@Ofpalestsilver it's been a long journey for you 🙏 tiredness was always the first symptom for me.

We lost our first DC aged 10 months, have had 2 DC and a MC loss in between.

tierneytarny · 24/06/2021 07:29

I’ve woken up very anxious and suddenly desperate for an early reassurance scan. I was dreaming that I was being scanned but they couldn’t find anything and I was trying to hold it together. I’ve woken up so panicked but doubt anywhere could see me today or tomorrow.

rz2022 · 24/06/2021 08:39

@tierneytarny I think we are all the same its probably because u are worried about the pregnancy until u actually have that first scan.😊 Maybe getting a scan would put your mind more at ease ☺️ How far along are you? I'm going to wait another 2 weeks to see if I get a scan appointment if not I'll book a private one myself.

tierneytarny · 24/06/2021 08:45

I’m 7+1; I didn’t have this anxiety with DC1. It’s so strange. Wouldn’t mind but I feel absolutely horrifically nauseous at the moment too. I have found a clinic that could scan at lunchtime but DH is saying he’s too busy. I’m tempted to tell him I’ll go alone (I won’t but I feel like I need to know).

@Ofpalestsilver and @CNizzle congrats 🥳

@Amalfi89 I'm so sorry about your first DC

@tierneytarny I called for a private scan yesterday, they fitted me in a couple hours later, I was in there for ten mins and it was £70. They also did abdominal - had transvaginal at EPU. Honestly didn't realise how easy it'd be, thought it'd be way more of a faff. Whatever you decide, good luck. Think the panic is common though

LKB89 · 24/06/2021 08:53

Hey loves!
I'm jumping i here, I am 5 weeks + 6, due mid Feb. 7 month TTC with only one ovary & one tube due to dermoid cysts removal 6 years ago!

How are you all?

What are your symptoms so far?
My breasts are huge! Not overly painful though, just achy, some cramping, and very tired no matter if I've just woke up after 8 hours or not!

I can't get out my head about ectopic pregnancies 🥺 every little twinge I have more to the left I'm convinced it's that, so paranoid!

Think I'll be paying for an early scan in a couple of weeks, so hard this waiting game, I thought the TWW was the hardest!!!

rz2022 · 24/06/2021 11:18

@tierneytarny I was saying the same thing to my partner the other night I do not remember having this much anxiety & worry with our daughter. He thinks im reading too much online... Which he might be half wrong 🤣 best of luck with your scan if you go ahead with it 🙂 might put your mind at ease 😊

tierneytarny · 24/06/2021 11:27

Booked in over lunch. A small breakdown let me husband realise how much this is playing on my mind!

@rz2022 so strange as I always have the standard worries but this is intense anxiety. It’s come on really quickly!

rz2022 · 24/06/2021 11:50

@LKB89 huge congratulations !!! 😊😊 I think we all feel that anxiety waiting for the first scan! I have nausea and tiredness are my main symptoms but seem to come in waves.

glasspaw · 24/06/2021 11:53

@LKB89 I’m a couple of days behind you. Symptoms have been really up and down and mainly tiredness and nausea, but yesterday I hit the hormonal and unbearably emotional bit 😅 I burst into tears because the smell of laundry powder made me feel sick. I then started reading endless stories about mc, ectopic pregnancy and genetic disorders which ended up properly breaking me. I know these things are a possibility but why I would put myself through reading that stuff when I was already feeling emotional is beyond me!

This is definitely worse than the TWW. I’ve never been so anxious in my entire life.

I can completely identity with all of your anxieties, I'm having such a hard time managing mine. The days seem to be going so slowly.
I have had two miscarriages before, one where a heartbeat was seen and then found out it was a missed miscarriage a couple of weeks later at another scan so I don't even think scans will help settle my nerves.
If anyone has any strategies do share what is working for you, I'm just trying to go to bed early so each day passes a bit quicker! Don't know how effective that strategy is going to be long term!

LKB89 · 24/06/2021 13:43

@glasspaw
Oh i am totally with you on the hormonal emotions, I had just been in Tesco and saw an old man looking at the fresh bread & his baggy beige pants made me cry it was that cute? My heart! What even am I right now?
Google is the devil, any slight thing i feel and i am there. I am also POS every day to ensure all still good. Not normal that is it! When will we feel not so anxious, after 12 weeks? Hope so!!!

@sam433 yaaay! hey! glad we finally graduated form the TWW :-) I dont have any sickness you know, that's causing me another worry but I know we are all different, guess I should be grateful! I had it quite bad Tuesday AM when I immediately woke up then nothing since! I can smell things really strongly though, like everything STINKS!

@Jellybean023 sorry you are feeling this too, if you find any strategy please share, i'm just one big anxious mess atm! x

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 24/06/2021 13:56

@LKB89 my nausea only really just started at seven weeks. Was looking it up and a lot don't get it til eight weeks when hormones really ramp up. I was thinking I might have got off lightly and wouldn't have it 😂

Re worrying about an ectopic, you can check for that between 5-6 weeks on a scan for the sac and yolk to be in the right place. I found it reassuring, though you can't really see anything just blobs!

tierneytarny · 24/06/2021 14:21

We went for a scan and saw a little beating heart and our little bean. Dates slightly behind my own but I know that they can be inaccurate at this point so I’m not over thinking it.
It has eased my worries and recommend an early scan if you’re climbing the walls like I was.
Now I have calmed down, I’m exhausted 🙈

Noodella18 · 24/06/2021 16:25

When is it ok to ask for meds for the nausea? I'm so miserable, it's totally debilitating because I permanently feel on the verge of throwing up. But I haven't actually been sick yet, so I guess that means I shouldn't be asking for meds? I'm finding it hard to work though, and Peppa Pig is looking after my toddler instead of me.

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 24/06/2021 16:35

@Noodella18 you poor thing, horrible feeling like that. I'd say now for the meds, and make sure you get the good ones not the first line cyclizine ones. Feeling like you're going to puke constantly must be awful.

Winnie87 · 24/06/2021 18:35

@Noodella18 I've been put on anti sickness meds I couldn't eat anything apart from mash potatoes was struggling to do anything. The tablets have helped but I'm still having a lot of nausea but managing to eat more never had this with my daughter 😖

That's brilliant news @Trinacham!! 🙂

@Amalfi89 and @Ofpalestsilver, I'm a later one like you two, my est due date is 1st March, so I have hopped on here as there don't seem to be any Marchers around.

Noodella18 · 24/06/2021 20:08

@Winnie87 oh you poor thing! Sorry to hear that. What meds were you prescribed? Was it cyclizine?

Winnie87 · 24/06/2021 20:17

@Noodella18 yeh it is those I was prescribed maybe they aren't the best why I still have the nausea but now I'm managing to hide my sickness at work better 😂

I've just been given my first scan date for 15th July can't wait to be able to tell people! Fingers crossed all is ok!

Can I join? Grin

Currently pregnant - 5 weeks 4 days.

Have lost DD1 and DD2 before this pregnancy so very nervous 👼🏼

Lya4 · 24/06/2021 21:31

Hi I have just found out I'm expecting baby no 4. Due 9 Mar 2022. I know I'm not strictly allowed on this thread but didn't want to be on my own 😆

Lya4 · 24/06/2021 22:35

@Neom87 I'm a Marcher! March 9! Found out today 👋🏼

vmfwh · 25/06/2021 05:46

Morning All! I'd love to join this thread too :) Found out on (21/06/21) my son's 1st birthday that I was pregnant again! We'd been trying for months because we didn't want much of an age gap between him and the next one and it finally happened a month after I started back on the blackseed oil.

Based on my LMP I should be 5 weeks gone now and due date 25/02/22 but I think I may be a bit further behind because a visit to the doctors this week found my hcg levels were just 1300 and no sac was found in the ultrasound. (I live in Dubai at the moment so we don't have waiting times here to see doctors or for scans).

I'm turning 40 in January, had a very difficult pregnancy with my first - I developed gestational hypertension in the last trimester and had to have him induced at 37 weeks because it was getting life threatening for him and me. I've already been told this is a very high risk pregnancy this time around as my blood pressure is already reading pretty high :(

I am in full panic mode at the moment because my breasts are not as sore as they were with my first at all, neither do I feel any cramps this time around, and really hoping nothing is wrong! I have been asked to go back tomorrow morning for another ultrasound to check if a sac can be found and to check if my hcg levels have doubled. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed!

If any of you ladies have any advice on how to stabilise the pressure levels, that would be so helpful! I'm on aspirin and aldomet for the hypertension apart from folic acid and pregnacare vitamins with omega but been told the best way is to control it via a low sodium/low carb diet from the very beginning.

Sending you all lots of good luck and hope everything goes well for all of us :)
