So I thought I was 6+2 today but it is measuring at 5+6. They are happy with the size and want me to go back at 8 weeks due to my repeated losses.

This scan was done at a private fertility clinic. @Amy00 they have done several other tests, blood tests, swabs from the uterus, ovarian reserve test and semen analysis. Some of which have had to pay for privately ! They also prescribed me progesterone too! Xx

haidri · 15/06/2021 11:18

Hi everybodyyyy! Firstly congratulations to all the 2022 mummy's, I'm joining you!

After two consecutive miscarriages at 12 weeks, pray that I make it beyond the mark! Having my booking appointment today

swiggles · 15/06/2021 11:28

Good luck for all the early scans ladies 🤞 how are things with covid restrictions and scans for everyone?
@Amy00 The research around OC doesn't point to any certain cause but essentially your liver is making more bile acid and really high levels can be dangerous for baby as it could damage placenta and so there is an increased risk of still birth if levels are really high. You tend to get checked for it if you become super itchy- but it isn't always OC if you are itchy as that can be a normal pregnancy symptom- esp towards the end. Last pregnancy I had more monitoring and luckily bile levels weren't too high but it was the huge anxiety, constant itching and then ultimately an induction and EMC which I really didn't want - so this time round I am hoping I get spared!

Sophiederuges · 15/06/2021 11:29

@MrsBlue1986 I remember from my first pregnancy that very early scans (viability scans) have an error margin of +/- 3 days, so you’re within the error margin Smile

@Amy00 Mine didn’t do any test as I came to see him after my BFP. I had had private blood tests (via medicheck) that showed low progesterone and he prescribed progesterone and aspirin straight away. I’m on 400mg twice a day.

But it was a right faff to find the meds in the first place! I had to travel 40 minutes away to get some! Did you have the same problem?

Huffthepuff · 15/06/2021 12:53

Just had my scan at EPU. All looks fine and there's a heartbeat. I thought I was 6+2 but she said it's closer to 6+6 so my due date would then be 2nd Feb. Such a relief!

@choccrumpet I asked about extra care with BU. she's still not sure whether it's bicornuate or septated in my case so she wants me to be checked out by a consultant and I'll be consultant led through the pregnancy (partly due to my age also). I'll self refer to the midwife today or tomorrow and was told to make sure it is on my notes xx

Jaylou7rainbow · 15/06/2021 13:55

Hi ladies I am due 22/2 soooo early and so anxious x

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 15/06/2021 14:03

@MrsBlue1986 and @Huffthepuff congrats on the scans!

@haidri welcome, congratulations! So sorry about the two miscarriages, you must be feeling so anxious. Good luck for your booking appointment

glasspaw · 15/06/2021 15:54

@Jaylou7rainbow I’m due two days before you I think and I hear you, the nerves are very real. Will this be your first?

Jaylou7rainbow · 15/06/2021 15:57

No my third but have been pregnant many times also x

choccrumpet · 15/06/2021 16:09

@Huffthepuff that's brilliant, lovely to hear that everything is looking good!! Also thanks for sharing that info. How did you go about getting this scan booked & done?

There are so many people in this thread I'm really struggling to keep up with all the messages 🙈

Mymapuddlington · 15/06/2021 17:18

Hello everyone!! So happy to be on the baby train Grin

Miller2021 · 15/06/2021 17:36

Hey everyone! Small inconsequential question: are any of you keeping a diary or noting down your symptoms as your pregnancy progresses?

I ask because we were ttc and I don't like period-tracker apps, so I had a spreadsheet to write down dates, symptom-spotting etc and now I'm using it to track the pregnancy (just noting my symptoms, temperature, anything else that feels relevant) and it's become a little ritual every day before bed, I find it quite... reassuring?

I'm now wondering if I should write a proper journal in more detail but, like everything in this anxiety-ridden pregnancy hellscape, it feels like tempting fate somehow...

MrsBlue1986 · 15/06/2021 18:28

Just a thought ladies... would anyone be interested if we had a private Facebook ibstead of mumsnet? Could be easier ? 😊 xx

Sophiederuges · 15/06/2021 18:38

@Miller2021 I did for my first pregnancy and I love going through it. But I waited till my 12-week scan before starting the journal.

@MrsBlue1986 If my viability scan is positive, of course I’d love to join a Facebook group. That’s a lovely idea.

scoutcat · 15/06/2021 19:30

Hello! Not sure if I posted in here or in the other Feb group, but I am pregnant with my second child. My first turned three in May! My due date is looking to be around 23rd February. I’d love to join a private Facebook group - I had one with my first from Mumsnet last time too!

Greymalkin12 · 15/06/2021 19:36

Thanks for the responses, I'll try to put off contacting the midwifery services for a week or so. I'd be up for a facebook group!

MrsTwentyNine · 15/06/2021 20:03

Hi all!
I have just got a 1-2 weeks on CB digital.
I had a false positive on an IC last month so I'm tentatively posting on here...
Internet reassures me that this is very rare on digitals! So I am being brave
Congratulations to all you lovely people
I'm ''due'' Feb 26 as per random calculators...
Okay if I joined you all ? This is my no:1 after trying for 8 months :)

MrsTwentyNine · 15/06/2021 20:04

@Greymalkin12 I havent read your original post but I already booked online for a 12 week scan....
I'm an idiot aren't I ...

Lmb1991 · 15/06/2021 20:24

Definitely up for a Facebook group :)

Greymalkin12 · 15/06/2021 20:40

@MrsTwentyNine welcome! No I dont think it's too early to self refer! It's my third pregnancy in eight months (already have a toddler), just feel I have caused the midwifery services a lot of admin recently.

MrsBlue1986 · 15/06/2021 20:41

I made a private Facebook group called:

FEBRUARY LADIES

www.facebook.com/groups/167342251951791/?ref=share

HOPEFULLY that link works above if you can't search for it manually xx

mrskcam · 15/06/2021 22:50

@MrsBlue1986 I'll join the Facebook group! :)

Tiredandobsessed · 16/06/2021 00:12

@Miller2021 I have a journal. We were on quite a tough fertility journey which I was struggling with so my friend got me one for Xmas which I'd been writing it when something happened or I was particularly emotional, I'm planning on keeping it going throughout my pregnancy too as it did really help me and hopefully it'll be a nice keep sake as well. 🤞🏼 the entries aren't as negative now x

MabelH · 16/06/2021 01:35

Thanks @MrsBlue1986 I’ve joined, I’m sorry it’s the middle of the night but ya know insomnia 😅

lovelly · 16/06/2021 05:25
@choccrumpet I'm 6+2, how about you?
I've actually been told it was a bicornuate uterus on one occasion and a septate uterus on another. I trust the diagnosis of the sonographer that called it septate more that the other actually so maybe that's what I have. But BU is what is written on my records. I actually don't think many EPU staff or GPs know much about them. It's all been very vague when I've asked for more info!
When will you register with the midwife?
hi i didn't read all text but i also used to have bicornute uterus or maybe its called didelphy but i did surgery for that before i try to get pregnant
