I’m feeling the same - I’m fed up of having to think about how I’m going to get myself up off the sofa! Roll on July!

PeanutButterFalcon · 13/06/2021 21:16

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE I will be 37 weeks this week so a little while to go yet. Hopefully not too much longer though. You?

@TiredAlreadyOhDear it’s becoming a work out isn’t it

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 13/06/2021 21:22

37 today! Would like to go into labour before induction in 14 days but also aware still not finished packing bags Blush

OP posts:
PeanutButterFalcon · 13/06/2021 21:27

I keep telling myself we can pack the bags while in labour if we need to but aiming to get things done soon. I have finished work now so hoping the time off will be used to prepare and hopefully encourage baby to come.

feistymumma · 13/06/2021 21:28

Congratulations @Lullabymummy17. Hello everyone. I am literally melting in the heat and counting down. Being induced week beginning 12th July and I can't wait. It has slowly become a nightmare with my SPD flaring up really badly plus I have to take blood thinning injections. Yesterday's injection hurt so bad I burst into tears. We were planning on trying for baby number 5 a few months after but we might have to shelve that idea now. I am just so fed up at this point. Phew rant over :)

Hahahaha, I am with you. I often find myself stuck on the bed unable to move and calling for help.
FirstTimeMummy2021 · 13/06/2021 21:39

@feistymumma This is me too! I huff every time I try to roll over and my husband now has to help me out of bed in the morning. My pelvis hurts a lot most mornings which doesn't help.
Will be 37 weeks this week, still at work though... not sure I've accepted whats about to happen!

feistymumma · 13/06/2021 21:51

@FirstTimeMummy2021 it's a real struggle now but the end is nigh! My pelvis hurts a lot in the morning as well and throughout the day. You are a real trooper to still be working. I had planned to work until week 38 but was signed off beginning of April as my SPD was unbearable and I couldn't concentrate at work.

PurpleCurtain · 13/06/2021 21:56

Good that you have a date you can't go over though @THATbasicSNOWFLAKE! - I'm not coping with the uncertainty that baby could come any time in the next 6 weeks Confused

As for the heat... I hate it when not pregnant! Has been much easier to deal with since I bought a fan a week or so ago though!

Tmi sorry but... my farts are getting so much more frequent right now! And I could swear they smell of baby poo, is that a thing...?!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 13/06/2021 22:03

If its a thing i have never heard of it!

I did initially feel better having the induction date but now i think its stressing me out. I feel like time is closing in on me

OP posts:
TiredAlreadyOhDear · 13/06/2021 22:13

I feel totally not ready - should have packed my bag this weekend but was so busy didn’t manage to so I’m just going to do it over a couple of evenings this week after work. Feel like my house is a total state too so need to get that all cleaned and sorted - the midwife is doing my appointment at my house this week so that’s another added stress!!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 13/06/2021 22:36

Mine is half packed. Has been for weeks.

I declined the before birth visit. I don't have time for that.

My house is awful

OP posts:
PurpleCurtain · 13/06/2021 22:55

Ahh sorry you feel like that @THATbasicSNOWFLAKE! It will be worth it and the stress will be forgotten once little one is here though... I hope Grin

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 14/06/2021 04:30

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE at least we all seem to be in the same boat!

I guess we’ll get sorted in time - as we have no other choice haha!

I think tonight’s sleep has been the worst I’ve had during pregnancy literally seen every hour more than once :(

Vie8126 · 14/06/2021 06:25

Sorry everyone else is struggling just as much but at least I know I'm not just miserable for the sake of it!!

Hip pain is killing me of a night so lay one side drift off wake up in agony huff and puff to roll over to other side and repeat. All night. Throw in a few nightime toilet trips, which I'm so glad are back 🙄

I have a stretch and sweep at 38 weeks so have 5 weeks until then to sort my life out also hoping that mat leave will be when I can get things sorted as just not a chance before hand.

PeanutButterFalcon · 14/06/2021 06:43

@PurpleCurtain I’ve been getting a lot of wind too. I’m not a windy person. Guessing it’s to do with the baby. Can’t say they smell like baby poo though. Also been getting more and more spots so I’m assuming my hormones are changing.

@TiredAlreadyOhDear I couldn’t sleep either, between the heat, needing the toilet and braxton hicks it’s been a long night. DH has hay fever too and is struggling at night so we’re a pair at the moment

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 14/06/2021 07:37

Struggled with the heat last night. That and snoring DP Angry

Is your sweep already booked in @Vie8126? I am going to ask for one at my 38 week appointment (next week!) so a few days before planned induction. Figure even if it doesnt work it will give me an idea of hpw my cervix is!

OP posts:
pinkgin8 · 14/06/2021 09:58

Are you allowed to request a sweep when you reach 38 weeks?? To get things going naturally? If no sign of anything happening? I heard with your second pregnancy you are allowed to request it but I am not sure how true this is?

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 14/06/2021 10:07

Im not 100% on the rules tbh, both of the times i had one it was around due date but i know people who have had them in week 38 when induction is booked in week 39 so hopefully i can get one

OP posts:
pinkgin8 · 14/06/2021 10:17

Ah I see. Maybe you can only have a sweep if you have a plan to be induced

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 14/06/2021 10:19

Possibly. I should be getting a call at some point to book another scan so i might ask then although if its a receptionist they may not know

OP posts:
pinkgin8 · 14/06/2021 10:19

(To avoid being induced)

pinkgin8 · 14/06/2021 10:19

Yeah! I may ask my midwife tomorrow

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 14/06/2021 10:36

Please report back @pinkgin8!

This heat is starting to make me think about how on earth I’m going to keep the baby cool when he arrives mid July 🥵 anybody got any tips for keeping bedrooms cool?! We’ve got a fan, keep the curtains shut during the day etc. Someone I know recommended (for me) those puppy cooling mats for post-birth which I thought sounded like a major life hack!

I feel ridiculous worrying so much considering there are babies born in much hotter climates, but here we are!
