Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Wish I could offer words on induction but never experienced first went naturally, although so long ago (12 years) I cant remember alot, 2nd was elcs.
@LuckyFlash it's not the most fun is it, but honestly I can't remember being it being this painful last time, I wonder if it's a weight thing, last pregnancy I put on like 3 stone (all birthday cake related) where as this time I can't seem to hold onto weight. So less space for baby?
@rainbow95 I miss pre covid pregnancy, I miss being able to go out and get a pregnancy treatment or hair done or lunch lol. I woke up very cleaning orientated today, been scrubbing the skirting boards in bathrooms?!?!? Upstairs is cleaned and organised downstairs to do but having an early lunch break. We're cheating and getting hello fresh meals in so no batch cooking, mainly cause dh is fussy as hell lol xx

rainbow95 · 25/03/2021 12:12

@LuckygoLucy I miss going out too. I feel like I've been hiding away during the whole of my third trimester and it's a shame I haven't been able to show off my bump! It sounds like you've had a busy morning! I have been painting the garden fence! Need to take things easier I think but I struggle to just sit around some days and like to keep busy.

LuckygoLucy · 25/03/2021 12:17

@rainbow95 literally like 5 people even know about my pregnancy because of lockdowns etc. Just trying to convince my toddler it's quiet time now, really isn't working and I do need to go clean the kitchen gah!! Painting a fence I'm not sure I could pull that off, impressive lol xx

Hi all!

Thanks for tagging me in the new thread!

Baby Ollie was born on Monday, via a magical planned section at 4.21pm weighing 5lb 1oz! Hearing that first cry and seeing him immediately was absolutely magical. we also managed a few amazing breastfeeds while in recovery and for the first day before moving to our pumping plan - it was the most amazing experience and the 4 of us are all home together now. My eldest is besotted with his baby brother and keeps reading him stories ❤️

Wishing everyone the very best of luck and I will keep checking in 😁❤️❤️

Congratulations @Flappityflippers1 , so beautiful!

I hope it's okay I join? I'm 35 weeks, due on the 26th April. Working until the 23rd April so hoping he doesn't come early! I had a midwife appointment today but she didn't measure me, so I'm not sure how to know what percentile etc I am on!

MinnieWebs · 25/03/2021 16:02

clb8921 · 25/03/2021 16:16

1sttimemumtobe2021 · 25/03/2021 16:35

Congrats @Flappityflippers1 , such a little beauty!

LifeIsBusy · 25/03/2021 16:48

@1sttimemumtobe2021 I just weighed myself too as a seen a thred about weight gain in pregnancy and was curious. I'm currently 50lbs heavier and im pretty sure all 50 are currently hiding in my bump region.

1sttimemumtobe2021 · 25/03/2021 17:09

@LifeIsBusy I saw that thread too! It seems everyone is quite different.

I don't think this thread has spoken about breastfeeding/formula feeding much and I quite like that as it's a controversial topic and it's each to their own. However I've found quite a good few videos on breast pumps on YouTube if anyone is trying to explore all options like I am. I feel like feeding and sleeping are the two biggest areas where there is a ton of information but perhaps a little too much as I do feel a bit lost with it all!

Mumto3andexpectingagain · 25/03/2021 18:34

@Flappityflippers1 congratulations, first baby of the thread and he's beautiful

Wavesandsmilesencore · 25/03/2021 19:02

Congratulations @Flappityflippers1, he is beautiful. It’s great that you are home already and I hope enjoying those beautiful newborn moments.

Inkpaperstars · 25/03/2021 19:30

@Flappityflippers1

Just seen the pic, he is soooo beautiful. What a lovely expression too. He looks very cosy there! I am glad the elcs went as hoped.

TheViewOutsideMyWindow · 25/03/2021 19:37

Started expressing a bit of colostrum today, on advice of my midwife as I'm having an ELCS. Never managed to get anything pre-birth with my first baby, but managed it today! Probably helps that I breastfed my first so have more of an idea of what to do. One syringe in the freezer ready to go, hopefully will add to that with an additional one a day until d-day in 3-4 wks time.

Flappityflippers1 · 25/03/2021 19:55

Thanks all! ❤️

I’m exclusively pumping this time so if anyone has any questions I’m more than happy to try and help. I have the spectra S1 pump. Did also buy a bellababy as it has rave reviews, but not used it yet. Absolutely love the spectra though. I pump with pumping bras (also spectra) and currently doing 8 times a day, around 20 mins both boobs and finding it more manageable than expected. In a few weeks I’ll drop down to 6 pumps a day.

Also used a bit of formula to top up with him being so tiny but he’s been fully breastmilk for the last day or two. He also had a few direct feeds on the first day so bit of an all rounder!

BaaHumbugg · 25/03/2021 20:14

@flappityflippers1 congrats he is lovely! Does it feel less of a shock than it did with your first? GrinFlowers
