary that they have given you for?

Congratulations @Adorkaboo28 and @redandwhite1 and @ballanj

Now I have got passed my 6 week milestone I'm thinking about an early scan, is anyone else considering one and at what stage. I don't know whether to just wait until 8 weeks, it's only two more weeks and I don't want to go too early and not see anything, but then I do want to know if we have a heartbeat ASAP! Maybe 7 and something....? 🙈

The pessary is progesterone so I don't have another miscarriage but they haven't done any tests on me to see whether I have low progesterone.

I've just had mine at 6 weeks but I was referred by my doctor after having two miscarriages back to back.

ShrimpingViolet · 07/07/2021 19:53

I'm only 4+3 ish @Mwilliams31 so still very early but definitely comes and goes. With DD I didn't really ever feel horrendous even in the first trimester. Had a couple of periods of feeling a bit nauseous which was worst around 9 weeks. And just some general tiredness but I was mostly completely normal. Some people don't get drastic symptoms at all Smile

Goldi321 · 07/07/2021 20:22

Hi! Can I join? 4+5 today with a surprise 1st baby- it was our first month of trying and we really didn’t expect it to happen this quickly! Slightly difficult we had a Covid wedding and have a party planned for all our family at the end of the month and a couple of family weddings, I really don’t think we are going to be able to hide it as I won’t be drinking. We are going to have a viability scan at 7 weeks so at least we can tell our parents if they clock on to us.
Main symptom has been feeling a bit jetlagged and period-like cramps that have been on and off since we found out, I was convinced it was the start of AF so the test was a huge surprise. Anyone else having this? I don’t feel like I’m fully able to relax with it because of this.

Neom87 · 07/07/2021 20:34

@Goldi321 congratulations, cramping is very normal and lots of us here have them. I get them every so often and they dont last that long but feel like a bad period pain. I think it's just your uterus stretching and baby getting comfy x

Mwilliams31 · 07/07/2021 20:44

Does anyone know if it’s possible to contact a midwife to discuss your worries in early pregnancy? X

Goldi321 · 07/07/2021 21:00

Thanks @Neom87, I’m feeling more reassured the fact that all the websites tell me it is normal and others are having them! Why does no one mention this? Grin

Neom87 · 07/07/2021 21:13

@Goldi321 I know! It automatically makes you think the worst, I've got one bow actually. It's worth noting (although it's prob different for everyone) when I did have my miscarriage, I was spotting and bleeding before the pain even started.

Sorbfsiabs · 07/07/2021 21:15

Just to let people know - the Facebook group is a private group, named MN22 x

NannyPear · 07/07/2021 21:18

Hey all. Got my BFP today, 9dpo. Third baby for us with an almost 5 and a 2 year old. Would love to join the Facebook group as I was on one with my second child and it was invaluable and still is to this day!

Had HG with my second and scared of what may come over the next few weeks...
