Hi can I join?

Got my bfp 8 days ago (5 days before my expected period) I'm currently 4 weeks 5 days.

I'm filled with anxiety as I have a miscarriage in 2019 at 10 weeks. Nothing seems to help my anxiety at all. I just can't wait for my 12 week scan and I know ive got ages to wait. I just want everything to be okay this time.

MrsBlue1986 · 12/06/2021 14:53

Hello all! Tentatively joining!

I'm 5 weeks 6 days today, tomorrow (Sunday) will be 6 weeks exactly. I have a scan booked for Tuesday to check all is well, as I've had 4 previous miscarriages.

No major symptoms yet, just tired. Last year I got to 9 weeks pregnant and was incredibly sick from weeks 6 to 8. So dreading that as of next week!

I'm 34, from Cheshire. Where are we all from? Xx

Sycamore89 · 12/06/2021 15:30

Hi everyone, also tentatively joining! Thanks for setting up the thread, I find it really reassuring to read about everyone else’s symptoms.

I’m 5 weeks and 4 days (I think) and this is my first pregnancy so really not sure what to expect. I had some cramping and sore boobs for the last couple of weeks and I’m super thirsty all the time now, but thats about it. Keep frantically googling when I notice a symptom, and then worrying when I’m not feeling any!

@MrsBlue1986 Nice to meet you! I’m 31 and in Surrey

Sleepyquest · 12/06/2021 16:13

I think I finally have some symptoms! Feel just eurghh and not really fancying anything to eat, but is it the weather? Also so damn bloated all the time! I'm sure with DD I was already feeling sick and wearing my sea bands. I'm 6w5d

SBfern · 12/06/2021 18:47

Went for my reassurance scan this afternoon and saw my little bean ❤

Me and my partner saw the heartbeat. We are 5 weeks 5days with everything looking good so far 🤞

Due February 2022
Sycamore89 · 12/06/2021 19:46

@SBfern Wow, congratulations! Very exciting. Was it a private scan? Who did you book with?

SBfern · 12/06/2021 19:50

@Sycamore89 Yes we paid for a private scan as my midwife appointment isn't until the 5th July and that's to long to wait!

Window to the womb is the company we used, they have clinics around the UK

emalady · 12/06/2021 19:57

@winnie87 definitely bloated. I've given all my maternity clothes to my little sister who is due in August but I think I'm going to be needing them before she is done, especially a I stayed in them for ages

emalady · 12/06/2021 20:02

That's awesome, so exciting. I can't wait for Monday to check on ours.
emalady · 12/06/2021 20:03

@sbfern that's the same as my booking appointment but scan isn't until the 26th which feels like a lifetime at the moment

MrsBlue1986 · 12/06/2021 20:47

@Sycamore89 Hey... I'm similar to you, 5+6 with not many symptoms as of yet. Slight tiredness etc but no sickness yet.

Had a private scan yesterday at 5+5 and they could see the gestational and yolk sac via an abdominal scan only! They wouldn't do transvaginal weirdly. So im hoping by Tuesdays scan they'll be able to see something properly ! X

Tiredandobsessed · 13/06/2021 08:38

Hi all, just looking for a little reassurance I think. I'm 5w5d & I didn't have many symptoms- heavy full boobs, underlying mild nausea, bloating in the evening & intermittent cramps. Since yesterday afternoon I've noticed them disappear, even my boobs seem smaller this morning. The other threads suggests it's fluctuating HCG levels but I'm just wondering if anyone elses symptoms come & go?

Sycamore89 · 13/06/2021 09:00

Hi @Tiredandobsessed - I can’t speak from any previous experience, but my symptoms seem to come and go. They completely went yesterday and I had so much energy. Everything feels back to ‘normal’ this morning though, woke up feeling bloated with the usual stomach twinges.

MabelH · 13/06/2021 09:02

@Tiredandobsessed with my first my symptoms came and went all the time and everything was fine. This time I had no symptoms then 3 days last week where I was totally floored and back to feeling okay - my line progression is good so I’m just hoping everything is fine. I think at this stage symptoms can fluctuate xx

glasspaw · 13/06/2021 09:13

Got my BFP this morning! Cautiously excited but also very nervous. Reassuring to hear that many people are reporting early cramping. I feel like AF is about to start constantly (and have done for about a week now).

So yeah, if I’m lucky enough for this to be a successful pregnancy, due Feb 2022!

Tiredandobsessed · 13/06/2021 09:44

Thanks @Sycamore89 & @MabelH, reassuring to know I'm not the only one, sometimes it's nice to know you're not the only one experiencing something. Trying very hard to be grateful for no big symptoms, didn't think I'd be this worried after I got the BFP. Hope everyone is well this morning x

Winterfellismyhome · 13/06/2021 09:51

Congratulations @glasspaw i had that feeling for about a week before i got my BFP and a few days afterwards. Seems to have settled now

Rmw99 · 13/06/2021 10:34

Anyone else suffering bad with neasua? I literally can't stand up without feeling sick 🤢 il be 6 weeks tomorrow x

Waiting4holidays · 13/06/2021 10:54

Tentatively joining, exactly 4 weeks today with my third. No symptoms, but that’s not unusual for me. Going to wait until 6weeks to call the midwife @gp for an appt

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 13/06/2021 11:17

@Tiredandobsessed mine come and go also, sometimes I feel exhausted, sometimes fine. When I had a miscarriage previously, I didn't get a loss of symptoms, I knew it was a failing pregnancy but still felt pregnant and bloated and very sore boobs until after I'd started bleeding. I think it's normal for it to fluctuate, and also for us to get used to it so t feel less bad

glasspaw · 13/06/2021 13:06

At what point do people think it is right to tell the GP and then their employer? Don’t want to jump the gun but the jury seems a bit out on whether it’s best to do ASAP or wait a few weeks.

I’m around 4 weeks.

Sleepyquest · 13/06/2021 13:15

@glasspaw I called the GP at 5 weeks. Not telling my employer until after the scan this time, WFH so they don't need to know yet I don't think.

emalady · 13/06/2021 13:41

@glasspaw gp or midwife around 6 weeks generally. It depends a lot on the employer. I will probably tell work this week when I'm 6 weeks but they knew we were having ivf and there are some things that I might need to change at work. If it won't change things at work I'd probably wait until 12 week scan.

Greymalkin12 · 13/06/2021 14:23

Tentatively joining, got bfp yesterday, I think around 4 weeks. I already have a 3 year old. Hope everyone is doing well xx

Shsh · 13/06/2021 14:49

Joining you all.. 4 weeks 3 days due around 17th feb 2022.. anyone else got serious bloating and what feels like trapped wind on evenings? X
