I've been getting BH and they make me unable to breathe properly, it can be quite intense. My pelvis has also begun hurting so I'm going to mention that next week for the 34 wk appointment.

Hope things are going well for you @Lullabymummy17!

Flittingaboutagain · 09/06/2021 01:48

I'm 35 weeks now. The lump that appears at the top of my bump is apparently baby's bum so at least baby is head down even if it does feel like I'm being cracked in half in the pelvis!

It's happened again this eve. Come 5pm the BH started and were on and off until bedtime!

Midwife has recommended a slide sheet to help with PGP if it gets worse to help me at my most stiff in the mornings. Anyone else using one/going to be?

It's so hot 🔥 fan isn't doing it tonight!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 09/06/2021 09:58

Funnily enough i had no bh last night! 36+3 now, seeing consultant today. Would like a scan but don't think i am getting one!

I have never tried a slide sheet, i find it helps (a bit) to lift my bum a bit off the bed as i turn

I am absoloutley melting

I'm 35+2 and woah the baby movements over the last few days have been crazy! As I have an anterior placenta I was only ever really feeling movements like swishes and rolls and they hadn't really been getting stronger (my midwife wasn't concerned and I've been in for monitoring a couple of times). However I'm now getting beaten up from the inside 😂 quite enjoying it to be fair, but I can't imagine how strong the kicks must be for those with a posterior placenta!

CoffeeAndCaramel · 09/06/2021 16:53

Anyone else developed really weird cravings in this last hurdle? My new favourite smell in the world is damp towels. Kids had swimming last night and I purposely left the wet towels in the bag overnight and had great satisfaction sniffing them this morning. So weird 😂

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 09/06/2021 17:11

😅🤣😂😅🤣😂 omg @CoffeeAndCaramel! Atleast you only sniffed them!

CoffeeAndCaramel · 09/06/2021 17:22

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE honestly I'm pretty normal IRL 🤣
It's normally a smell you'd rather avoid but my god I love it haha xx

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 09/06/2021 19:29

As long as you dont start sucking them @CoffeeAndCaramel

I've randomly started wanting radishes all the time. I am not bothered by them at all normally. I will turn into one at this rate.

Pinkroseuk · 09/06/2021 21:26

I don't seem to be able to eat a sandwich unless it has cucumber in it! Not sure why 🤷‍♀️

Lullabymummy17 · 09/06/2021 23:41

Hi all! Babies Luna and Joshua have arrived!

You'll never believe it but... they have different birthdays! Luna was born on 8.6.21 at 11:26 pm via vaginal delivery. Joshua then decided to get himself into a diving position and wanted to come out with his hands, feet and head all at once! We were rushed into theater and he was delivered at 12:06 on 9.6.21! It has been a massive whirlwind but babies are doing well in NICU. They need a little support with feeding and have jaundice but are breathing by themselves.

It's going to take a while for me to recover but I'm feeling very positive and am being well cared for.

Hope youre all doing well 💓

Mummy2O · 09/06/2021 23:57

@Lullabymummy17 Congratulations!! That is wonderful news. Fancy them being born on different dates! The chances of that have to be pretty slim. I hope you are all doing OK.

How is everyone getting on in this heat? My heartburn and nausea appear to have come back in the last few days, worse than I've had throughout this pregnancy so far!

Mummy2O · 12/06/2021 21:59

@FirstTimeMummy2021 I honestly feel like I am melting. I feel so bloated too. Sleep just isn't happening at the moment.

HumunaHey · 12/06/2021 22:10

I was melting this afternoon. I had 2 solero ice creams, one after the other, which won't help how wary I've become of my accelerated weight gain in the last few weeks. I can't wait to get my body back. I'm getting fatter, creakier and sweatier everyday.

Vie8126 · 13/06/2021 14:25

Congratulations @Lullabymummy17!! Hope you are all well.

I'm hot and bothered and exhausted. The baby has a massive new lease of life and is enjoying major movements and kicks 24/7 I'm hot all the time. My teenagers have been hellish this weekend and I completely lost the plot with them yesterday! Like a woman possessed. And my poor mum too who was sticking up for them. Then felt bad all afternoon. Heartburn is awful. Oh and the ankle swelling at the end of the day well where my ankles used to be anyway!

I'm literally no further forward with anything baby's room still needs to be finished, bags aren't packed, don't even have a towel or a sheet for the poor little thing atm and nothing for my bag. 33 weeks now and 2.5 more weeks at work left. Braxton hicks are so strong the pressure and everything is really taking my breath away.

How's everyone holding up in the heat?

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 13/06/2021 15:02

Does anyone have any tips on how to get baby out? The thought of going overdue is terrifying especially in this heat

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 13/06/2021 20:43
