@Kirky658 I’m 6 weeks tomorrow so just a few days behind you. Aww you must have that pregnant and knackered look about you lol! I’ve just started feeling nauseous in the last couple of days. Have you had any sickness?

Jay3004 · 27/01/2021 17:32

@ChrAmbaby I know, what a coincidence! I know what you mean, I think I thought I’d see a professional sooner. My appointment is just via video conference so not even seeing anyone physically yet, I assume they’ll book me in for bloods afterwards. My best friend knows I’m pregnant and she has 2 children but things are so different now with COVID that the whole process is completely different to when she went through it.

Are you going to have an early scan? I’ve got one booked for a week on Saturday so that will be before my midwife appointment.

BabyVadera · 27/01/2021 18:12

@Flower95 I’m sorry you feel like this - there is a podcast I’ve been listening to called ‘Maybe baby’ where they interview lots of people about parenthood and the hosts are a couple who are unsure if they want to have children. I recommend it if you’re unsure on how you feel. Also remember that we are all living in such an odd world. Can you maybe tell someone close to you to let off some steam? Someone who won’t judge whatever decision you make xx

Flower95 · 27/01/2021 18:12

@Kirky658 my husband feels the same way as I do. We both can't make the decision clearly. It wasn't planned. We did picture us having kids but maybe not just yet. Now we are questioning everything. Congratulations btw I'm so happy for you xxx

Flower95 · 27/01/2021 18:14

@bluemagicalsky thank you.

@BabyVadera I will check out the podcast. I think we are totally overthinking everything. We thought we always wanted kids but now it's happened we are like Confused. Xx

MrsMcNtobe · 27/01/2021 18:30

@CherylLW was it uncomfortable? I’m happy to do that if it means they can see things better

unicornpower · 27/01/2021 18:31

@Flower95 I do think its a totally normal feeling to be questioning everything, particularly if it happened very quickly for you both. I have found this first part very scary and overwhelming to be honest! How far along are you? Maybe just let it sink in over the next few days and see how you feel, there's no rush to decide anything yet x

unicornpower · 27/01/2021 18:32

@MrsMcNtobe I had an internal ultrasound at the fertility clinic and honestly i found it less uncomfortable than a smear test, the nurse was very gentle though but honestly it doesn't hurt!

MrsMcNtobe · 27/01/2021 18:33

@unicornpower eeeek thank you! I need to chill the F out right now!

Flower95 · 27/01/2021 18:38

@unicornpower I'm 4+6 - we found out last Friday so still trying to take it all in but I feel we need to make a decision as going back and forwards isn't helping us.

Kirky658 · 27/01/2021 18:47

@jay3004 yay buddies ❤️ haha I know right! I'm covered in spots too I look fabulous right now. I haven't been sick yet but get really nauseous when I am hungry particularly.

@flower95 thanks honey. What is it that's making you concerned, is it money or something else? Xx

mrandmrslobster · 27/01/2021 19:38

Oh my god the spots ConfusedBlush

I've broken out in the worst spots all around my mouth. Bloody painful too!

Got my letters through from the hospital today with date for first appointment in Feb and first scan in March. Felt real all of a sudden to be opening the information leaflets that came with them.

AdventuresAwait · 27/01/2021 20:20

That's great @CherylLW, so pleased for you!!

Poppysmile · 27/01/2021 20:24

Heyy newbie here, congratulations to everyone, I’m 6 + 2days, just woundering has anyone else got very achy painful lower back and groin area, it’s been so sore, also got tender boobs just woundering if anyone is similar?

Flower95 · 27/01/2021 20:29

@Kirky658 I just felt my life was perfect the way it was, no responsibility. I did picture us having kids but now the reality is there I'm not sure it is something we want. Xx

CherylLW · 27/01/2021 20:30

@MrsMcNtobe it wasn’t comfy but it was completely manageable 😊

Brightspark12 · 27/01/2021 20:45

Poppysmile · 27/01/2021 21:03

MrsMcNtobe · 27/01/2021 21:07

Sillysocks998 · 27/01/2021 21:18

Hey everyone hope you're all OK. Great to hear you're having scans and good news. I've got mine this weekend and it's turning out to be the longest week of my life! All this worrying takes the joy out of it. My last period started on 21st December 2020. I'm 6 weeks going on 7 aren't I? I Dont know how to work it out and what I should be going by. This week I've felt nausea, it's stuck in my throat. I've taken loads of food out of the online shopping because its making me feel queezy. So I'm buying fruit next week and lighter food. The bloat is unreal tonight, my belly is also itchy. Don't even know if I'm actually pregnant after the bleed last Saturday night. Not bled since. Such a great place here to just have a bit of a ramble. Can anyone help me with how many weeks I am and how it's worked out?.thanking you xx

primhutch · 27/01/2021 21:18

Hi everyone,

Hope it's okay if I join

I am 8+3 with our first, due 4th Sept. Went for an early scan at window to the womb last week and it was definitely worth it - seeing little heart beat made it all feel real 😊

primhutch · 27/01/2021 21:23

@Sillysocks998 I think it's from your last period start day so you'd be 5 + 2 maybe? Not 100%, I got my sister to work mine out haha Xx
