So this may be a little early to even start a thread. I got a positive digital test at 3 weeks 5 days. Today I am 4 weeks. From the date of my last period (11th January), my due date would be 18th October 2021 I know it's very early days and anything (literally) can happen but I was hoping to find like minded people!

When do people generally contact their GP?

Hi girlies
Hope you don’t mind if I join in
I’m 14.5 weeks and due 17th august with my first!
Very excited but also still very much suffering with nausea and sickness
Also stomach ache on a night google says this could be stretching etc
Anyone else getting this xx

You might be better asking on the August 2021 thread @caz1226 as you'll have people the same gestation as you to compare notes with....I remember the stretching down the sides at about that many weeks but the stomach aches I had were, unfortunately, indigestion ☹️ it was a right nuisance!

Seems like everyone is coming along nicely. I'm feeling quite anxious generally. This long wait with nothing happening is so bizarre. I've booked an early, private scan to see you if that can reassure me a bit and put my mind at rest.

Still getting the runaround from the doctor's but I registered through the hospital and now have my midwife appointments and official dating scan booked in which is exciting.

Not many symptoms here which is worrying me a little. That said my boobs have exploded already size-wise so there's that. And they hurt a bit. No sickness or anything else though yet.

I don’t have any sickness and nausea either @OnceUponAThread - I think I’ll feel more at ease once I do 🤞🏻

It is a weird time - just watching and waiting and hoping it’s all going to be ok!

I also don't have any symptoms. I sometimes feel "sick" but think it's psychological not physical because I don't get the urge / feeling. I got my booking in appointment through the post today for the 19th March. I've got a private scan booked in for 12th March so hoping I should get some more reassurance then. I'm trying to read online about what's safe / what's not safe but there seems to be an endless list! Baths? No Bath bombs definetly no no. I google almost every time I do something!

Hi everyone is it ok to join the chat. I am due somewhere around the 16th October. I am so nervous and feeling really anxious so it's nice to talk on here and see how everyone is doing Smile this will be my 2nd child and I have also had a loss to (hence the anxiety)

Dr Google is the worst! Honestly if the NHS doesn't say to avoid it, you can do it sensibly. I really recommend Expecting Better for anyone who worries about things, it really reassured me first time round.
With bath bombs the only reason I can think why you wouldn't is if they contain any essential oils that aren't recommended during pregnancy. Baths are fine as long as you don't mess up your blood pressure by having them too hot!

Spent the morning watching Youtube videos with the search of 5+5 disappearing symptoms and found it reassuring that many of the posters then go onto have a normal pregnancy.

I feel lucky that i'm not feeling sick and my boobs are still slightly tender- just not as much.
I am going to try and relax - there is nothing i can do either way. I have my midwife phone appointment on the 12th March and will be 8 weeks 3 days so less than 4 weeks to the 12 week scan hopefully.

I am really hoping i get the same midwife as last time as she was lovely and i think she will understand my anxiety.

Hope everyone is doing okay! Does anyone have yellow cm when they wipe? Only sometimes after I pee I’m getting yellow stained tissue paper, making me slightly scared. Thanks.

@mabelelsie yes I am a little bit, just a bit of discharge (sorry TMI). Not every time but I don't think it's anything to worry about? I have all the usual symptoms - sickness, exhaustion, sore boobs (well nipples) etc etc.

mabelelsie · 21/02/2021 15:32

Thank you @Mumnttc yeah, I’m only getting it sometimes and when I wipe hard (sorry!) I’m just over analysing everything and then panicking! I don’t have that many symptoms, boobs are big but not sore, period like cramps on and off and sometimes I’m off food but feeling pretty good otherwise. How far along are you?

Report
Mumnttc · 21/02/2021 15:51

@mabelelsie I'm 6+4 at the moment, you? I get up in the morning and feel sick and heave and I'm so tired. Is this your first baby?

I haven't had too many symptoms yet, boobs are tender and I've been having some cramps like period pains but that's all really. Not sure what's normal or not as this is our first!

Will be booking in midwife appointment next week so guess there's not loads I can do til then really....

@MeltingSnowflake yes I think I'd feel more reassured if I was. Took another pregnancy test today BlushBlushBlush. I guess just to make sure that it was still showing up positive.

It still said pregnant with 3+ weeks (that's as high as it goes. I think I'm actually 6 weeks 4 days), so I guess that's something. Still v. Unsettled though.

@OnceUponAThread we're the same gestation!

@pixiedust21 are you able to see your midwife next week? I've only just been able to refer myself to the midwife and probably won't hear much until nearly 12 weeks. With my son, I had my scan first at 12+6 and then my booking appointment after at 13+2 as they were so behind! So no idea if Covid will impact too this time! (my son was born 5 years ago nearly lol)

pixiedust21 · 21/02/2021 19:45

@Mumnttc I mean I'll be booking the appointment next week so not sure when it'll be! Spoke to gp last week as had to get advice on medication I'm on and she said it would be around 12 weeks.

A long wait til then!

I have been feeling so sick but also quite crampy which is freaking me out. I phoned my local maternity to try and get booked in as requested by the Drs and she was so rude and said call back in a few weeks.

Report
pixiedust21 · 21/02/2021 23:21

@rainbowsandfairydust I've read that cramps can be very normal in early pregnancy as your uterus is stretching and baby is getting nicely implanted. I know it's worrying though, I've been having some cramps too but trying not to stress. Easier said than done I guess.

It feels like a long wait til we will have any real info!

That's terrible that they were rude, it's not like everyone is told what to do or when to phone for an appointment.

I hope when you see the midwife they're much better!!

I'm 6 weeks today! I was awake most of the night with nausea but I don't have the urge to be sick, which I wish I did so I could clear it. I know this is only going to get worse but it feels awful already 🤣☹️ I have my booking in appointment at 9 weeks + 5 days ( 19th March ) which I'm going to book off work today. I really don't want to tell my employer yet so I'm hoping that there's no problems in booking the day off as holiday 🤞

Good morning :) I'm new here, with my 3rd baby due 29 October. I feel fine so far but really struggle to sleep at night. I tend to sleep for max 5 hours and wake up at 4am :( I work from the office everyday so if my sleep doesn't improve I think I might struggle to stay awake at work ... do you have any tips for a good night sleep?
I would love to mention you all by name but I don't think I will be able to but let me say CONGRATULATIONS AND HAVE A HAPPY HEALTHY PREGNANCY EVERYONE! We are very lucky to be here :)

Hi Cooper96! I won't be yelling at work for a while, too. When do you plan to tell your boss?

Hey guys. Hope everyone is doing ok. Exciting and anxious times!

I had a bit of a shock this weekend having had a week of abdominal pain only a couple of weeks after my "period". It got much worse and did a test to be sure which lit up straight away. Had to go in for a scan to rule out ectopic, but there was a little 6-7 week old bean in the right place flickering away. Just a ruptured cyst

I was trying to be conceiving thinking, only started trying 4 weeks ago and thought it would take forever as have kidney disease but it happened when I still taking the pill!!

Anyway excited for new adventures, having had a rubbish time 3 years ago with miscarriage and a divorce after trying and failing to conceive. Lovely new chap now is very calm and supportive.

Hope everyone is doing ok this week xSmile

Oh yes @cooper96 @Ola85 I am not sure about telling work as I work in a doctor's surgery and have health problems, wondering if need to let them know sooner due to covid

Legally you don't need to tell you employer until 15 weeks before your due date if that helps.
