Thought I'd start a new thread for us expecting March 2022!

Congratulations!!

I'm 4+2 with my first, conceived via IVF. I have endo & adeno so pretty nervous. Have told hubby & my sis so far but it's hard keeping the excitement in! It's been a long TTC journey over the last 5 years...

Hope everyone is feeling well in these early days xx

@rainfrog21 these are right up my street!!!

intheheights · 02/07/2021 10:53

@CurlyNo2 just got a date through for mine, also a telephone appointment and she said she'd then make an appointment for my bloods to be done. Exciting!

toadstool32 · 02/07/2021 11:41

@rainfrog21 I just think it's tempting fate booking midwife appointments and scans so early but each to their own!

Fizzyfluff · 02/07/2021 12:20

Can someone tell me to CALM THE F DOWN, and stop looking at prams 😂

Lya4 · 02/07/2021 13:08

@Fizzyfluff CALM THE F* DOWN and quit looking at prams already!!

KayL1988 · 02/07/2021 14:03

Calm down fizzy!! 😅

Another symptom check from me.. sorry!... Anyone else ridiculously bloated??

SSH27 · 02/07/2021 14:38

@Upsideandundergarments I cried because I hadn't eaten vegetables! I'm right there with you!

@Fizzyfluff I love looking at prams 😂😂

Elune · 02/07/2021 15:01

Hello!

I'm pregnant with number 2. DD is about to turn 2.5. She's a Feb baby so genre will be almost three years between exactly. I confess I haven't had much time to think about it what with chasing a toddler around, but I've installed a pregnancy app so I can remember how far along I am 🙈 Will be a different experience to last time I think, but I had a very straightforward first pregnancy so hoping it'll be the same again!

Hope everyone is doing well!

TTCSOLO · 02/07/2021 15:21

@KayL1988 so bloated here that I actually don't know if my jeans would fit me comfortably..... I'm too scared to try them🙈
@Fizzyfluff yes to looking at the prams too! It's my first so I'm far too excited about everything

toadstool32 · 02/07/2021 15:37

I feel like I'm wading through treacle. Exhaustion doesn't even come close.

Shortmamashortcycles · 02/07/2021 15:46

@toadstool32, I just caught myself dozing off on a zoom call... thankfully my video was off and was just listening to someone else present. Brain has completely switched off.

It does seem to come and go - yesterday I was super productive. 🤷‍♀️😴

I haven’t booked a private scan yet although I will if all goes well. However getting the midwife referral in was important to me so that the pregnancy is on my records- if I miscarry again this will be my third so I will be asking for a referral for investigations and I don’t want to be arguing about how many I have had.

KayL1988 · 02/07/2021 16:24

@TTCSOLO yesssss the bloating is so intense. I'm wearing a floaty dress today to try to hide my bloat, it's ridiculous. Wondering when it'll settle down!

I am excited for all the shopping! Trying to avoid looking at too much!!

I've got a bit more energy today than earlier this week which is nice.

Totally get that @Cuwins I thought the same about getting it on my medical record!

I don't think it's too early for a booking appointment at all but each to their own.

intheheights · 02/07/2021 17:59

When do you think would be the best time to book in for a private scan? 7 weeks? 8 weeks? I don't want to go too early and for them not too see much.

Shiftima · 02/07/2021 18:21

Midwife phone appointment is the 12th July. Scan is 11th August. Shit just got real!

toadstool32 · 02/07/2021 18:40

I just mean @CurlyNo2 how heartbreaking it will be to have to cancel any scans and appointments if I miscarry because I'd booked them too early

MissL85 · 02/07/2021 18:49

I hope I'm not jinxing this but I'm slightly further along in my pregnancy than I was when I miscarried in 2017 and 2018. For me that's a huge positive. As is the fact that my breasts still hurt and I'm starving all the time.

Elune · 02/07/2021 19:06

I really dislike the concept of tempting fate because it's almost like it pushes some sort of blame onto the woman if something goes wrong. At this stage it's out of our hands if something goes wrong and whether we book in for appointments or not has nothing to do with it. It's not tempting fate to be excited and positive, in my view! It's definitely a personal thing whether you choose to arrange stuff now or not, but rest assured that nothing you do now will be responsible should anything go wrong.

I was six weeks when I booked in with number one and will probably do the same again this time. We also had a private scan at 6+4 where we saw the heartbeat - that was very reassuring for an anxious first-timer. I don't think we will do it this time as I'm a bit less in need of reassurance this go round and also we need to save the money, but I was happy we did it the first time and it was very exciting.

Elune · 02/07/2021 19:09

The later the better if you can wait! At 8 weeks, there is much more likely to be something interesting to see. I had one at 6+4, which was great as we saw the heartbeat, but other than that there wasn't much visible, just a small blob! But it depends what your motivation is. We were going on holiday so I wanted to know as far as I could that the pregnancy was 'viable' before I went as I didn't want to have issues abroad.
SSH27 · 02/07/2021 20:06

@Elune Here here! What will be, will be.

Lya4 · 02/07/2021 20:14

I'm 4+3 and still seem to have plenty of energy, not feeling sick or off any food. I'm not falling asleep all over the place like last time and this is kind of worrying me.

I might take my last clearblue digital just to check if there's been any progression for reassurance. Would it have moved on from 1-2 weeks yet or is that a silly question?

You would think by number four I'd be old hat at this but I'm finding myself panicking just as much as I did first time! 🙄

toadstool32 · 02/07/2021 20:19

@Lya4 our hcg all rises at different levels. I never had a 1-2 for some reason, went straight to 2-3 at 12dpo (3+2) I'm 18dpo now (4+1) and will do another digital in a few days to hopefully see a 3+.

CurlyNo2 · 02/07/2021 21:09

@Elune absolutely!! 👏👏👏

@lya4 please don't worry, with my 1st, I had no symptoms whatsoever. This time, I have very few symptoms again, slightly sickly at night time, but nothing major x

timeisnotaline · 03/07/2021 01:02

I was miserably unwell with hg from 6 and 5 weeks with my first and second, so this time is completely different. It only started this week (I’m 7 weeks), I’m a bit nauseous, have to eat regularly and only certain things, I’m being sick in the morning but it’s sooo much better than the other times. It does make me worry it’s not working out, but I should find out thursday. I’m nearly sure the obstetrician said they had ultrasounds at their office so I hope they will do one then.
