Urgh, that would stress me out! Can you get a refund and get it somewhere else?

I’m more annoyed than anything about the customer service - they’ve not even apologised. I’m going to phone tomorrow and speak to them directly. It leaves it too late for us to order another egg2 and get it before the baby is due - I know it’s not the end of the world and I can get something else but it’s just really terrible service. I thought i was so organised as well 🙈

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 02/06/2021 17:43

Very poor that they haven't apologised. Stamping your foot a bit might get some discount though, was there any others you liked?

@TiredAlreadyOhDear would you contemplate a second hand one? I wouldn't want to risk start of July personally given I think it may feel too hot for using slings as an alternative (although note to self to check our vista will fit in our car!).

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 02/06/2021 18:04

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE I’m going to phone tomorrow and see what options they give me - but I refuse to lose any money when they specifically told me end of May and now moving the goal posts to ‘approximately early July’

@PurpleCurtain I would for the pram, but not for the car seat - we got the isofix and car seat in with the travel system and the annoying thing is we’ve bought a second isofix base as we have two cars so wanted one in both cars - the bases are car seat specific so we will need the egg car seat if we want to use the second isofix base we bought (we bought this from another place seperate to the place we ordered the travel system from as well).

I’m 34 weeks today I wanted the car seat and everything all in the car ready for when I’m 36 weeks.
Will see what they say tomorrow but I’m really annoyed....I personally don’t think they put in the order back in April and only put it in when I’ve chased it up as it was going to take 6 weeks - and it’s been ‘delayed’ by 6 weeks - just doesn’t seem right.....the delay is the same as the order time 🤨

Like I say not the end of the world and there are much bigger issues that I know people are dealing with but just really annoyed me today!

34 weeks today tho! We can all officially say that next month we will have our babies!!! Arghhh!!!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 02/06/2021 18:24

I would want everything in my house i think by 37 weeks tbh. I would definitley put your foot down

OP posts:
TiredAlreadyOhDear · 02/06/2021 18:37

Yeah I won’t be getting it from them if they can’t guarantee it before 37 weeks so they have three weeks - ideally I wanted to collect on of before the 14th June so I had it a month before. It’s typical you spend a lot of time, effort and money getting things organised and then this! I told them today ‘approx early July’ wasn’t good enough and what could they do to get it to me sooner - they said they would get back to me ASAP - so I’m going to phone tomorrow and say I need to know for sure if you can get me it in time for 37 weeks or I want my money back - it’s just not left a lot of time to order anything else as the order times are usually 6 weeks - so I think we’ll have to look second hand xx

PeanutButterFalcon · 02/06/2021 18:40

@TiredAlreadyOhDear when we ordered our egg we were warned it wouldn’t be available until the end of June, which was a week or so before you from memory.

They’ve emailed to say some but not all of it is in and I’ve choose to wait until it’s all available but maybe they have similar with yours? Something you could ask tomorrow as it may be the bits you need can come sooner

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 02/06/2021 18:49

@PeanutButterFalcon yeah I remember you saying yours had a longer lead time
than mine. That’s what I’m going to ask tomorrow - if we can get the car seat and isofix base that’s at least something. I could be panicking over nothing the baby could be 2 weeks late anyway! It’s more the fact I’ve had to chase them up on it - surely if they got the delay notification they should have called the people impacted to let them know instead of just leaving it. Xx

Lullabymummy17 · 02/06/2021 18:59

Just got back from hospital and they're going to induce me on Monday 😬 am really dreading the induction process as I was induced with my DD and the drip was horrendous 😫 So it's June babies for me now!

Warrickdaviesasplates · 02/06/2021 19:20

Wow @Lullabymummy17 that's so soon! Are you mostly ready (with all the stuff, I imagine emotionally ready is a whole different thing) for the babies?

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 02/06/2021 19:31

Ah @Lullabymummy17 how exciting! How many weeks will you be?

OP posts:
Lullabymummy17 · 02/06/2021 19:49

@Warrickdaviesasplates yes luckily as soon as I found out we were having twins we got everything in place and bought what was needed. I'm sure I've probably forgot something but I'm not stressing now. Amazon prime to the rescue if needed. I thought I was emotionally ready... I'm nervous and worried about what's going to happen to the babies after they're delivered.

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE I'll be 35+3 on Monday so I think that's pretty standard for twins. I've taken every month as a win and my consultant wanted me to get to 34... so I've done that and a bit more!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 02/06/2021 19:50

Im 35+3 today Shock and im so not ready!

OP posts:
Lullabymummy17 · 02/06/2021 19:54

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE I don't think we ever feel ready but if baby came tomorrow I'm sure you would manage perfectly 😊

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 02/06/2021 19:58

I just need to get tidy but there are too many people making mess here lol

OP posts:
TiredAlreadyOhDear · 02/06/2021 20:28

@Lullabymummy17 aarghhh so exciting! Please make sure you keep us in the loop on how it goes xx

Lullabymummy17 · 02/06/2021 20:33

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE once you tidy it will be a mess again... dont bother Grin

@TiredAlreadyOhDear I will do Smile

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 02/06/2021 20:35

Just sat in the hospital waiting room about to have my 32 week scan to check the placenta.

Even though baby is kicking up a storm I'm so nervous. Does anyone else get so worked up about scans or am I just unable to cope with life?

Tvscreen · 03/06/2021 09:48

@Lullabymummy17 good luck today!!

@Warrickdaviesasplates I get nervous too but I try and distract myself by looking at funny dog/cat videos on Instagram. Seems to work Grin good luck with your scan!

Tvscreen · 03/06/2021 09:48

Ps fact that baby is kicking up a storm is a good sign!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 03/06/2021 10:11

Good luck with your scan @Warrickdaviesasplates

Fartymcfart · 03/06/2021 10:17

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 03/06/2021 10:27

Good luck @Fartymcfart, i have my 36 week consultant app next week 🤞 i get a scan
