So this may be a little early to even start a thread. I got a positive digital test at 3 weeks 5 days. Today I am 4 weeks. From the date of my last period (11th January), my due date would be 18th October 2021 I know it's very early days and anything (literally) can happen but I was hoping to find like minded people!

When do people generally contact their GP?

@Kona84 it's really difficult isn't it but symptoms do come and go, try not to worry too much. I know it's hard, especially when it sounds like you have had a previous loss. Hang in there.

@rtz22 hope you're ok. Anxieties are high in first trimester and lead up to scan. Glad you've found some of the chat here reassuring. Welcome and congrats on your pregnancy.

Ola85 · 04/03/2021 10:34

@rtz22 hello and welcome to the mad house :)

@Kona84 sending hugs!! Fingers crossed everything is fine and all that stress is unnecessary (but unavoidable 😞)
When is your scan? Sorry I can't remember?

My boobs grew again overnight but other that this i feel fine. Have some mild cramps every now and then. Very mild nausea if I don't eat on time. In previous pregnancies I was already hanging over the toilet at this point 🤷‍♀️

sierraleona123 · 04/03/2021 10:52

@rtz22 I'm running against the exact same dates as you! 7w 2d based on LMP however I do normally have a cycle length of 36 days so convinced I am more like 6 weeks.

I had a call with Midwife today and have booking appointment in for 17th March. Even that feels so long away!

zrus · 04/03/2021 10:53

Hi,
I'm currently 7 weeks pregnant and due the 20th of October.
On monday evening I found light pink blood in my knickers. It wasn't much but I was concerned at the colour of it and was still bleeding a little when I wiped.
I rang the hospital and the midwife said if I was still bleeding in the morning to ring my GP to get referred to EPU. I was but very little so I rang and have been referred for a scan but it's not until tuesday and it's worrying me like mad.
It turned to brown discharge by tuesday lunch time but it's nothing now. I'm getting some aches/cramps down below but not painful or out of the ordinary. I also still have headaches, sore boobs and tiredness.
I just wondered if anyone has experienced something similar and baby has been ok? I'm so worried/scared right now!
Thanks.

Kona84 · 04/03/2021 10:56

I don’t have a scan booked.
I have my midwife appointment on the 12th.

pixiedust21 · 04/03/2021 11:58

Now debating whether to book an early scan. I just don't feel pregnant. :(
I know a lot of women have felt the same so just trying to hold on. My boobs aren't even as sore.

It's so annoying having to wait, I wish I could tell myself without having a scan ha.

MF1981 · 04/03/2021 12:04

Hey guys can I join in? Maybe a little late to the party! I’m 7+5 weeks pregnant with twins following IVF treatment. Still struggling to get my head around it all after so long TTC. Anyone else know if they’re expecting twins yet?

pixiedust21 · 04/03/2021 12:10

@MF1981 twins wow!! That's amazing, must be a lot to take in but wonderful news!! :)

Don't think I am though twins runs in my husbands family so who knows LOL.

Ola85 · 04/03/2021 13:02

@MF1981 how lovely! Double congratulations 🥳 I haven't had my scan yet so who knows how many beans there is lol

Ola85 · 04/03/2021 13:03

@pixiedust21 how many weeks are you? Would the bean be visible on the scan if you had one? Are they expensive in your area? X

Jl2020 · 04/03/2021 13:15

@MF1981 that's amazing you're having twins! One of my friends has just found out she is also expecting twins :)

Twins run in my family but I haven't had a scan yet so no idea if it's my turn for twins lol x

jellybean13419 · 04/03/2021 14:11

@MF1981 congratulations 💕 that is lovely news that you have little twins on the way! How are you feeling?
Definitely only one little bean over here, had an early scan at 7+6. They do run in my family though! X

pixiedust21 · 04/03/2021 14:41

@Ola85 I'm 8+2 so should be able to see it, a scan would be about £70. Really not sure. It might just be that I'm lucky but I read about so many losses/MMCs....

I'm not actively stressing all the time as I know that's not good either but it's at the back of my mind x

Ola85 · 04/03/2021 14:50

@pixiedust21 that's so hard :( obviously so many sad stories everywhere on the internet, they just keep appearing and I can't help but read...I am very tired of feeling so scared and stressed. For this very reason I booked an early scan but it's totally up to you if you want to have one, too xxx

Stella212 · 04/03/2021 15:07

Hi everyone :)

I hope you don't mind me jumping on. I'm 6+3 and due at the end of October. I was wondering if anyone else had recently lost their pregnancy symptoms? My boobs were so sore for a couple of weeks after my BFP but now they've completely gone back to normal. I was also beginning to feel sicky about a week ago but over the last couple of days it's just faded to nothing.

I conceived via IVF and this is my first ever pregnancy so I'm feeling super nervous and don't know what to expect. I've booked a private scan for tomorrow as I just can't wait until the viability scan at my clinic next week.

Did any of you who've recently had private scans notice a loss of symptoms beforehand? I want to be positive but I'm bracing for the worst! Xx

zrus · 04/03/2021 15:12

@pixiedust21 I know the feeling of seeing all these sad stories. No matter how positive I try to be, it's so hard not to think negatively about it! I hope the scan goes well and reassures you x

Jl2020 · 04/03/2021 15:59

Hi @Stella212 I'm in a similar situation to you I'm also 6+3 and I have no symptoms at all other than a missed period. Trying my best to stay positive but I had a mmc last year so now have constant anxiety. But I do think symptoms can and go especially in the first few weeks because of all the hormones so try not to stress too much!

Me and my partner have also broke up today so now I have extra stress I do not need and that's making me worry even more about the stress I'm putting on myself and my little bean :(

Stella212 · 04/03/2021 16:23

@Jl2020 omg I am so sorry to hear that you've broken up with your partner Sad how awfully stressful to be dealing with that on top of everything else. Try not to worry about how that might be affecting your bean. I'm an IVF-er and we are told again and again by consultants etc that stress does not cause a miscarriage. Unfortunately the causes of miscarriage are largely out of our control and it's going to happen it would've happened even if you were in marital bliss. Please don't put any pressure or blame on yourself for feeling stressed... lord knows we females do enough of that already!

Thank you for your reply, though. I don't suppose there's any real way of knowing until I've had the scan. I've heard so many women say that symptoms come and go so I'm crossing everything that tomorrow goes well. But if it doesn't then I'll dust myself off and go again. We keep stepping Thanks

Jl2020 · 04/03/2021 17:11

@Stella212 I'm sure we will be able to sort it out after a bit of time apart I think we both just need that right now, lockdown definitely has not helped lol. That is very reassuring to know stress doesn't cause miscarriage though so thankyou for that as I always thought it could and you're right us women do put more than enough stress on ourselves as it is.

I'm keeping everything crossed for you for your scan tomorrow and wishing you all the luck! please let us know how you get on :) Just got to keep positive and I'm sure everything will be fine 💛

Ronnii · 04/03/2021 18:24

Welcome to those new on the thread.

I see we have some twins in here now, I'm so curious! Are you showing yet? Could you tell by your symptoms?

I conceived on clomid which has 10% chance of twins, no scan for me yet tho 😋

2021WillBeGreat · 04/03/2021 21:57

@MF1981 congratulations on the twins! I keep joking about us finding out its twins, there is quite a family history. I have a scan on Saturday so we shall find out!

Today my morning sickness has moved into all days sickness which has been a nightmare. It's triggered by smells so it is making everything very difficult.

Ola85 · 04/03/2021 22:23

@2021WillBeGreat sorry about the sickness! Mine's not too bad but DH came out of the shower and I was gagging 🤯 he needs to stop using that shower gel immediately 🤣🤷‍♀️

MF1981 · 05/03/2021 06:57

Thanks for the congrats guys! @Ronnii my symptoms appeared quite early - nausea, tiredness and food preferences. Also my pregnancy test was super strong. The nausea now is almost constant 🤢 and I’m only 7+6. I wouldn’t say I’m showing yet but I wore jeans at the weekend and started to feel uncomfortable in them after a short while. I’ve not put any weight on yet though.

MeltingSnowflake · 05/03/2021 10:59

@MF1981 oh my goodness! Congratulations!! I just saw on the October 2021 Babies thread that a woman on there has just found out she’s carrying twins too, I think her username was milkshake something - so you might find her useful to buddy up with as you’re at exactly the same stage 😊

MeltingSnowflake · 05/03/2021 11:04

Hi & welcome @Stella212 - you’re not alone, lots of us have been complaining of few symptoms or disappearing symptoms. Other than sore boobs, which are definitely less sore some days, I don’t really feel pregnant. I was really stressing but now I’m just trying to be philosophical about it 🤷🏻‍♀️ All that stress is so knackering!
