Aww thanks girls! @Kirky658 good luck for yours, you'll see it'll be magical when you see it on the screen!

Bubbles1st · 02/02/2021 13:28

@Taybz such lovely news: it was amazing wasn't it! You're not far behind me then, edd 12th for me

CherylLW · 02/02/2021 14:06

@H3llie hey! I just saw you said you have your scan on the 18th! Me too!! I’ve been for an early scan and now I’m waiting for my nhs one on the 18th.. still so nerve wracking!

I’m 9+4 today 😊 x

Flower95 · 02/02/2021 14:45

I've just sat down on the sofa and couldn't keep my eyes open. Exhausted isn't the wordConfused I'm only 5+5. I think also a lot going on in background. My nana who I'm very close to has just been told she hasn't got long left. I had to tell her yesterday I was pregnant. Heart breaking.

Kirky658 · 02/02/2021 14:55

@flower95 oh hun, that is really sad, I'm so sorry. I'm glad you were able to tell her though. I am also exhausted. Usually nausea not so bad but today it's vile, hardly anything I eat is taking it off, bit headachy and just want to nap but work calls x

Hopefulmummie · 02/02/2021 17:46

Has anyone not got the flu Jan yet? I'm undecided whether to get it as I don't really get flus

Kirky658 · 02/02/2021 18:42

@hopefulmummie I've had the normal flu vaccination as I have asthma. Unless I am told I'm high risk I won't be having the covid vaccine.

unicornpower · 02/02/2021 19:14

@Hopefulmummie I have my flu jab tomorrow morning as the midwife told me to haha I dont really get flu but I thought I may as well.

I had some brown discharge today and rang the midwife who said it was totally normal after an internal ultrasound and not to worry unless it was heavy and red- i felt really silly but she was so lovely and said its my body and my baby so to call whenever x

primhutch · 02/02/2021 21:32

Hi ladies,

I was admitted to hospital at the weekend with hyperemesis gravidarum aka morning sickness from hell :(

Has anyone else been suffering badly? I'm 9+4 so hoping it will all be over in a few weeks x

Dakin · 02/02/2021 21:44

@primhutch I’m about 8 weeks 4 days and not suffering as badly to be admitted to hospital, but my daily post breakfast vomit has completely kicked up a notch to after most meals. Have had to stick to the most basic boring food and ginger ale. The mornings are a total write off for me and I’m shoving all my work into a Couple of hours in the afternoon when I feel semi normal. But genuinely feel so drained from the sicknes, the nausea, the tiredness and bloat/constipation. I desperately want to have a meal I enjoy just once.

primhutch · 02/02/2021 21:55

@Dakin I know exactly how you feel. Luckily I've only had it really really bad a couple of times where I couldn't keep a sip of water down etc but the normal everyday is a nightmare. My job is still face to face too so I'm trying my best to carry on as normal but it's so hard when every day you just feel like shit. I feel really guilty saying it but I hate being pregnant so far, feel like I don't recognise myself at all.

If you haven't already speak to dr and get anti sickness tablets, I've been taking them last 2 days and had my best days for a while. And a pregnant pharmacist suggested the wristbands and I'm not sure if it's psychological or not but they seemed to have helped xx

Flower95 · 02/02/2021 21:58

@Kirky658 thank you. Such a hard time with everything going on. I've not yet started to feel sick but I'm totally off my food. Sore boobs, tired and back ache is a big one for me ATM! Xxxx

CJ2021 · 02/02/2021 22:15

Hello! Hope you don’t mind me joining this thread. I’m 7+2. Have been having a bit of a rough time, my sickness started almost immediately and I’ve been so bad since New Years Eve 🤢🤢 Feeling pretty fed up and longing to feel like myself again. It’s made me not feel very excited about pregnancy which is a shame, as that’s definitely not how I felt while we were trying!! Work is such a struggle, I basically work and feel sick 24 hours a day. Anyway I’m thinking of booking a private scan as I really need need to lift my mood a bit, can anyone recommend when is best to do it? I says from 6 weeks but I’m wondering if I’m too early? Sending love to you all x

primhutch · 02/02/2021 22:34

@CJ2021 I went at 7+4 for my private scan and could see everything perfectly. They did warn me when I went in that it might have to be an internal scan if they couldn't pick it up externally. It's apparently easier to pick up externally if you're thinner and have a full bladder. Deffo worth doing, felt properly pregnant after seeing it with my own eyes! Xx

Bubbles1st · 02/02/2021 22:42

@CJ2021 I was 8 weeks for my scan, was internal but was amazing to see an actual baby and start believing this is happening after so long.

I can't really comment on the sickness, I've been very lucky so far to the point I was worried but scan confirmed all good, just very few symptoms.

I recommended earlier about trying pregnancy manifesting and positive mindset, look on YouTube some really relaxing videos to choose from.

ChrAmbaby · 02/02/2021 23:21

Hi Ladies - been off this group for a few days now but just catching up - looks like a number of you have already had your scans... must be such a relief to see a heartbeat and your baby... I have been lucky when it comes to morning sickness, nothing unbearable for me but I have been feeling bloated almost every meal even though I don't eat too much. Putting me off food completely but then I keep thinking my body needs it more than ever now so try and eat what I can to support baby's growth. Anyone else feeling this way?

ChrAmbaby · 02/02/2021 23:26

@Hopefulmummie same I don't get the jab every year and tbh quite reluctant to get it this year too but having to consider it due to the pregnancy.

  1. Will others on this group be getting the jab?

  2. do you take it every year?

  3. If you don't take it every year would you be taking it this year due to the pregnancy especially considering our babies will be born in Winter.

  4. which trimester will you be taking it in?

So confused about this?

AdventuresAwait · 03/02/2021 05:53

Hi @CJ2021, congratulations and sorry you're feeling so sick. I was 8 weeks for my scan. It was external and we could see & hear the heartbeat. It was really reassuring and I'm now much more relaxed and positive after going. Definitely a mood lifter for me!

@ChrAmbaby, I don't usually get the jab and am also very reluctant but am open to having it if it is really recommended. I really don't know! I will ask the midwife as I have my first appointment this week. Interested to hear what others think.

Lola0309 · 03/02/2021 09:41

Hey everyone, how are you doing? Sorry it’s been a couple of days. Does anyone know if there’s any Facebook groups set up for our due month that they’re on?
My nausea seems to be getting into a pattern now, it’s there all day but quite intense late afternoon and evening. I’m trying to eat small snacks to help, I’ve been eating watermelon as I’m always thirsty and find it quite refreshing. Also been trying salads as the whole ‘less smell from cold foods’ works for me. Much easier to eat and enjoy only problem is it’s started to give me an upset stomach.... can’t win!
Scan tomorrow when I should be 8 weeks, whole heap of emotions now. Starting to feel so excited yet apprehensive.
I can read that someone is talking about jabs but can’t find top of thread. Are you referring to flu or COVID? I know I’ve read flu should be fine but not COVID one at present. X

Jay3004 · 03/02/2021 10:11

@ChrAmbaby I got my flu jab in October so I’m glad I don’t have to make a decision about it. I pay for mine every year now as I’m a nightmare patient when I get ill and had flu quite frequently in my 20s.

Kirky658 · 03/02/2021 10:16

@lola0309 scan buddies! I've got mine tomorrow too 😬 so excited but so nervous too.

My main issues at the mo are sore boobs still, they feel so full and heavy. Feeling exhausted. And backache particularly when I've been sitting at my desk. And peeing constantly and random constipation too. So much fun 😂 nausea is up and down some days worse than others. I almost feel relieved the days I do get it so I know it's all real if that makes sense?

Lola0309 · 03/02/2021 10:21

@Kirky658 yes I totally get it. If I have a day where symptoms back off I’m on dr google thinking something is wrong. It’s so ridiculous isn’t it!
My boobs were so sore in beginning but backed off. I do think I need a different bra though as feeling uncomfortable. Mine grew immediately - typically husband noticed Hmm haha! Wish m&s clothing was open so could go and get fitted properly for something to help. Not sure where to start with internet! X

Blessedbutstressed96 · 03/02/2021 10:23

Well ladies after all that worrying and stress since I found out because of the cramps etc I’ve been having. Just returned from my early scan and have a healthy little bean with a heartbeat

Kirky658 · 03/02/2021 10:25

@lola0309 oh god me too, DH loves them I'm like go away pls! I was a 34b before BFP, god knows what size now but they are filling the cups for sure!!! I am the same. I miss M&S for so many reasons. And the food hall is also mega ofc 🤣

@blessedbutstressed96 omg yayy!!!!! Lovely pics too, how you feeling now?

RadDarwazeh · 03/02/2021 10:26

@ChrAmbaby I am also bloated constantly I don't know what to do to help it. If you find any solutions please let us know!

Good luck to everyone having scans coming up.

I've never had the flu jab, I don't see why pregnant women should have it? Are we more.prone to getting flu? Confused.
