Thought I'd start a new thread for us expecting March 2022!

Congratulations!!

I'm 4+2 with my first, conceived via IVF. I have endo & adeno so pretty nervous. Have told hubby & my sis so far but it's hard keeping the excitement in! It's been a long TTC journey over the last 5 years...

Hope everyone is feeling well in these early days xx

@Starmoose

Hello all, Can you please let me know what 4+1/4+2 means?

Also just found out I'm due March 2022. I've had 1 covid vax and due the other next week. Is anyone here going to take the 2nd dose in their 1st trimester?

Thanks xxx

Congratulations on your pregnancy! So 4+3 means 4 weeks plus 3 days pregnant.

I had both my jabs but when i chatted to them before my 2nd jab there was a chance i was pregnant and i was a few days away from testing so they told me to re-book once i knew and said if i was to wait until after 12 week scan. As i wasnt in the end i had my 2nd one a week later.

HereIfYouNeedMe · 06/07/2021 20:57

@abbs1 that's interesting as that what my GP was saying also but it'll mean a 16 week gap between my first and second!

@Starmoose, hi I am in the same position I have had my first jab but in two minds about the second one, I have been reading loads and still swaying. Right now I think the benefits of the jab out way the negative it will be a long winter to get through ajd cases likely to rise further but still a niggling doubt in my mind as we don't know enough about it, if I do go for it I will be waiting until after 12 weeks x
ShrimpingViolet · 06/07/2021 21:00

I'm having my second jab in a couple of weeks - I'll be nearly 7 weeks pregnant, all being well. From what I've read there's no evidence to suggest there is a reason not to have it. I wouldn't hesitate to have a flu jab and would rather be protected.

That was what the Dr on duty told me. He said its more important to wait for baby to be safe in first trimester and that leaving a longer gap between jabs had no impact on how we you were vaccinated. But thats only what he said. I would go by government page as it may depend on what jab you have.

Gymbelle · 06/07/2021 21:02

Hi all,

Found out I was pregnant today! Ekkk! This will be my first baby (I have had 2 miscarriages, one at 8 weeks and 1 at 12 weeks) so everything crossed for this one.

@Kaytay - I have had my first jab and meant to have my second in a few weeks, thinking of holding out till after 12 weeks.

Lovely to meet you all. Can’t wait for this fantastic journey together 😀

Kaytay · 06/07/2021 21:02

@ShrimpingViolet, thanks for this, needed to hear someone giving a straight answer and I didn't think about the flu jab like that, good way to view it x

ShrimpingViolet · 06/07/2021 21:09

Totally understand concerns @Kaytay so have done a lot of reading of reliable sources (NHS, Tommy's, NCT) etc and all say that you may prefer to delay till after 12 weeks but you can have the Pfizer or Moderna at any stage. No safety concerns identified in other countries where it's been widely used for pregnant women.

So I decided with a potential third wave coming I'd much rather just get it done and know I'm fully protected Smile

Starmoose · 06/07/2021 21:11

Thank you for the replies. Wasn't expecting them so quickly. So glad I've come across this site. My first time here. Very happy to have discovered you guys after spending all evening googling about pregnancy. xxx

Milly238 · 06/07/2021 21:16

@Starmoose congrats on your BFP! I think it means weeks + days so 4+1 would mean 4 weeks and 1 day along if that makes sense?

Milly238 · 06/07/2021 21:19

@Starmoose haha I was very slow in replying it seems!! 😂 just wanted to also say I’ve rescheduled my 2nd jab for after 12 weeks but that’s only because I got AZ. Had it been Pfizer or moderna I may have just gone ahead as normal x

Neom87 · 06/07/2021 21:32

@abbs1 I was a serial tester, I've stopped now. I think its only normal when you have had a loss. I stopped when I got a 3+ on a digital at 5+3, it was reassuring as I previously had only got a 1-2 when I was 6 weeks last time and that confirmed to me it was going wrong. I started to MC that night.

@starmoose it I'd the weeks plus the days.... so in your example it would be 4 weeks and 1 day pregnant, this is calculated from the first day of your last period. In terms of vaccine I haven't had either yet as I was worried about it affecting us conceiving, I'm thinking I might wait until the 2nd trimester to have it.

Neom87 · 06/07/2021 21:34

Oh god!! Just seen all the replies to your question @starmoose, they didn't show up when I was replying!! 🙈

treesall · 06/07/2021 21:42

@Justanotherlondonmum I'm sorry you've had multiple losses. I've had 4 (early) losses in the last year and it's so exhausting. Hoping this is the one that finally sticks. Where in London are you? Fingers crossed for you (and everyone) x

orangemumx · 06/07/2021 22:05

Hi everyone 🥰 so happy to have found this thread! I'm 4+5 so still really early but excited, this is my 2nd! I was just wondering how you find the Facebook group? Xx

Aysh12022 · 06/07/2021 23:01

Hi All,
Congratulations to you all!!
I just found out I was pregnant with my FIRST last week on my 30th Birthday! What a surprise. Ma and hubby have been trying for 3 years since we got married and its been so hard with every1 always asking when are you going to have kids. I still can't believe its finally happening. I am 4 weeks! And due in March 2022. Feels so god to be able to speak to this group about being pregnant as I'm still too scared to tell anyone until after week 12 fingers crossed. Iv had a hard fertility journey getting here and its such a good feeling to finally see the 2 strong lines on a pg test!

moll87 · 07/07/2021 04:47

Hi!

Hoping I can join - I’m currently about 5 weeks with my second (DD turning 2 at the end of the month) although dates are total guesswork as I have PCOS so no clue when I actually ovulated. Hoping to get an early scan in July so I can actually know but due in early March by my estimate. Excited and nervous to be here!

Milly238 · 07/07/2021 06:17

Congrats to all the BFPs!

I think I’m exactly 4 weeks this morning. I woke up in the middle of the night and decided to do a CB digital (4 hour hold) and it came up with 1-2 weeks. My period due date was yesterday so that’s about right isn’t it? My anxiety is so bad and I know I need to step away from the tests but it’s so hard 😫

treesall · 07/07/2021 06:51

@Milly238 I'm 4 weeks today too, and would expect 1-2 if I did a weeks test today. I'm holding out for a couple of days to do one and then hoping to see 2-3.

I know they are notoriously unreliable, so try not to worry too much, though personally they've been a reliable indicator as to whether everything is progressing as it should, so I still do them.

Fiep · 07/07/2021 07:00

Hi @Milly238 I’m 4 weeks too and got a 1-2w. It has triggered my anxiety too so I think I am going to try to step away from the tests. I have a private scan booked for 7.5w on July 31st.

toadstool32 · 07/07/2021 07:19

@Milly238 my anxiety is awful. I got a 2-3on a digital at 12dpo never had 1-2 and a 3+ at 21dpo so I'm convinced it's a molar pregnancy or something. And dye stealers by 15dpo. Couple that with no symptoms that's my only explanation of high hcg with not feeling at all pregnant.

Milly238 · 07/07/2021 08:14

Thanks for all the replies ladies! I have to say I miss my ignorance of darkening lines and weeks on CB digital meaning anything. Definitely need to step away from the tests and just wait until my private scan!

@toadstool32 I’m so sorry to hear how anxious you’re feeling! FlowersI’ve had super bad anxiety ever since getting my BFP. I think try not to worry about anything it can potentially be because you just don’t know and I’m sure high HCG at this point is normal for many women! Also if it makes you feel better, I have hardly any symptoms bar bloating (which I get often anyway thanks to IBS) and sore breasts but their soreness comes and goes.

@Milly238 & @toadstool32 I think everyone is nervous and anxious it's such a worrying time especially when you find out so early. I am such a worrier and was exactly the same with my first so much so I ended up with shingles due to stress so this time I need to try and stay calm for myself and my little one and hope that everything will be okay. I have very little symptoms just now also other than sore boobs that have disappeared over the past few days, sore lower back and very tired, I can't remember when the sickness kicked in last time so that worries me also. Let's try and stay positive together ladies 💜 xxx
Fiep · 07/07/2021 09:11

@toadstool32 not everyone gets symptoms and normal HCG levels can vary widely! And who knows maybe you’re having twins!

AtomicSquash · 07/07/2021 09:24

I still haven't had any symptoms and I'm 7 weeks today. I don't think it's anything worry about, I didn't have any symptoms with my first pregnancy either until around 8/9 weeks maybe.
