@Clareabelle24 I don’t think they’ll give you it- AZ not approved for pregnancy at any stage

Clareabelle24 · 07/06/2021 20:52

@MabelH

That's what I read but then I also read if I've already had one AZ then I'd be fine having the 2nd.

My drs have said there's no issue at all and the advice they're given to give to people is continue with the vaccines whether AZ or not.

MabelH · 07/06/2021 21:36

Oh really, I think I’d be nervous but then I’d be nervous without full protection too and I’m lucky to have had both mine already. Tough decision but just do what feels right for you xxx

Bundaberg84 · 07/06/2021 22:01

I went to my second appointment at my ob/gyn to determine the hcg levels. I asked him if I should do the shot scheduled next week. He said it's my decision really but also he said if I was his daughter he'd say don't do it. Wait until the third trimester was his advice.

Tiredandobsessed · 07/06/2021 22:02

@clareabelle24
I was also due my 2nd AZ jab & I've cancelled it for now, my current thoughts are to wait until the 2nd trimester but I'm changing my mind on everything at the moment so who knows 🥴 I want to be safe & protect myself & others but I'm not sure if I'd cope with the guilt if I had it then something went wrong, I know it would most probably be unrelated but I'd always think "what if"
I am so happy that we're pregnant but I really thought I'd be more excited, I'm just so bloody worried about everything x

@Bundaberg84 did the dr give a reason for waiting til third trimester? I'm nervous about the increased stillbirths that's been in the news from mothers having Covid. I haven't had it yet (I don't think) and as things are opening up and I'll be back at work shortly, I'm not sure what to do for the best

Twink32 · 07/06/2021 23:21

Thanks @Lbiddis I really appreciate it 💗 I know what you mean it’s a really anxious time & lots of mixed emotions when you find out you’re pregnant. I’m trying not to think about it much to be honest just trying to look after myself as much as possible & hope I get as far as having a scan. I hope you are ok & looking after yourself. Thanks too @Bundaberg84 😊

Got my 3+ on clear blue this morning which is a weight off. VTired today after being super Restless last night - away this weekend with sil who had mc recently and has been on long conception journey, OH wants to tell them but I’m not sure- don’t want to be insensitive and also still Vearly, thoughts? They’ll probably click when I’m not drinking!! My mum and sis know which is why I think he wants to even it out but I’m still v nervous as so early!

HobnobbingAboutHobnobs · 08/06/2021 08:55

I did another test today as I'm "officially" late, and the line appeared straight away and kept getting darker! I'm now wondering about twins - the line was nowhere near as dark last time I was pregnant!

GlassLily · 08/06/2021 09:23

Hi all, can I join this bus please? 5+3 today, EDD 5 Feb 🙂 currently panicking because my symptoms have disappeared the last few days (sore boobs was the main one) but had a search of MN and seems like it's very common, anyone else had this?

Tabbycat92 · 08/06/2021 09:35

@GlassLily my symptoms seem to come and go. Some times I panic they're gone, then a couple hours later they're back.
Odd one come on since yesterday, I was cleaning out the cupboard that we store potato's in and I was nearly sick as all I could smell was rotting fish 🤮 no whenever I walk past the potato's that all I smell

Tabbycat92 · 08/06/2021 09:36

@HobnobbingAboutHobnobs I worry about twins too with how dark my lines are. There are twins that run in my family too

GlassLily · 08/06/2021 10:00

Thanks @Tabbycat92! I haven't been feeling pregnant at all but may be getting a little nausea now..... Not much though. Scan isn't for 8 days yet. Too long to wait!

Dreamer30 · 08/06/2021 10:24

My symptoms seem to come and go too.
Still getting 2-3 on CBD and really faint lines on cheapies. Had some cramps too so called the EPU as I'm scared of a 2nd MC. The first one my tests started going lighter too. Basically there's nothing they can do until I'm 6 weeks (5w+3d) 😔 which I already knew but I wish they'd just offer to do my bloods to see my levels. Seems to not be a thing in the UK

emalady · 08/06/2021 11:05

I got my 3+ yesterday so very pleased with that, promised DH I will stop testing now 🙄. 6 days until viability scan, I can't wait.

I thought the reason for not having covid vaccination in the first trimester is that fever can cause issues in early pregnancy (same as avoiding hot baths early on) and fever is a common side effect of the vaccines, especially AZ.

Lowkeyloopy · 08/06/2021 17:42

Happy to hear about all the 3+ results! I’m 4wks, 5 days today. Going to try to hold out 1 week and then try for a 3+.

@GlassLily I’m also worried about the lack of symptoms. My mum and best friend who recently had a healthy baby have been assuring me it’s totally normal for them to come and go, and that in a few weeks I’ll be wishing I had enjoyed being symptomless!

I’ve had some light cramping which seems to have calmed down today. I was initially tired but not so much any more. Haven’t had sore boobs at all but also haven’t had them pre AF at all recently, which weirdly I think is connected to my diet (no caffeine, very little meat - sounds odd but I googled it!). Just had slightly sore nipples.

I also noticed an increased sense of smell in the first few days but not sure that’s as strong any more.

Anyone who has been through a successful pregnancy before - do you remember when your symptoms kicked in? If ever?!

I was meant to be getting my jab on Friday. I have total confidence in the vaccine itself not being dangerous, but will postpone it until the second trimester just in case of a fever as a side effect.

Also thinking I’ll have an early reassurance scan - having done some extensive research (on Mumsnet), it looks like 8 weeks is the best time to go in terms of maximum reassurance and seeing as much as possible and hearing a heartbeat. I think the private companies suggest going on earlier so that you get to 7 weeks and think “maybe I should get another one…”.

Tabbycat92 · 09/06/2021 07:15

Woo I got my 3+ today at 5+4 😊 so pleased. I feel reassured enough to register with GP/midwives now.

@Lowkeyloopy with my son I had next to no symptoms at all. No sickness, hardly any boob tenderness, no nausea, nothing. So I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe you're one of the lucky ones? Or maybe you'll be hit with them in a week or two?

MabelH · 09/06/2021 07:57

Feeling V pregnant this morning. Eugh. The nausea has hit HARD. I actually wanna be sick cause I think that would help
🙈

OliviaGrace15 · 09/06/2021 09:09

@MabelH My nausea is bad too, im on anti sickness meds already because i tend to get hg in pregnancy so trying to avoid that, my advice would be to try and not be sick if you can help it, because pregnancy sickness doesnt make you feel any better once youve thrown up you still feel just as bad so its better to just try and rest, eat and drink, if it gets awful ask for some meds :) x

Had you been sick before you got your meds this time? I had HG in my last pregnancy, but I've only been sick once so far so was hoping I wasn't going to get it again (although am nauseous most of the time, it's not debilitating yet like last time) not sure if I should be asking for antiemetics already? I assumed I'd have to wait until it was bad again

Bundaberg84 · 09/06/2021 11:08

I'm sorry I'm bringing negative vibes to this thread but unfortunately I just got bad news. Even though my hcg levels were great, they couldn't see anything on my scan today. I'm now in the awkward position of hoping for a chemical and lower hcg, as the only other option would be an ectopic pregnancy. I had such a great initial feeling but to be honest I lost it last weekend a bit. I hope so much that I'm going to be the statistical chemical in this thread and you all continue with a healthy 9 months ❤️
If you can, I would be glad if you can send me some positive vibes that it will result in a chemical and nothing that would need surgery.

MabelH · 09/06/2021 11:27

So sorry @Bundaberg84, I hope for the best outcome to a horrible thing :( sending love

Bundaberg84 · 09/06/2021 11:28

@MabelH thank you hun!

Lbiddis · 09/06/2021 11:40

@Bundaberg84 so sorry to hear this, so so difficult for you. Sending lots of thoughts, be kind to yourself x x x

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 09/06/2021 12:10

@Bundaberg84 how many dpo are you? What are your levels? I'm also being looked at for a possible ectopic, was scanned yesterday a my 19dpo and they couldn't seen anything. However it was very early. My hcg was 1471. I'm going back tomorrow. Would say check for doubling of hcg, many can't be seen until 6/7 weeks, and nothing can be seen until hcg is 1200 to 2000 transvaginally.
Fingers crossed for a good outcome xxx
