Hi Ladies, loving that we have e Pugh success stories and chat for part 5!

@mlax I mean I guess you could put them in your bra but I'd worry about ajusting them all the time which would rub the nipples and breasts so I suppose my concern is that is 'stimulation'. My midwives at the hospital said leave them completely alone, don't put any thing on them including cream/gel ect. Just bra up and wait a few days, don't wash them either, no touching at all. And mine went down so fast, considering I've breast fed two babies before it definitely worked

Thankyou @ChampooPapi I will leave them! I've taken paracetomol all day yesterday and that seems to have helped relieved ALOT of pain. Plus I actually managed a full 4hr sleep last night without them waking me up in pain haha!

Hope your swelling has gone down a bit @Leok83, I had awful feet and ankles after my section whilst in hospital. They were so painful too!!

@SunnySideUp2020 not long for you either- thats really great news about your other half being off for so long, you will be in your own little baby bubble! 💞

@Whiffle77 the swellings gone down a bit thank god as I've been putting my feet up a lot..feel so lazy tho!! Still have really sore nerve pain in my left ankle and toe abs shooting pain in my right heel but 🤞these will sort themselves out after the birth (which hopefully will be sooner rather than later now!). How are you going with the feeding? Did you start with the combi feeding yet?

@Whiffle77 Still here, still pregnant Had a sweep on Sunday and things ramped up a bit, but nothing regular yet.

Today is the first anniversary of my twins' due date. I've kind of been expecting her to arrive today, seeing as she was sent by them. I'm hoping I can get another sweep today and we might have her out by midnight.

Thats good to hear @Leok83, you should be keeping your feet up regardless!! Dont feel guilty for being lazy, you deserve it at this point. Out of nowhere he has suddenly got loads better at feeding, our average feed length has dropped from 30 mins to 15 mins! So we haven't done much combi feeding as it hasn't been as hard - he has probably had one formula feed every few days, which he has been fine on. We might start increasing that as lockdown eases as I have to use nipple shields to feed and I don't know how I would use those easily in public! More than anything I want to make sure he keeps taking a bottle as I am long overdue a day/night out with the girls!! Wd had so many problems with feeding i cant believe i have made it so long breastfed to be honest are you aiming to try BF and see what happens?

@Whiffle77 oh that's really good! Sounds like things are much better now for you! I plan on BF but both myself and DH keen for him to be able to feed too so I'll prob try and pump if I can for a bit on top but if I'm finding it too much I'll prob try combi feeding..I'm just so aware that I'll be back to work in sept so want to make sure he's well used to formula by then.

@Ejb86 I hope things moved along for you today..would be really special for her to be born today. xx

@Ejb86 fingers crossed it works! This baby sounds way too comfortable.

So ladies it's all kicked off for me this morning!! Waters broke at 6.30 but no contractions so have been admitted and will wait it out over the next 24 hours and then if no sign of labour by tomorrow am they'll be inducing me!! So bored already walking the halls of mat ward and sitting on the ball, especially as DH can't be here!!

Did you have BH or any period pain before the waters broke?

Thanks @SunnySideUp2020!! Ya I've been getting BH with pains for a good few weeks so didn't think much of it. Had accupuncture last week and lost mucus plug the next day. Had accupuncture again yesterday and waters went this morning so maybe that's what's done it😄

Ah @Leok83 how exciting! I've just popped back on here for the first time in ages (ongoing dog saga not getting any better unfortunately ☹️ my mum has offered to look after her but we're trying everything we can to keep her at home for now at least until it's closer to baby arriving) and can't believe you are in labour! It now doesn't seem 2 minutes since you got that positive test! Hope all goes smoothly for you - keep us posted I'll be thinking about you!

@Leok83 I'm also pleased to hear about acupuncture getting things going. I've just started going back again because I'm struggle with my sacroiliac joint- some days it's really bloomin painful and physio said acupuncture might help so I was straight by on it. My acupuncturist said closer to the time it can support getting everything primed and ready so baby arrives on time! Sounds like it's done the trick for you so I will definitely be giving it a whirl when the time comes.

Hope everyone else is doing ok! I've just submitted my maternity leave forms at work and only have 12 weeks to go 😱 makes it all feel very real now!

I was fine pumping @leok83 when baby was smaller and slept more, and when hubby was off work - just steadily got a bit harder and became another chore I couldn't be doing with. If you do pump I recommend the bellababy double pump on amazon, its so cheap and worked really well for me. You can buy pumping bras so you can be hands free but I just cut two holes in a sports bra! It was an incredibly sexy look! Def made things easier though

12 weeks will fly by @Fizzl! Not long at all. Sorry to hear about your doggie, its so hard as they are such a huge part of your family. Hope you find a solution that works for you all

Thanks ladies!! So the labour was definitely not perfect but little man is here! 7lb 5 and gorgeous!

Labour story is a bit brutal! I walked the corridors and sat on the ball all day yesterday but never went into established labour. At 4 am they decided to induce me as waters had gone nearly 24 hours and infection risk would increase. Was given IV antibiotics and then the prostin gel. They told me would be about 6 hours and they'd recheck cervix but literally 2 mins later I had the most severe contractions with no break between them, they had to give me reversal for it but only worked for 20 mins so endured the most severe labour vomiting away on gas/air and pethidine from 4-15-10.30 when I got the magic epidural which was just the most amazing thing ever!! Within 10
mins I was human again!! But after a couple of hours I had been dilating well but baby's HR started to increase and movements slowed so they decided section was safest. It all happened so fast then and he was born by section at 1pm today. He was floppy and unresponsive when he came out and he was taken straight away for them to work on him, he was put on cpap and his temp was high so started on iv antibiotics. I was so emotional and petrified. He's inSCBU now and doing great, off oxygen so only getting iv abs now and hopefully he'll be out with me tomorrow. Still haven't got to hold him but they're taking me over now in an hour or so and I can't wait. So dramatic day but all's ended well ☺️☺️

I am so sorry you had to go through this. Must have been extremely stressful... but you did it 💪💪 (i am still in shock just from reading about it tbh)
