Good luck for your section today @planbea

notlongnow0521 · 07/05/2021 11:33

Hey can I join? Am due 16th May with a little girl!
I had a rough nights last night - what I think was Braxton Hicks (no rhyme or reason to them) and very sick. Tummy is still hard today and breathing is labored.. mind I'm not helping things as I've got it in my head I'll end up delivering at home so the bathroom is getting a full service! We just moved house a month ago and have neglected the 70s hit bathroom!
I'm worried I'm going into labour and not realising - I've one DS whose 6 so it's been a while! Mind with him I couldn't stop cleaning either!

OldFirstTimeMum · 07/05/2021 11:53

Welcome @notlongnow0521 sorry you had a bad night.
Good luck for your section today @PlanBea! Flowers

AyyX · 07/05/2021 12:29

Currently dying in bed with contractions 😩
Been having contractions all night so couldn’t sleep properly. Went into hospital this morning and I’m still 3cm but she said this time cervix is thin and she thinks he’ll come soon. Should be taking walks but I’m in pain and I feel so tired.
Had 3 contractions in 10mins early this morning and throughout the night but still not dilating a lot 😥. It’s starting to slow down now but it’s quite intense and painful 😣

Good luck for today @PlanBea Flowers

lucymagoo · 07/05/2021 12:57

@AyyX you're doing so well! That's such great progress, won't be long now Star

CarryOnParenting · 07/05/2021 15:24

@AyyX thinking of you! Painful I know but exciting!! Xx

thefishthatcouldwish · 07/05/2021 15:34

So many babies on their way. 🤩

@AyyX hope you are doing ok just keep going. You can do it.

Am 37 weeks tomorrow and fed up now of waddling and being tired after walking the dog oh and the constant needing a wee.

Moorelewis · 07/05/2021 15:37

@AyyX good luck! Early labour is a nightmare isn't it? Hope things ramp up soon and baby makes his entrance!

LittleTiger007 · 07/05/2021 15:49

Thinking of you @AyyX! Sending a hand hold. Flowers you are doing so well!

Thank you ladies ❤️

Elles87 · 07/05/2021 20:42

Booked in for a c-section on the 13th due to previous history. So nervous...not for the section itself but more about the stay at the hospital afterwards. Can't wait to meet my daughter. It's been a long time coming....(15 years after a stillbirth, 5 years after brain tumour removal followed by a MMC) would appreciate good thoughts and prayers from you. Xx

CLeighannHxo · 07/05/2021 21:06

Hey Ladies, not read this thread in a few days, congratulations to the ladies who's had their babies and hope all is well!
I went for my growth scan yesterday and he has really shot up! Feeling so happy and relieved that he has put some weight on. They said they are not going to induce me now and leave me to go naturally 😁 they also said that he is 4/5 engaged, eeeekk!!

@Elles87 awww I hope all goes well for you! Not long and you get to meet your daughter 😁

Theidealcat · 07/05/2021 21:26

Is anyone scared to give birth? I had a hard time the first time round and now I’m nearing the end I can’t help but just feel extremely nervous!

thefishthatcouldwish · 07/05/2021 21:46

@theidealcat

Yes am a bit scared but mainly because for me as a first timer I am apprehensive.

If I can I want to avoid general hospital and just be at birth centre as it was clinical the whole IVF process.

LittleTiger007 · 07/05/2021 22:05

Welcome @Elles87. Definitely will be praying that your birth and afterwards goes smoothly for you. You have been through so much, you deserve your happy ‘ending’ to this chapter. Hopefully the beginnings of better times as a family with your little one.Flowers
Congratulations on the growth spurt your little man has made @CLeighannHxo
I’m trying not to focus on the nerves... but to keep busy. It’s not always easy. Nerves and excitement combined!

@OldFirstTimeMum due the 15th too, 1 weeks to go.

Wasn't feeling nervous at all until my dad said yesturday less than 2 weeks and it will probably be all over. My heart sank and have been anxious ever since. My first birth was very easy so ive not been giving this 2nd one much thought and suddenly feeling very scared lol.

Good luck everyone, cant wait to hear about all these beautiful babies being born.

PlanBea · 08/05/2021 01:34

Hi all, baby PlanBea arrived on 7th from the planned section as he didn't decide to do a last minute flip. He's 8lb10oz of pure gorgeousness!

After all my worry the planned section was great. The team were fantastic. All the rooms are private en suite rooms here so DH is able to stay until home time, which had been a god send as breastfeeding has been a bit of a challenge due to a tongue tie, and 12 hours later I'm still on the catheter as my legs aren't behaving properly. Other than that, it doesn't feel real that I'm finally a mum after years of TTC and what feels like years of pregnancy 😂

notlongnow0521 · 08/05/2021 06:55

Congratulations @PlanBea Smile Thanks such lovely news! Xx

AyyX · 08/05/2021 07:47

Had my baby last night 07/05 at 11:30pm weighing 3.61kg (7.95lbs according to google)
Currently in hospital they will hopefully discharge me this morning. Baby is in NICU for monitoring as his breathing is a bit fast. Hopefully he gets to go home with us too Smile

Also congrats @PlanBea, so glad you had a good planned section Flowers hope you and baby are doing well x

LittleTiger007 · 08/05/2021 07:50

Congratulations @PlanBea!! I’m so thrilled for you. Flowers
I’ve had years of infertility and mcs too and the joy of finally holding your baby must be beyond words! I hope your legs and everything else behave themselves and you are soon up on your feet. I’m so glad to hear that your husband could stay so long too!
