So this may be a little early to even start a thread. I got a positive digital test at 3 weeks 5 days. Today I am 4 weeks. From the date of my last period (11th January), my due date would be 18th October 2021 I know it's very early days and anything (literally) can happen but I was hoping to find like minded people!

When do people generally contact their GP?

Congrats @Drumstick1223 that’s wonderful

Jl2020 · 14/03/2021 21:57

Aww congrats @MeltingSnowflake! X

jellybean13419 · 15/03/2021 08:04

@MeltingSnowflake congratulations 😊 such a relief knowing the little bean is ok 🥰 xxxx

Drumstick1223 · 15/03/2021 10:15

@MeltingSnowflake thank you, and congrats to you on your scan too x

mooloop · 15/03/2021 10:48

@MeltingSnowflake congratulations! How lovely 🥰

My sickness is getting worse by the day, work is such a struggle 🤢 if everything is OK at our early scan this Saturday we're going to tell our parents, I'm getting to the point where I need help walking our dog etc with the sickness being so bad Sad

Jl2020 · 15/03/2021 11:20

@mooloop I hope your sickness eases soon!

Have you spoke to a midwife or doctor about taking anything to help it? X

HappyVibesxo · 15/03/2021 11:25

@mooloop So sorry to hear you're struggling with sickness. I had it really badly from 7-10 weeks ish. The think that worked for me was Domperidone and I felt better almost immediately. Definitely recommend seeking advice from your GP. The Pregnancy Sickness Support website has some fantastic advice on there too. Hope you feel better soon.

mooloop · 15/03/2021 11:36

Thanks ladies.

I've not asked about medication because I can still keep food and drinks down except for first thing in the morning, so I thought it's not that bad compared to what some women have to put up with. Some days I'm no actually sick, just dry heaving over the loo 🤦🏼‍♀️ It's just so draining isn't it!

If it keeps getting worse I think I will have to ask for something Sad I really hope little bub is happy and healthy in there since I'm going through all this for him or her 😂

pixiedust21 · 15/03/2021 17:16

I'm finding that staying active/going for walks is helping with the sicky feeling but it's so random and hard to control.

Earlier today I felt sick even thinking about opening the fridge but knew I had to eat something (ended up having 2 apples and a slither of cheese!)

Fast forward to now and I'm starving and could eat the whole house!

Going to get some ritz crackers in and have those to snack on with fruit to keep eating little and often I think. X

Cpr12 · 15/03/2021 17:23

@pixiedust21 I had lost all my symptoms but they are back strong today and am so with you, the thought of opening the fridge makes me gag.

The only thing I can really eat is potatoes or take out which is an expensive hobby. But it is so reassuring to feel ill again.

Hopefully not too much longer until most of us feel better. I think the first time I enjoyed food last time round was week 15 though 🙈

pixiedust21 · 15/03/2021 17:43

@Cpr12 I know, all I can face is carbs haha :-/ last week think we had pizza and fish and chips for meals on two nights because anything else felt awful to me.

Looking forward to being able to eat a bit more like a normal person again.

MeltingSnowflake · 15/03/2021 18:29

@pixiedust21 omg pizza and fish & chips here too! And pasta 🙈 and crisps and fruit! I’m basically just a human dustbin at this point

pixiedust21 · 15/03/2021 18:34

@MeltingSnowflake haha yes!! Surprisingly I'm ok with fruit (and thank goodness so I don't develop scurvy or something Grin) but I'm finding vegetables difficult.... just the thought of any cooked veg is 😬 apart from potatoes obviously!

Cpr12 · 15/03/2021 19:32

@pixiedust21 @meltingsnowflake yes! Pizza, chippy, crisps, bread and fruit are all I have eaten haha! I have also managed raw carrots. But yes cooked veg does not appeal! So funny we all crave the same things in early pregnancy!

MeltingSnowflake · 15/03/2021 19:56

@Cpr12 Yes - fruit and raw carrot for me too! This is so weird 😂 I’m mad for pears and satsumas at the moment

pixiedust21 · 15/03/2021 20:16

@MeltingSnowflake @Cpr12 hmm raw carrot even still feels a bit risky for me Grin but yes it is funny how cravings are so similar!

HappyVibesxo · 15/03/2021 23:10

Ritz crackers, toast, chips, poppadoms. Anything remotely healthy makes me feel so sick! I'm vegan so used to eating loads of salad veg, cooked veg and tofu, quorn, all those things are now sooooo off limits! How can I be so ill and put on the pounds 🤣

Cpr12 · 16/03/2021 09:00

@happyvibesxo I am vegan too and have never eaten worse. So looking forward to enjoying food again 😂

Jl2020 · 16/03/2021 09:37

Morning everyone, hope your all ok? Iv woke up with a tiny bit of a sicky feeling today.. finally lol.
Is anyone else suffering with dry skin? I don't even know if that's a thing when you're pregnant but my face has got so dry and flakey suddenly and nothing seems to help at all! X

Kona84 · 16/03/2021 10:21

Not dry skin but a few spots I my hairline and behind my ears which are irritating.

Ola85 · 16/03/2021 11:01

I'm super nervous today as I have my first scan in the evening. Please keep your fingers crossed for me and my baby.

My nausea is on another level since yesterday, too. The taste in my mouth is just awful 😣

Drumstick1223 · 16/03/2021 11:03

Everything crossed for you @Ola85 , I always get nervous before scans too. Let us know how you get on 💕

Drumstick1223 · 16/03/2021 11:06

@Jl2020 pregnancy does weird things to our bodies. When I didn't know I was pregnant around 4/5 weeks my skin came over all acne like and I just couldn't keep on top of it, horrible big spots. This happened with my daughter so really the penny should have clocked.

It cleared up and I was getting comments on how nice my skin was a week later. Glowing. Again didn't click 🤣

Anyway, yes I've got some fry skin now, I don't get it as drinking lots of water, can't stomach coffee any more and eating healthy mostly. But yeah it feels like when I smile my face might crack 😩 hopefully someone will have a suggestion for us 💕

mooloop · 16/03/2021 11:18

Good luck with your scan @Ola85 🤞🏻🍀❤️

Ola85 · 16/03/2021 11:44

Thank you so much 😘

My skin is actually really good. I suffer from rosacea and it's calmed down since I got pregnant so I'm happy :) x
