@snowdonia I would contact your doctor just to be safe but I have heard of people bleeding for loads of reasons 😊

overtherainbo · 23/06/2021 10:29

I had my first prorate scan yesterday. I was 7+1 going off my period but it turns out I was only 6+2. A little bit gutted getting knocked back a week but over the moon to see a heart beat

Hope2022 · 23/06/2021 10:57

@overtherainbo great news and how lovely to hear a heart beat 😍

stellaglamski · 23/06/2021 11:07

@overtherainbo congrats. That's so good to hear. Smile

overtherainbo · 23/06/2021 11:12

Thank you. After recurring miscarriages and trying 3 years I'm still wary. I'm debating booking another in 3 weeks to make sure it's progressing normally Blush

rz2022 · 23/06/2021 11:12

@overtherainbo congratulations 🎉🎉 soo lovely to see there is no better feeling ☺️

Snowdonia · 23/06/2021 11:32

@rz2022 Thanks! Hopefully it's nothing to worry about. I've got strong period pains today which I've had off and on for a few weeks anyway. I may ring the doctors soon just in case 🙂

rz2022 · 23/06/2021 11:46

@snowdonia I have cramping and back pain on and off too like period pains. Best of luck with the doctors 😊 hope all goes well for you!

Hope2022 · 23/06/2021 12:24

@Snowdonia I’ve not experienced any bleeding but definitely had cramping a bit over the last week, that seems to have eased and it’s more nausea and stretching I can feel now.

Jane7891 · 23/06/2021 12:41

I was just wondering if any of you ladies are taking any pregnancy supplements, and if so what do you recommend?
I’m currently taking folic acid & b12

Peppercorn2021 · 23/06/2021 12:43

@stellaglamski - I had my 1st pfizer vaccine before I knew I was pregnant - same as @choccrumpet ...although I did let them know that I was ttc and there was a possibility I was pregnant (turns out I was about 2 weeks pregnant at the time!).

The doctor came to talk to me and recommended that I have it, although that of course it was my choice. I was a bit freaked out tbh, especially as on the aftercare leaflet it said 'avoid getting pregnant for 3 months after your vaccine.' The doctor then advised that if I was pregnant, he might suggest I wait to get my 2nd vaccine until after the first trimester. But even since then, there has been more research suggesting it's safe.

I've got my second vaccine date now, which would make me about 10 weeks at the time. I'll speak to the midwife at my booking appointment and see what they say. It is a tricky one though!

Sleepyquest · 23/06/2021 12:45

@Jane7891 I've started taking BetterYou pregnancy spray. You need vitamin D on top of what you're taking ideally x

choccrumpet · 23/06/2021 12:52

Just to add, I was asked if there was a chance if I was pregnant and I said yes I think I might be, my vaccinator then had a word with a medical professional who told him it was okay to go ahead with my vaccine. I was really keen to get it so was glad I was able to @Peppercorn2021

Enwi · 23/06/2021 13:05

@overtherainbo excellent news! Don’t worry about it showing a week behind. All of my pregnancies I’ve had a 6 week scan and they’ve told me I’m 5 weeks and every time it caught up perfectly to my dates at 12 weeks Smile it’s quite common and why they don’t date pregnancies before 12 weeks!

I’m praying that the same is going to happen with this pregnancy as I went last week at 6 weeks, was told I was 5 weeks and am going back tonight to hopefully see a heartbeat… fingers crossed!

Peppercorn2021 · 23/06/2021 13:12

@choccrumpet Yeah sounds very similar then; advice to both of us was to go ahead :)

Hope2022 · 23/06/2021 13:21

I’ve been thinking about the vaccine thing and well my thoughts one minute are I’ve already had the first within weeks of conception so I May as well have the second.. but then my head says wait until second trimester 🤷‍♀️😱 so many decisions 🙈

Hope2022 · 23/06/2021 13:22

@Jane7891 I’m taking the pregnacare vitamins with omega 3 but I can’t always stomach them so some days I’m just taking folic acid at the moment. I was taking the pregnacare conception previously.

rz2022 · 23/06/2021 13:49

@jane7891 I'm also taking pregnacare with omega 3 only started taking them last week was taking folic acid before that

feb2022 · 23/06/2021 14:33

I'm taking folic acid and a normal multivitamin with iron.. both previous pregnancies I've been suffered with anemia right until the end, probably because the thought of meat turns my stomach 🤢
Chilli I'm ok with tho I've had 3 bowls already and it's not even tea time yet 😅

overtherainbo · 23/06/2021 15:13

@Enwi good luck with your scan!

I didn't know you could catch up, she said the foetus was 6mm. I'm debating booking another at 9 weeks to make sure everything is going smoothly. I keep worrying something will happen between now and 12 weeks🙈

Shsh · 23/06/2021 15:19

Has anyone got tips on nausea? Mine is so severe haven’t actually vomited yet but the nausea is definitely a struggle at the minute x

Trinacham · 23/06/2021 15:37

I want to thank everyone for your kind words.
Still in shock really as I convinced myself of the worst but... here is our little bean from today's scan.
The sonographer actually dated it 2 days ahead of my dates going by my period. We saw the flickering heart beat and everything looked fine.
Just goes to show ladies, if you see blood and have cramping, don't panic and assume the worst. Still don't know why I had that, it was more blood than just spotting.. and I know we still have a way to go, but I'm happy that everything is currently looking great😍

Hope2022 · 23/06/2021 15:38

@Trinacham amazing news 😍

feb2022 · 23/06/2021 16:05

@Trinacham amazing!!
Ohh that scan! I've never had an early scan but I'm really contemplating booking one 🥰

Snowdonia · 23/06/2021 16:13

@Trinacham Great news! 😊

This gives me hope. I started bleeding today and you automatically think the worse. I rang the Doctors and the receptionist said the phone appointments were full for today but she'll put my name down and it'll be at the Doctor's discretion whether they ring or not. Did you just decide to book a scan to check or were you sent for one?
