@Bundaberg84 sorry for firing questions at you. I guess what I'm trying to say is it might not be a chemical or an ectopic. And I'm hoping for good news for you. I think from another thread, you're only slightly ahead of me. So you'd still be so early to expect to see something on a scan, even transvaginally. They were keen to stress to me it could be anything at this point - a normal pregnancy, a mc, an ectopic, or twins (apparently high hcg with nothing on a scan yet can be a sign of twins).

Also not looking good for me. Had strong cramps yesterday and throughout today, then the past few hours I've had sharp stabbing pains on and off on my right hand side as well as some pink spotting. I called EPU and they've booked me in for a scan tomorrow morning. Think this is only because I had a MC on 1st May, as before they wouldn't see me.
I really hope it's not another MC 😔 it just seems to cruel

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I am 6 weeks today. My hcg levels were around 2500 I think? My ob/gyn said it's almost impossible to not see anything on the scan, and also my uterus was measuring smaller today than last Thursday. The uterus was just plain empty, nothing there to see. That combined with the fact that the bleeding is stronger (and more red) is just not a very good sign. Thank you very much for your reply though! Of course I'd be very happy if it would develop further. If they call me tomorrow to tell me the hcg didn't rise further, then I'll know what happend. And if it's still doubling, I will just have to wait...

Hopefully tomorrow your hcg levels are higher lovely. I've read about so many women having big bleeds and still had a healthy pregnancy.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 thank you! As they say, prepare for the worst, hope for the best. I read some success stories about women who were still pregnant, even though there was nothing to see at 6 weeks. I mean, who knows. I wanted to drink a big gin today but now I think I'll wait. Just one day. I'll have an alcohol-free gin instead.

I’m due 7th Feb, I’m 5 weeks 2 days pregnant. I’ve been pulling my hair out with anxiety! Had a MC over a year ago at 4 weeks.

This was unplanned, and my partner and I just got engaged, so I’m feeling overwhelmed, scared, annoyed, excited.

Really really missing my wine!

Symptoms so far:

• Tired
• Hot
• Sore/itchy boobs
• So hungry
• Bit grumpy

Hi all, tentatively joining you guys 👋

I've been holding off as have been trying to conceive a second baby for 2 years with no good outcomes so I I am VERY nervous.
If all goes well I'll be due 6th Feb.

I wanted to reach out to those who are concerned about ectopics. I had one in 2019 discovered at 7 weeks. Sending love and positive vibes as it's such a scary time ❤️

No major symptoms for me yet at 5+3 but I do feel exhausted and a couple of waves of nausea plus intermittently sore boobs. When I was pregnant with DS I didn't have any real symptoms till about 8 weeks though which is when I took a test.

Will give EPU a call in the next couple of days to arrange a scan hopefully for next week when I'll be 6 weeks plus. Trying to stay calm but it's hard to think of anything else!

I've got a son who's 2.5 years old but I had 2 miscarriages before him and I'm convinced something isn't right again 😓

I've had cramps for the past hour and lower backache too, they are very mild but they are there and don't seem to be easing even with paracetamol 😟

Only symptoms I've got is sore boobs and tiredness so I'm scared.

Anyone else got these cramps and backache? No bleeding yet 🤞🏼

@chelsea93lucas I've also had backache and cramps on and off. I had a MC earlier this year too, but things do feel different to then so who knows 🤞 keep positive!

@chelsea93lucas I've had what feels like period pains on and off and a sore back since I found our I was pregnant.

I'm 6 weeks 1 day , I did have a UTI last week though so I think that made my symptoms worse

@chelsea93lucas I also have had cramps since a few days a before testing, I’m 3+5 now and tested Sunday. Obviously very worried as I also had a mc that had cramps but no bleeding yet and doesn’t ease with paraceptamol which I’m actually taking as a positive more likely to be gas/digestion pain. My tests are also much stronger this time so I’m hoping that bodes well. Sending lots of positive thoughts - each day is a day closer x x

@Twink32 yep definitely the same although my day off work today and found it much harder to distract myself and ended up doing 5 tests (whoops) but they are comforting me a little

I was wondering if maybe I could have a UTI.
How did you know you had a UTI?

@Lbiddis thank you. When you had your mc did you start bleeding straight after your cramping? I've had this cramp for a good few hours now and fingers crossed no bleeding yet. My tests are dark but when I had a MMC my tests were dark anyway so it doesn't help me 😟

I just wish we could know what's going on in our bodies! Xx

@chelsea93lucas yes last time my bleeding started a few hours after the cramps began

I went to my nans as she has the urine dip tests due to having kidney problems.

I tested my urine because It was burning a little when I went to the toilet. The strip showed that I had a UTI, so I phoned my GP who agreed due to symptoms and how the strip changed.

Maybe phone your Doctor of you are worried🙂

@chelsea93lucas I know!! It seems so unfair that the feelings of pms/af are so close to the feelings of early pregnancy. When I mc I’d been having normal cramp feelings from before I was due (same really as now) but it just got worse a week or so later with bleeding as well over 3 days. It felt like the cramps suddenly got worse/different so trying to hope that the first cramps were normal and then the mc was sort of separate. If it happens again I feel comforted in a way thinking that there must therefore be a problem like fibroids or something causing the cramps and going to go for private tests if it fails I’ve decided.

I've had a sharp prodding pain in the exact same spot in my groin all day, I've got quite a complex history & at risk of ectopic so I panicked. Luckily got to speak to a really nice GP who sent me straight to EPU, scanned and gestational sac & yolk sac were in the right place. I'm only 5w1d so wasn't sure they'd see anything, got to go back in 2 weeks to see if it's viable. The pain is still there but my heart rate has slowed down a little now!

is your hcg level doubling i got spoting the time of period for 3 days so my doctor check my hcg and she said if my hcg is doubling then ectopic is unlikely
