So this may be a little early to even start a thread. I got a positive digital test at 3 weeks 5 days. Today I am 4 weeks. From the date of my last period (11th January), my due date would be 18th October 2021 I know it's very early days and anything (literally) can happen but I was hoping to find like minded people!

When do people generally contact their GP?

Baby dates and how many foetuses I mean, not the dates and how many scans 😂

poodlepip · 11/03/2021 12:18

Oh yeah I told them straight away at booking about private scan. Think fairly standard these days!
I wouldnt have known re dates anyway as came off contraception no LMP.

Exciting hopefully soon we will start having 13 week scans! I am 10 weeks now according to last scan so keen to hear about the date.

Have bought loungewear ....at least covid makes that totally acceptable!

poodlepip · 11/03/2021 12:20

Oh and not sure if others will find this interesting but people talk about lockdown babies... Apparently the pregnancy and birth rates have fallen not gone up

Still absolutely wiped out - went for a rather windy walk, felt good while out and about, came home and fell asleep!!

Still not a fan of food or thinking about food, I haven't been sick but the thought of most things turns my stomach. Not feeling as bad today though.

Have stopped pressuring myself to eat and I just have what I fancy or can manage. Which right now is a slice of plain white toast and an apple. Wow.

I'm also finding my toilet habits have changed quite a lot this week Blush I'm going quite a few times a day and also generally feeling.... gassy. Sorry for TMI. Ah what a glamorous time this is!!

whitershadeofpale · 11/03/2021 15:26

@pixiedust21I think toiletry habits changing is normal. I've been much less than usual, but really gassy too, especially in the evenings for some reason!

I did some yoga today, I was doing it every day prior to getting pregnant but have been really nervous about what was ok in the first trimester. I've found a really nice series where you take it through week-by-week of your pregnancy, which is nice and gentle but feels better than sitting on the couch eating more gingernuts!

whitershadeofpale · 11/03/2021 15:27

@mooloop how are you getting on with the sickness bands?

mooloop · 11/03/2021 15:51

@whitershadeofpale they've not cured it, I definitely still feel sick and was worst this morning as usual, but I do think it's sort of taken the edge off a little bit Smile I'm gonna keep wearing them just in case!

Drumstick1223 · 11/03/2021 17:07

@whitershadeofpale I love the sound of doing some yoga during pregnancy, is it an app you've found? X

whitershadeofpale · 11/03/2021 17:12

@Drumstick1223 it’s all free on YouTube youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzC-74mmVINkGqRGVGYtZ_YFavjthOvzE

I usually do yoga with Adriene but the pregnancy ones are a bit uninspiring or designed for further on.

HappyVibesxo · 11/03/2021 17:27

Hello!
I've been reading through the thread for a while but thought it was probably time to come on and say hi Smile. I'm 10+3 today with DC3 so due on the 4th October. My DS is 4.5 and my DD is 2.5. Sadly like so many of you I also had a MC at 7ish weeks last October.
I really feel for those of you suffering with MS/Nausea. This pregnancy my sickness has been horrendous. Basically bed ridden! Cyclazine made it worse so went on Domperidone... Felt so much better!
Lovely to (virtually) meet you all! X

mooloop · 11/03/2021 17:38

Welcome @HappyVibesxo Smile you must be getting near to your 12 week scan then, exciting! I'm not due till the end of October so one of the further behind ones on this group 🙈

jellybean13419 · 11/03/2021 17:46

Hi @HappyVibesxo congratulations on your pregnancy and so sorry for your previous loss.
We are really close on dates! I'm 10+6 and EDD is the 1st Oct. When have you got your dating scan? Mine is 6 days time. Not that I'm counting down! Sorry the sickness has got you so badly xxxx

Ronnii · 11/03/2021 17:48

I'm due 25th so feel a bit behind at times too lol. Had my booking now and waiting for the date of 12 week scan in the post which I can't wait to find out when it is and start the countdown.

HappyVibesxo · 11/03/2021 17:50

Who knows when these babies will arrive! I could be 2 weeks late, you could be 2 weeks early and end up very close together Smile

Ronnii · 11/03/2021 17:50

@jellybean13419 nice just 6 days!

HappyVibesxo · 11/03/2021 17:52

@jellybean13419 Mine isn't until 13+2 but I had a private scan at 8+5 and have another one this Saturday. Predominantly because I'm also in the massive worrier group! But also because I'd like to get some recent photos to give to my Mum and MIL on Sunday- We haven't told anyone we're pregnant yet x

HappyVibesxo · 11/03/2021 17:54

Have you told your parents?! Anyone else waiting for Mother's Day?!
I'm not sure if/when to tell my children or to hold off.

jellybean13419 · 11/03/2021 17:59

This is true. This little babies will surprise us all on their arrivals no doubt!
Totally with you on the worrier club front @HappyVibesxo! Let us know how you get on at the weekend. Will be a lovely experience to share the scan photos on Mothers Day!

Ronnii · 11/03/2021 17:59

I won't tell my mum yet, I will wait for 12 week scan. Ive told my sisters and a friend cos I'm close to them and they knew a lot about my TTC journey.

Ronnii · 11/03/2021 18:01

Easter could also be a nice time to reveal it

jellybean13419 · 11/03/2021 18:05

Easter could be so cute. Especially if you already have children! We told our parents and my sister and her little family after our 8 week scan. But we aren't telling any other family or friends until after the first trimester 😊

firstimemumma29 · 11/03/2021 18:34

I've only told my best friend, and my husband told his dad but still haven't told my parents or my MIL yet. My sister in law had a miscarriage last October and my MIL has been really upset by it (understandably). We don't know my sister in laws TTC status and part of me feels so guilty that I'm pregnant and she isn't. I'm also really worried my mother in law won't be excited for us as she said the other day she's so desperate for my SIL to be pregnant as she wants it to badly. We didn't tell anyone we were TTC as didn't want any additional pressure and luckily we got pregnant first month but I just keep over thinking about whether or not she'll even be happy for us!

HappyVibesxo · 11/03/2021 18:50

@Ronnii @jellybean13419 Easter is a great idea!! Thanks! I think if all goes well, we'll tell them then. They will be SO excited!!!

@firstimemumma29 I'm sorry to hear about your SIL's MC. I hope she falls pregnant soon. Your MIL will be over the moon so please enjoy your moment. Hopefully your SIL will also be pregnant or fall pregnant soon. Congrats on falling first month!

firstimemumma29 · 11/03/2021 18:52

@HappyVibesxo thank you 🤗

rtz22 · 11/03/2021 19:32

Wow, 🥰talk about surreal experience having an early scan and seeing the little munchkin snuggled up with tiny heartbeat pumping away. Just had one this evening, it all feels so real now!
