So this may be a little early to even start a thread. I got a positive digital test at 3 weeks 5 days. Today I am 4 weeks. From the date of my last period (11th January), my due date would be 18th October 2021 I know it's very early days and anything (literally) can happen but I was hoping to find like minded people!

When do people generally contact their GP?

Hi everyone
Can I please join?

I'm 8+1 weeks with baby number 4, I have 2 girls 8 & 6 and a 4 year old boy already.

I have a private scan tomorrow and if all goes ok we are going to announce and tell the kids.

I'm due 22nd October which is my oldest girls birthday.

How's everybody feeling.
I have been very sick all day, constant nausea and just no energy.

Praying all goes ok tomorrow and looking forward to the next trimester xxx

mooloop · 13/03/2021 21:31

Thank you @mooloop I will definitely let you all know.

How are you? Xx

mooloop · 13/03/2021 22:13

@DJmum83 very nauseous and anxious to be honest, this is my first pregnancy 🙈 trying to take it one day at a time!

poodlepip · 13/03/2021 22:48

@Cpr12 this sounds devastating. Well done for holding it together.

I agree I think the 12 week tell doesn't necessarily have to be the norm and it's up to each woman. Especially with 7-8wk scans with heartbeats this is a milestone and many of us need and deserve support whatever happens.

@Garman sounds stressful, you said you weren't in the UK. Are things different there? Have you lived here before? Must be hard without the access to scans. I think EPU here at 6 weeks with bleeding and no pain they dont always scan and say retest in a week but I would have hoped they would be able to do a scan

poodlepip · 13/03/2021 22:50

Oh and I hope everyone has a happy mother's day tomorrow, and that all the little beans don't make everyone feel too sicky!

Garman · 13/03/2021 23:00

@poodlepip I haven't lived in the UK no, and I guess things are different here but I've only dealt with my local hospital epu so can't compare it with any others.

At the same time though I don't know that I'd want a scan right now anyway, had one at 6+4 last time and the heart stopped basically the day or two after but I didn't find out until mc started 4 weeks later, so sometimes I'm in no rush and other times I get impatient!

HappyVibesxo · 14/03/2021 06:16

Just quickly popping on for an update. All went well yesterday and still measuring on track for an EDD of October 4th so 11 weeks tomorrow. Good luck to everyone who's telling their families today!

Congrats to those who have had their scans 💗 lovely photos! Xx

mooloop · 14/03/2021 09:03

Awww @HappyVibesxo look at that little baby!!! Amazing, congratulations 🥰 hope you're feeling well.

I have my booking appt over the phone with the midwife in half an hour. Trying everything possible to settle the sickness beforehand 🤢

mooloop · 14/03/2021 10:31

Just had my booking appointment over the phone. Gosh that was a lot of questions! The midwife was lovely though and said if everything continues to plan I'm low risk and will be midwife led Smile

Have to go in on Tuesday for blood tests and have to take a wee sample with me! They have me down as 7+6 today on my notes according to LMP but I think I'm behind that as I ovulate quite late. EDD is down in my app as 25/10/2021 Smile❤️

Hope everybody is having a lovely Mother's Day! Thanks

Raggeo · 14/03/2021 11:00

@Garman It is so stressful, isn't it. It is a pity you have to wait to get things checked. I found it hard to stay positive, having also had MC in December, but there is always hope. Its easy to read that bleeding doesn't always mean miscarriage, and 1 MC doesn't mean it will happen again but it's a totally different thing to fully believe it. Will keep my fingers crossed for you. Have you had cramping? The EPU told me that if I continue to bleed like this with no cramping then not to worry.

Drumstick1223 · 14/03/2021 18:47

Hi, sorry if tmi.... ovulation style discharge is normal around this stage isn't it? Im 9 weeks. I'm having such a hard time remembering from my last pregnancy and it wasn't that long ago x

Mylovelyhorsee · 14/03/2021 19:04

@Drumstick1223

Hi yes it is. Increased discharge is called leukorrhea.

Drumstick1223 · 14/03/2021 19:14

@Mylovelyhorsee thank you. I even googled it but like o hear from others in same boat. I feel wet constantly and keep thinking it's blood and it's just the discharge. Such a panicker here.

Drumstick1223 · 14/03/2021 19:22

Had a private scan yesterday as I was a bit worried about the first one being two weeks behind, even though it matched when we dtd but not my lmp date. Two weeks growth in two weeks, so I'm very pleased. 9 weeks today ❤️

HappyVibesxo · 14/03/2021 19:30

@Drumstick1223 Great news!!! Huge congratulations xx

HappyVibesxo · 14/03/2021 19:31

For those of you sharing the good news with family today, how did you get on? x

Drumstick1223 · 14/03/2021 19:31

@HappyVibesxo thank you x

Jl2020 · 14/03/2021 19:45

Congratulations to those who have had scans, so lovely to see 💛 hope you're all doing ok today

jellybean13419 · 14/03/2021 20:19

@Drumstick1223 congratulations, that is an amazing little bean photo 😍 xxx

MeltingSnowflake · 14/03/2021 20:58

Hi ladies,

First scan today and all looking good!! I thought I was 7+4 but they revised to 7+2. It was lovely to see his/her little heart beating away 😊

I’m another one whose sickness had gone away so hopefully that might give some reassurance to anyone else worried about it.
