@Trinacham how amazing!! How far are you? I’m thinking of booking a scan at 8 weeks so 2 weeks time x

Trinacham · 23/06/2021 16:38
@Trinacham Great news! 😊

This gives me hope. I started bleeding today and you automatically think the worse. I rang the Doctors and the receptionist said the phone appointments were full for today but she'll put my name down and it'll be at the Doctor's discretion whether they ring or not. Did you just decide to book a scan to check or were you sent for one?
I actually had the scan booked before I had any worries. I just thought it would be nice to have an early scan. Then the bleeding and cramping began. I called EPU and we decided that I'd go to this private scan as planned (as the hospital couldn't see many any sooner anyway).
Google just tells you that if you need to wear more than a pantyliner, you should worry (learnt my lesson on googling!) I was having to wear a sanitary pad. I guess this could be a 'threatened miscarriage', a little frightening, but reassured for now that it is alive and thriving.
I hope your bleeding subsides and you can start to relax.

@Trinacham wow! That’s such great news!!!

Thanks for everyone suggesting vitamins, I’ve just ordered some pregnacare with omega 3 😊

By my period date, I thought I was 7w 6d, but at the scan they said we're measuring at 8w 1d.
I would go for it! It was nice seeing the blob and the little heart ticking away!

@Trinacham and @Snowdonia I had a little pink spotting today, so booked a private scan which I've just had. Honestly was thinking it would be bad news. But baby is measuring 7+1 and there was a heartbeat. There was a tiny little amount of blood measuring 1cm in the uterus visible in the scan - the sonographer said this can be normal/common at 7 weeks ish as the placenta is developing. She said I should get some more spotting and to not worry about it.

Just wanted to reassure you @Snowdonia that it's not necessarily negative. My private scan was £70, very quick (ten mins in and out) and they fitted me in within a couple hours

Snowdonia · 23/06/2021 17:07

@Trinacham @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 Thanks for the reassurance both. I did exactly the same thing with Google 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'll see how it goes for me the rest of the evening and look at booking a scan in the next few days 🤞🏻

HobnobbingAboutHobnobs · 23/06/2021 18:05

I never thought I'd relegate nausea to second place, but my official worst symptom is cold feet! I cannot get comfortable for the life of me, and although I can alleviate the nausea with bread, fluffy socks, slippers, a duvet AND an electric blanket seem to be having little effect on my tootsies 🥶

Enwi · 23/06/2021 18:29

@overtherainbo yep absolutely can catch up. Infact, it’s started happening to me already 😂 I had a scan last Thursday. Should have been 6+0 weeks and they dated me at 5+0 so a full week behind. Today, 6 days later I was dated at 6+1 and I should be 6+6 so only 5 days behind 😅

Baby had a heartbeat and is measuring 6mm ❤️

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 that's amazing, glad you're doing okay and baby is doing well too!

feb2022 · 23/06/2021 18:57

@HobnobbingAboutHobnobs haha that's so strange I'm the complete opposite, I'm like a furnace allll the time, no matter what I wear I'm overheating, fans on in each room 🥵

HobnobbingAboutHobnobs · 23/06/2021 20:18

@feb2022 the rest of me is fine, often challenging the limits of my deodorant tbh! Looking forward to the "glow" of the second trimester.

Hi @sam433 I haven't had a scan yet but from my LMP I am 8 weeks even though I think I am only 6 weeks just because of knowing my body and also got negative test up until day 41 of my cycle. Won't know for sure until my first scan.

See alot of people saying here that they have caught up on weeks with scans.

Hello guys...hoping to join in if that's okay? Believe I'm due 28th Feb so a bit behind but can't see a March thread yet! Not 100% on when I ov'd.

Congrats to everyone, will really help to chat here when I can't share symptoms with anyone else other than DH!

The exhaustion is overwhelming and sickness starting to kick in...also thinking of booking a private scan but want to avoid an internal one! Unfortunately the nearest clinic is at least an hour away.

Also feeling really cold like another poster said...can't warm up! Continuing to take seven seasons trying for a baby tablets as they say contine to take until 12 weeks...400 folic acid, iron and vit D. They're so tiny they're easy to swallow...pregnacare has made me feel far sicker in the past.

Jellybean8 · 23/06/2021 22:20

@Jellybean023 just saw your comment...how weird we've got matching names and matching due dates! I'm due 21st February too!

Jellybean023 · 23/06/2021 22:24

@Jellybean8 oh wow, yeah how weird!

Ofpalestsilver · 23/06/2021 22:35

Hi there - ok if I join this thread? I got my BFP today (well Monday but I didn’t believe it til today) and my due date (based on online calculations!) is 28 February. Bit behind most of you except for @Amalfi89 (hello due date twin!)

Ofpalestsilver · 23/06/2021 22:38

I have a quick question if you wouldn’t mind. What do you mean when you say “I’m 5+2” or “I’m 6+3” etc!

stellaglamski · 23/06/2021 22:46

@Ofpalestsilver it stands for 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant based on due date calculator I think. All the other abbreviations I haven't a clue Grin

Ofpalestsilver · 23/06/2021 22:55

Thanks @stellaglamski !

Amalfi89 · 23/06/2021 22:57

@Ofpalestsilver Hi! I also took a few days to believe the tests...do you have any DC? And any symptoms yet?

Ofpalestsilver · 23/06/2021 23:14

Hi @Amalfi89 no DC. One pregnancy loss about 8 years ago but nothing since. We’ve been ttc for 3 years. I don’t ovulate (well I definitely did once in my life!) so we’ve been doing fertility treatment. I’m super tired and a bit crampy but aside from that, nothing really. What about you?

CNizzle · 24/06/2021 00:37

Hi!
Cautiously joining the group. 5+3 with 1st pregnancy at 41 😱 been ttc for 5+ years and no ivf as I'm over the nhs bmi limit. Emailed to arrange private ivf at the end of May, but got my bfp last week instead! Im totally terrified. Never been more that 3 days late for a period my entire life. Can't get the worry out my mind.
Not really feeling any symptoms just now, v mild nausea the past few afternoons, and one darker nipple (!) But it's all v surreal.
I was delighted to see my concerns were not alone here tho. 🤞 for some happy healthy pregnancies x

stellaglamski · 24/06/2021 07:05

@CNizzle Congratulations! It sounds as though you've had quite a journey. Here's to healthy pregnancies for us all. Smile
