Thought I'd start a new thread for us expecting March 2022!

Congratulations!!

I'm 4+2 with my first, conceived via IVF. I have endo & adeno so pretty nervous. Have told hubby & my sis so far but it's hard keeping the excitement in! It's been a long TTC journey over the last 5 years...

Hope everyone is feeling well in these early days xx

@Peanut87

Hello, Just wondering if I could join found out last Friday that I’m pregnant and due around 1st March, so 6 weeks tomorrow! Just so unbelievably happy right now but also a little anxious, just deciding when to book a early scan as I feel it would help me feel more at ease, has anyone else booked one yet?

Had so many symptoms this time round this is my 3rd but with a 9 year gap so feels like I’m new to all this again, so so tired, been nauseous everyday, sometimes all day, extremely sore boobs, so sensitive to smells and needing to wee all the time didn’t really have many symptoms with my previous pregnancies so this has also been new to me and made it much harder to hide.

@Peanut87 I have one booked for 6 weeks but that's because my doctor referred me to the EPAC clinic after having two miscarriages before the 6 week mark.
busybee2102 · 05/07/2021 18:20

@MissL85 No need for me to have a toilet key, all ours are open, however we have been displaced from our normal rooms due to building work. I’m now as far from any loos as is possible to be…!

MissN123 · 05/07/2021 18:57

Hi ladies

Can I join? Due 8th March (I think) which makes me 5 weeks tomorrow. Only found out on Saturday.

This is my first, but had an ectopic pregnancy in Feb this year and had my left tube removed. So I’m very happy to have fallen pregnant but also quite nervous!

Neom87 · 05/07/2021 19:17

@MissL85 @rainfrog21 @Shortmamashortcycles I'm in the knicker checking brigade!! Doesn't help that I am (TMI alert) experiencing quite a bit of CM, anyone else?! 🙈 6 weeks tomorrow which is when I MC last time.

Shortmamashortcycles · 05/07/2021 19:30

Yeah loads of watery and creamy CM which keeps making me think I'm bleeding. 🤦‍♀️

I think I remember the creamy stuff from the last time round so I'm assuming it's normal...

rainfrog21 · 05/07/2021 19:39

@Neom87 and @Shortmamashortcycles yeah the CM sich is bizarre - I'm either getting (a) none (b) what looks like double cream (c) egg-white (???) and (d) slightly yellow stretchy stuff. At the very start I had some that was a light caramel colour and sticky too, but that's gone now.

rainfrog21 · 05/07/2021 19:41

Hi @Milly238 don't worry about the CM it is very normal - so my mates and Mum tell me. I also have the twinges, but mine hurt! x

rainfrog21 · 05/07/2021 19:46

@Shortmamashortcycles

Awww *@rainfrog21*, at least we can pant-watch together. My OH is insanely busy at work for the next couple of weeks so was pleased we conceived (possibly because we don't have to schedule sex this month!) then has pretty much ignored it since then. He'll get more excited after 12 weeks, I think.

Have you told your mum already or are you going to this weekend?

I was amazingly chill from 12 weeks on with my first, no idea how, then was cripplingly anxious for the first 10 months of her life. (She had colic and reflux and then the pandemic happened.) I'm hoping after 12 weeks I can relax with this one... unless I keep getting DD's bloody colds - maybe I should just buy a hazmat suit.

On the other hand, the cold is helping explain why I'm a bit off at work - great pregnancy cover!

@Shortmamashortcycles - so I just worked out how to do the quote thing! I decided to tell my Mum the day after I found out. Not to be a Debbie Downer and raise mc again, but basically one of the worst things for me was having to call her and tell her both about the pg and about the mc on one call - too much of a rollercoaster. We are very close, speak most days, so I also found it horrendous last time before she knew, like I was lying by omission (I realise this is not the case at all, but it was the feeling I had). Anyway, after all that happened I said to her, would you mind if I just tell you straight away next time, it would be such a comfort to be able to have your support, and she said of course, whatever you prefer is fine. Honestly, it has taken a huge mental burden off me just to be able to speak freely with her. If you are close with your Mum and she's not a gossip, I say absolutely go for it - or at least tell one person that you trust so that you have some support, maybe a girlfriend?

My work is very full on and that is a real problem, I'm the boss and my projects are very long running, so I can't get "cover" without a lot of notice. It is always bad when I am ill, but at least with illness I can tell colleagues / clients. Considering "getting a cold" like you for this purpose...

treesall · 05/07/2021 19:52

Hi ladies, can I join you?

I'm very, very tentatively here, having just found out I'm pregnant again following 4 early losses. Fully expecting this one will go the same way but hoping it doesnt. I'm on medication for recurrent miscarriage and hoping this baby will finally be the one that sticks. I have one DS from my first pregnancy and desperately want to give him a sibling! Not even 4 weeks yet so super duper early, but trying to be positive. Strangely I have been a bit nauseous today which is odd, I don't normally feel like that til 6+ weeks.

redandwhite1 · 05/07/2021 20:06

@treesall fingers crossed for you x

I have a lot of CM as well. Fingers crossed your bean sticks this time. 🤞

Fiep · 05/07/2021 20:38

I’ve got everything crossed for you, @treesall x

busybee2102 · 05/07/2021 20:45

Is anyone getting pain when they sneeze? I googled and it sounds like round ligament pain but surely too early?

Milly238 · 05/07/2021 21:14

@rainfrog21 thanks! Need to stop worrying and googling every little thing haha

@treesall fingers crossed for you ❤️

@busybee2102 yeah I’ve been getting that especially when I’m lying down! I wouldn’t worry at all i think I read somewhere that it’s completely normal in pregnancy.

Dumbler · 05/07/2021 21:43

@busybee2102 yes. It’s so annoying. Have to brace myself every time!

Jay210 · 05/07/2021 22:34

Hi, can I join? Got my BFP today, due around 11th March. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks back in October so feeling a mixture of happiness/anxiety. Congratulations to you all 💕💕

rainfrog21 · 05/07/2021 23:53

@Jay210 a few of us are in that boat together, we are all knicker watching so get involved!

busybee2102 · 06/07/2021 05:18

Another question… is anyone taking anything for hay fever? I asked my clinic (ivf) and the nurse said to speak to a pharmacist. Spoke to one and he said only Loratidine. Went to a different chemist another day (to buy some loratidine) and he said that I can’t take anything (even eye drops) until 12 weeks without speaking to a doctor (which I will now do)

@Milly238 and @Dumbler
That makes me feel better, thanks :)
Definitely all about the ‘bracing’ when I feel a sneeze coming. Unfortunately they sometimes sneak up on me!

Fizzyfluff · 06/07/2021 06:28

@MissN123 hiya, I've had a previous ectopic as well and had my tube removed, so I totally feel your anxiety! This is our 3rd pregnancy since that happened me in 2012, so it hasn't impacted on us having babies at all lol.

katewitch · 06/07/2021 06:48

Hi everyone Smile there's so many of you already! I got my BFP yesterday and am 4+0 this morning, due 15th March and my boobs are killing me Grin hello!

Dumbler · 06/07/2021 07:00

Good morning ladies. Anyone else waking up drenched in sweat? Happens to me a few times a night for the past 2 weeks. I get it a couple of days before my period too, but this is another level!
I sleep naked, window open(not curtains!!) so I’m doing everything I can

ShrimpingViolet · 06/07/2021 09:40

Morning everyone. It looks like we have the full range of symptoms! I'm about 4+2 and have had a couple of nights of awful insomnia. Just cannot fall asleep properly until at least 3/4am. A toddler who wakes at 6.30 is not the ideal person to share a house with!

I've also got a really annoying cough (not covid) and got some horrible twinges when coughing lying down. Rubbish.

RainyMondays · 06/07/2021 11:16

Good morning, can I join?

Just got a BFP this morning after TTC since my MMC last September.
I have 3 DC already, 2 older ones from a previous relationship and 1 through IVF with my husband. DH has fertility issues too so I am just terrified I will have another MC like last year. Never really thought we would get yet another chance!

We didn't try properly this or last month as we just got a puppy and were wondering if we should give up TTC altogether.

Sorry for the essay! Quite a complicated backstory Grin

Looks like my due date is 15th March, trying not to get my hopes up too much, but failing miserably!

timeisnotaline · 06/07/2021 12:13

Everything crossed for you treesalls
Good to hear re running second semester, I’m just too tired but love the idea. A slow jog walk anyway, my heart rate is out of control with exercise, at least it was a week or two ago, I’ve been too tired /nauseous since. Hoping to see this baby Thursday and know if it’s going ok so far, I’m still worried it’s not.

Cuwins · 06/07/2021 13:01

I admire those of you talking about running. I have never been a runner, pretty unfit to be honest! Just had to run up the corridor at work and went really dizzy- ended up sat on the floor!
