@Madeoftea thank you so much! Im very relieved yes! Think we are having another at 9 weeks just to see if we are okay still. Where are you having yours? I will be thinking of you Flowers

I've got my first midwife appt next Monday, its all feeling quite real!

mrandmrslobster · 31/01/2021 18:02

@Lola0309

Hi ladies. Lovely news to read those who can had scans today and all went well. I’m really looking forward to mine now but anxious too. Just logged and after eating a whole bag of onion ring crisps whilst sitting on the sofa all day! No energy whatsoever, getting up to fetch the crisps was effort enough! How’s everyone else doing? My husbands just asked if I can start tea tonight and I’m gagging already!! X

I feel lethargic too. But I think that's a lockdown problem. I did burst into tears today when I couldn't get my wellies on over my too-thick socks 🙄 I've burst into tears a few times now over the most stupid things.

AdventuresAwait · 31/01/2021 18:32

@mrandmrslobster, I can relate to the bursting into tears over nothing! Blush

Madeoftea · 31/01/2021 18:36

@unicornpower oh good I'm so glad! Mine is at my epu to make sure I'm still progressing because it was too early to see anything when I had bad pains at 4 weeks. All being well though I think I will have another at about 9 weeks too at window to the womb. Everyone seems to have said good things about them so far.

I'm so happy it's starting to feel real for you! Smile I haven't even contacted my local midwives yet but it will be the first thing I do if everything's OK on Wednesday.

Is anyone else kind of wishing time away? This first trimester part is looooong. Me and my partner have told one close friend each so far, I want to wait to tell my mum around mother's day!

AnitaB83 · 31/01/2021 18:42

@Sillysocks998 @unicornpower that's great!!! I am very happy for you both:)

@Sillysocks998 I am exercising. I was cycling to work before pregnancy and I continue doing it (it is my only mechanism of transport at the moment!). Also, before pregnancy, I was doing elliptical machine 3-4 times a week and I also keep doing it now but at a lower intensity. I have read about exercising in pregnancy, everything suggests that if you were doing it before, you can continue your routine as long as you feel well. I think I will also confirm this with my midwife next Saturday (I have my first booking appointment then). Please, ladies let me know what you think!:)

Taybz · 31/01/2021 19:59

Hi ladies, it's so amazing to read about your scans going so well. I'm still battling nausea but looking forward to my scan this week and getting seen by the midwife as well. For those who did scans 6-7 weeks, I know you said you saw/heard the heartbeat but what did it look like? I mean the baby's body 😃 I'm so curious and clearly can't wait until mine.

Blessedbutstressed96 · 31/01/2021 21:43

Lovely to hear about everyone’s scans today! Hoping I have a good outcome at my scan Wednesday. My nerves are kicking in I’m working tomorrow and Wednesday hoping that’ll make it go in a bit faster being busy.

I’m still crampy now and again mainly at night. My breasts get so sore though so hoping it’s good signs. I’m going into week 6 now so hoping my sickness doesn’t come back with a vengeance

GWhiteley · 31/01/2021 22:30

@yorkshiremummytobe yes that's about right, and I'd be happy if I actually was sick but just feeling sick all the time is the pits. Especially if I get a whiff of something. Urgh.
No my skins not been too bad, though when I wash my hair & go to dry it with the hairdryer it already feels greasy to the touch at the back.
I know plenty of people that have had babies, but they don't tell you the small everyday stuff that goes with pregnancy do they?!

Brightspark12 · 31/01/2021 22:31

Is anyone els getting heart palpitations? I used to get the odd one every now and again but I had loads tonight... did some Googling and apparently common in early pregnancy due to hormones and increase in blood. I feel like this pregnancy is going to be long... I’m such a worrier 😂

GWhiteley · 31/01/2021 22:34

@Taybz mine looked like a blob if I'm honest. Though the heartbeat is very distinct & so amazing to see when I was expecting the worst.

@Blessedbutstressed96 hopefully the cramps are just your womb expanding like they said about mine, and everything will be fine when you go on Wednesday.

Blessedbutstressed96 · 31/01/2021 22:42

@GWhiteley I’m hoping it is just stretching pains etc and because of ds my body just not as strong as it was so finding it more painful 🤞🏼 So glad yours was nothing to worry about and baby growing nicely

Taybz · 31/01/2021 23:30

So I've got my scan tomorrow and all of a sudden I'm really anxious and getting horrible feelings about something going wrong. I stupidly took yet another cheapie test today and the line looked much more faded than the first time I had my bfp which really has me worrying. Was less nauseous today as well. I'm becoming quite the wreck. Everything's making me think the worst for tomorrow!

Taybz · 31/01/2021 23:40

@GWhiteley that must have really put your mind at rest. I'm a bit of a wreck at the moment.

unicornpower · 01/02/2021 08:35

@Taybz how many weeks are you? Have you read about the hook effect? Its worth having a read and it was true for me, I took a first response with FMU and it was fainter than the day before, so I diluted the sample with plain water and did another and it was a dye steal. I'll see if I can find the pic. As you get further along sometimes you have too much hormone in your pee. Obviously this isn't always the case but worth a look! Have a Google x

unicornpower · 01/02/2021 08:36

The top test was FMU and the second was the diluted sample (I pee in a pot and then test!)

AdventuresAwait · 01/02/2021 08:37

Thinking of you today @Tabz. Hope all goes well x

Highfalutinlootin · 01/02/2021 08:46

@GWhiteley I hear you on the constant, terrible nausea. I'm 9+2 and have had debilitating nausea since week 5. Actually throwing up is nothing and even kind of a relief compared to the nausea. I don't get out of bed most days and have gone whole weeks now without leaving the house. I am on Diclegis and have ondansetron but it doesn't fully take the nausea away. It's made me depressed and totally disinterested in this pregnancy. I'm just wishing away the first trimester hoping this hell ends.

GWhiteley · 01/02/2021 09:27

@Taybz I totally understand you being nervous, I've got everything crossed that's it's all fine for you 🤞🏻

unicornpower · 01/02/2021 09:40

@Taybz sending lots of love, i hope its all okay for you 💗

Babynum1 · 01/02/2021 10:14

@ErrolFinn I have been experiencing this (we’ve only done it twice) but have had a pastel peachy colour discharge when I wipe the following day which naturally I panicked and called the midwife. She said unless there was any fresh blood or pain no need to come in but it stopped the following day and only had it again after we had sex last. I’m 6+4 today and we’ve decided to hold off until 12 weeks now x

Hopefulmummie · 01/02/2021 10:44

Does anyone know if there's any good anti sickness tablets you can buy from chemist? My GP is a nightmare to get through to and I need something asap

GWhiteley · 01/02/2021 10:51

@Highfalutinlootin wow that is seriously bad if you can't get out of bed most days. Have you spoken to your midwife about it? I'm nowhere near as bad as you, but I'm rubbish at feeling sick & so have been pretty useless around the house recently. Sometimes want to stick my fingers down my throat but not sure that's a good idea.
Have you also found that even when you're not feeling sick you can't eat as much as you could before being pregnant? I've found I'm eating much less at lunch & dinner than I normally would

GWhiteley · 01/02/2021 10:57

@Highfalutinlootin ps, if it's been this bad to start things can only get better! I know how you feel about being disinterested, my husband doesn't understand why I'm not jumping for joy 🙄 but we can all support each other on here & moan to our hearts content if we need to. Have you got your 12 wk scan booked in yet?

Brightspark12 · 01/02/2021 11:43

@GWhiteley I am not feeling sick thankfully but I’m feeling very full and getting heartburn and indigestion... I can’t eat nowhere near as much as I used to. Probably be good thing as I’m worried about my weight so if I lose some will be a bonus!! X

dizzypixie · 01/02/2021 11:46

Ergh ladies, I’m just eating the most depressing lunch of crackers and Philadelphia - it’s the only thing I can stomach and I’m having to force it down. I’m so fed up of bland food - my husband is enjoying last night’s pork bao buns (in the other room, obviously, as I can’t stand the smell 😂). Can’t wait for this first trimester torture to end! I swear the lockdown makes it ten times worse...

However, it was so nice to hear about all your scans that went well - looking forward to more updates to keep me going!
