Made a new thread for us as we were coming to the end of the previous one!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MinnieWebs · 21/03/2021 20:36

Thanks for the new thread @drumst1ck

blodyn91 · 21/03/2021 20:52

thanks @drumst1ck

drumst1ck · 21/03/2021 20:59

No worries Smile

I hit full panic nesting this weekend! I cried over some dust at 1 in the morning, and I am NOT very tidy usually...good old hormones! 37 weeks exactly today so on the final countdown now.

OP posts:
Mother2princess · 21/03/2021 21:02

I'm due may 12th but being induced 28th April

blodyn91 · 21/03/2021 21:11

@drumst1ck I've been painting the nursery ☺️ we moved house 4 weeks ago. I've managed a week of no crying though 💪💪🤣🤣 5 days left at work 👌

clb8921 · 21/03/2021 22:12

Thanks for the new thread! The one where the babies appear 😅

LifeIsBusy · 21/03/2021 22:15

4 weeks to go and sitting itching my belly like mad.

bunhead34 · 21/03/2021 22:33

Thanks for the new thread!
I'm 37+5 and excited but anxious!
Just getting into hyponobirthing!

Bojingle · 21/03/2021 23:08

Ive finally finished work on Friday. Had a few lose ends to tie up today but I am done, done, done. Just in time really, I am being induced in less than a week Shock

Bojingle · 21/03/2021 23:11

Ew, loose ends not lose

I havent caught up, are there any babies on the thread yet?

Ttwinksy · 22/03/2021 06:20

37.5 weeks now, and we've still got a house of DIY work going on. Needless to say its STRESSING me out now! Just hope baby hangs on in there for a few more weeks so we can finish and get cleaned / sorted properly.
...and am eagerly waiting for the fabled burst of energy towards the end. Am just exhausted at the moment!!
How's everyone else feeling?

LuckyFlash · 22/03/2021 08:20

I’m also just feeling tired! Finished work and I was hoping nesting mode would kick in as the flat really needs a tidy but I just can’t be bothered! 37+2 and I’ve been getting a lot of pain in my belly and back in the last few days. Not sure if it’s a sign my body is getting itself ready or just another rubbish pregnancy symptom that means nothing

Wavesandsmilesencore · 22/03/2021 08:26

36+6 here and I’ve also become a bit manic on cleaning (bleaching window frames was the latest “have to do” 🤔)
To follow on a question/suggestion on last thread, well I’ve done hypnobirthing before but it was alongside water birth and I knew I had the option of gas and air, plus was mask free! I’m going back through this now in the hope it’s all enough! No TENS machines here and home births aren’t really supported at all.

On the positive side, my consultant prescribed me raspberry leaf tea so I’m off to collect that later this morning. I also had an amazing sleep last night - I think the baby has dropped quite significantly as no heartburn either 😄

Mumto3andexpectingagain · 22/03/2021 08:40

That's good @Wavesandsmilesencore, I'm 36+3 today and am trying to keep positive, I'm so ready to have the baby now (preaching to the choir - I know!) but dont seem to be having labour-esque symptoms. Good or bad thing I dont know but could murder a slice of chocolate cake

DaphneBridgerton · 22/03/2021 08:46

Can I join? I'm 35+5 and I'm already feeling anxious that she could arrive any minute now, although I know that's not likely to be the case!

I have completed my hypnobirthing course and am trying to fall asleep listening to the audios in the hope that my subconscious will remember it all when the time comes!

Just bought myself some raspberry leaf tea! Apparently it's meant to make labour easier? But I heard you have to drink 3-4 cups a day?! Has your consultant told you how much you should be drinking @Wavesandsmilesencore?

Good luck everyone!

Mumto3andexpectingagain · 22/03/2021 09:31

Is it your first @DaphneBridgerton? If I'm not mistaken, you might wanna check with your consultant/midwife before taking the tea. Just in case although I cant remember why I think that, I must've read something somewhere. Anyone else concur or am I just making this up?

CheeseandWine91 · 22/03/2021 09:45

I'm 35 weeks tomorrow! Due end of April but could be sooner if he decides to show his face earlier (wishful thinking!!)

We are in the process of moving into my MIL's while we wait for our new house to complete - my sale is due to complete the week I'm due and we didn't fancy moving in that week!!

Nesting like crazy already and already started on the raspberry leaf tea Grin @DaphneBridgerton - my hypnobirthing coach said x1 a day from 34 weeks is ideal and then you slowly increase so you end up on 3-4 a day in your final week!

BaaHumbugg · 22/03/2021 10:05

Good luck flappity how exciting!

I don't want to give birth again can I just not do it, I'm getting used to pregnancy now so might as well keep her in there Grin

No time for nesting here as got so much work to do before I finish. It seems like time is speeding up now where it was going so slow before! Only 35 weeks here so a way behind most of you guys.

DaphneBridgerton · 22/03/2021 10:08

@Mumto3andexpectingagain oooh okay... Yes it is my first! I am seeing my midwife tomorrow so I will check with her! Thank you

TheViewOutsideMyWindow · 22/03/2021 11:01

Hi ladies, thanks for the new thread. 35wks. Should be getting an ELCS date in 2.5wks time. Apparently it's likely to be booked in for 39wks. Cannot wait to get this baby out of me! Still working and will be until the end of wk 37 so hoping to have a week off (albeit with my 3yo, so not really "off"!) before baby arrives.

tinatsarina · 22/03/2021 11:08

So 37+6 today and I deep cleaned the living room including pulling the sofa out and hoovering and mopping under it, got the kitchen chores done to fingers crossed nesting is taking over and this one will show up soon.

1sttimemumtobe2021 · 22/03/2021 11:13

Thanks for the new thread and good luck @flappityflippers1.

I was one of those on the previous thread that had a growth scan. The baby is just over the 10th percentile and until recently had been measuring average (but how good is a tape measure!?), the scan states that baby is currently 5lb5. I don't know why but I'd expected him to be bigger on the scan so was a little in shock (im apprehensive as his growth has stalled). I'm naturally petite so almost blamed myself a little, but now with a few days to reflect, I'm happy, as he's in range and the placenta and fluid were monitored as being absolutely fine.

My first day of mat leave and I'm in bed still! Sounds like a lot of you (I'm 37+1) with the cramps and back ache. It was quite intense so I ended up being sick and my headache of yday has not worn off. At least I know I took mat leave at the right time!

Flyingfrogspawn · 22/03/2021 12:06

Hey everyone! Thanks for the new thread!

Feeling fed up today. Hopefully just a funk and i will get out of it soon.

@1sttimemumtobe2021 glad to hear everything was alright with your growth scan! Sorry to hear on your first day of maternity leave your not feeling to great. Hopefully it gets better.

tinatsarina · 22/03/2021 14:51

@1sttimemumtobe2021 glad to hear growth scan was ok, keep an eye on your headache as if it doesn't go away phone your midwife as it could be a symptom of pre eclampsia

1sttimemumtobe2021 · 22/03/2021 15:01

Thank you @Flyingfrogspawn and @tinatsarina , and also for the heads up about that symptom. X
