Been a bit quiet since I first said hello, anxiety has been getting the better of me! We went for an early scan yesterday and got to see a little bean with a good looking heartbeat which was amazing! Had convinced myself it was going to be ectopic or empty. Scan put me at 6+1 although I think that's a few days behind my dates.
I am with everyone on the heat!! I am normally a cold weather person anyway, and being pregnant seems to be messing with my thermostat as it is without it being 26 degrees at 2200! 🥵

@Tiredandobsessed @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 Thank you both - 2 of these have put me at 5+1 so that's what I'm going with now. Hopefully I'll get something more accurate later.

stripytiger09 · 14/06/2021 10:26

@sam433 congratulations! I'm the same - 5+5 today and the sickness has started!

Clareabelle24 · 14/06/2021 10:28

@MrsBlue1986

Hi, I'm 32 from Staffordshire. I'm 6+3 today so similar to you Smile

Clareabelle24 · 14/06/2021 10:30

I hop everyone is doing ok. I have my 2nd vaccine yesterday and I feel so ill. I've been sick and feel so dizzy and bad head Sad feeling sorry for myself

Miller2021 · 14/06/2021 10:31

@choccrumpet I think officially you calculate from first day of last period, but that really assumes that your cycle is 28 days and you ovulated on day 14 - if you know different, take a look at a different calculator and you may get a more accurate result, but your first scan will confirm how far along you really are.

I used this one: flo.health/tools/due-date-calculator where you can input your ovulation date.

@HotelBravoSierra congrats! Must have been lovely to see.

@choccrumpet I've no idea but just made it easier to calculate when I should book an early private scan and expect to see anything!

Is anyone else not feeling nauseous or too bad? I'm just about six weeks, feel fine, a bit tired in the evenings sometimes. A bit thirsty. And a bit constipated - that's it

swiggles · 14/06/2021 11:19

Hello ladies,
Joining in the excitement as I got my BFP yesterday and I think that puts me at 3+3 days - due late Feb! Although I'm really not very good at remembering to log period dates etc! Already have a 14 month old DD, so excited but scared for no. 2 😂

Sophiederuges · 14/06/2021 14:05

Hey everyone! I’m in the Early Feb thread and thought I’d join this one too. I’m 6+3 today. I’m also on baby aspirin and cyclogest and I’m wondering if my intense tiredness (from post lunch onward) and nausea are due to the meds or the pregnancy (had a mmc last time so I’m very cautious. Anybody else in cyclogest?

I’m so tired at bedtime, I feel sick. I’m out like a light at 9pm (but then I’m a massive lark Grin)

Tabbycat92 · 14/06/2021 14:25

Hi @Sophiederuges and congratulations! I'm also in the early Feb group too. Not on cyclogest but taking baby aspirin as I also MC'd recently. I'm constantly tired at the moment. Just no energy, and a huge lack of concentration or enthusiasm for anything!

momo20 · 14/06/2021 14:40

Hi all,

can i join please? I'm very early on 4+6 at the moment so i haven''t told anyone in real life yet - finding it very hard to keep secret!

Shsh · 14/06/2021 15:07

@momo20 I’m the exact same with the struggle to tell people! Will you have an early scan and tell family or wait til 12 weeks? I can’t decide. I’m 4+5 so very close dates with you x

Sycamore89 · 14/06/2021 15:23

Hi @Shsh and @momo20 I’ve also not told anyone.. quite nervous to tell people! I’m thinking of booking an early scan at 7 weeks. 12 weeks seems forever away.

Miller2021 · 14/06/2021 15:26

@momo20 @Shsh I'm desperate to tell people as well! I actually have told two friends: they both knew we were TTC and I'm not super-close to them, so if anything goes wrong I can tell them by email and it won't be as upsetting as it would be if they were my best buddies - that's my logic anyway!

I feel like if we were in normal times and I was seeing friends more frequently in person, going to the pub etc, I would probably be more desperate to tell them - and they may work it out themselves from the fact that I'm not drinking!

Don't want to tell anyone close yet - it seems like tempting fate - and we'll probably have an 8-week private scan before we decide when to tell family.

Huffthepuff · 14/06/2021 15:29

I'm on both threads too as I forgot which one I'd been posting on so have posted on both 🤦🏻‍♀️

My symptoms have been much lighter today. Possibly because I was just constipated... It's hard to know! Sore breasts though still.

Got my scan tomorrow with EPU when I'll be 6.2. So scared that something will be wrong. Excited too just in case it's all ok

Agree about the heat, it's a bit much!

MrsBlue1986 · 14/06/2021 17:00

@Sophiederuges hey! I'm also taking cyclogest. I've been recommended them since I've had 4 previous miscarriages. How long have you been advised to take them for? Xxx

MrsBlue1986 · 14/06/2021 17:01

Update all - I am 6 weeks today, had a scan which showed the yolk sac and the start of a flickering pulse, which is good! I'm going back next week for another scan to check it's grown etc !! Xx

MrsBlue1986 · 14/06/2021 17:03

I think my nausea this evening at 6 weeks has semi started to kick in - can't decide if I'm hungry or nauseous. Xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 14/06/2021 17:04

@Huffthepuff good luck for tomorrow!

@MrsBlue1986 that's lovely you saw a heartbeat! Four miscarriages, that must have been really tough. Glad you're getting the extra scans for reassurance

Tabbycat92 · 14/06/2021 17:04

I've been so crampy today, and generally achey all over. It's making me massively anxious. Anyone else crampy at 6weeks?

Sophiederuges · 14/06/2021 17:07

@MrsBlue1986 That's great news about the scan and the start of a heart beat!

I'm on 400mg x 2 per day. I don't know how long I will have to stay on it. I think the consultant will first want to see a viable pregnancy before thinking further.

I have no idea if the symptoms I am feeling are due to the cyclogest or my pregnancy progressing well. I had a mmc last time and I am aware that progesterone can hide a miscarriage. But I didn't have any symptom with my mc, and this time around, my symptoms and their timing match my first pregnancy (which was successful). I am not sure if I am making sense. I am overthinking everything all the time. It is exhausting.

Huffthepuff · 14/06/2021 17:08

@MrsBlue1986 that's great news! How lovely!

MrsBlue1986 · 14/06/2021 17:16

@Sophiederuges - I'm on the same dosage. I know what you mean about symptoms - is it the pessaries or the pregnancy? How long have you been taking them? I've been taking them each month since October time.

April 2020 - chemical at 4.5 weeks
August 2020 - miscarriage at 10 weeks (baby died at 8 weeks)
Feb 2021 - chemical at 4.5 weeks
April 2021 - chemical at 4.5 weeks.

In both Feb and April- my hcg was staying static - the progesterone was "holding on to the pregnancy" so when I found out my hcg was staying the same I stopped using the progesterone.

So it's the longest now I've been pregnant since my proper pregnancy last August if you know what I mean. My progesterone was taken after my miscarriage in August and they said its low...so I am just hoping that it works this time by taking them!!

I am seeing a private fertility consultant too, who is amazing. We've had all the scans and tests you could possibly have to find out the cause of the miscarriage- and it was possibly due to sperm levels - but this seems to have improved since him taking something for it.

I think my consultant said stay on the cyclogest for 12 weeks.... so 6 more weeks hopefully!! Although I'd be scared to come off them, like you say as they disguise miscarriages/bleeding!! .

Anyway. Essay over!!! 🤣🤣 xx
