Thank you @Kirky658
I will remain positive and you too. Xx

slightlybonkers · 26/01/2021 11:16

Hope you are all doing well ladies 💕I am overthinking every twinge, am not feeling nauseous like I was on my previous 2 pregnancies and getting a bit of stomach pain. Really hoping this will last but so hard to tell.

Kirky658 · 26/01/2021 11:42

@slightlybonkers my midwife told me last week unless my pain is very severe or one sided, and not accompanied by bleeding, then it is most likely nothing to worry about I am getting pains most days, apparently because of my endometriosis and everything stretching about it might be more painful, yay, how far gone are you? X

RadDarwazeh · 26/01/2021 11:46

I feel for you endometriosis girls. My sister has it badly and so many times I wished I could take at least some of the pain away for her.

I understand about noticing every little twinge and thing. I'm just coming up to 5 weeks and can't wait for the 12 week scan. I hope it's all ok. I get waves of joy then gut wrenching nervousness.

Sending hugs to all

ChrAmbaby · 26/01/2021 11:58

Hi Everyone! Congratulations on your big news and I wish you all the very best for your journey - such exciting times ahead for all of us.

Baby will be our first and according to NHS calendar he/she is due towards the end of Sept. DH and I haven't shared the news with anyone yet except our parents as we will only have completed 6 weeks tomo... want to wait until 12 weeks to share the news...

In terms of podcasts, I have been listening to 'The Pregnancy podcast' has some excellent and useful info. I also purchased us a first time pregnancy journal to document our journey.

No symptoms as yet except very heavy boobs but otherwise all good for now.

Just received my NHS letter for blood test in Feb, am I supposed to have another call before this appt as the letter says the appt will only last 15 mins. I'm pretty sure I will need more time.

slightlybonkers · 26/01/2021 13:30

Thanks @Kirky658 I am 4 weeks 6 days so very early days, fingers crossed for everyone!

Kirky658 · 26/01/2021 13:45

Yes definitely fingers crossed for all. I am in a total panic about my resting heart rate its gone from 47 yesterday to 40 today, trying to tell myself nothing to worry about as I still feel very pregnant, sore boobs, nausea etc.

Flower95 · 26/01/2021 14:18

Hi, does anyone feel really overwhelmed? Like they don't think they are ready and questioning whether i want to go ahead. I'm 4+5 so very early- wasn't planned.

hippinghen · 26/01/2021 14:54

@Flower95 don't worry I think a range of emotions are normal. I'm same weeks as you and was planned but I feel so sick and completely worn out that I beginning to think can I do this!? Sad

hippinghen · 26/01/2021 14:57

@Flower95 in fact I was that tired last night that when husband insisted I got some fresh air we were walking in the dark a really nice couple gave way to us on the pavement. My husband said thanks I said good morning Confusedcompletely out of it!!

I literally can't stop crying all the time and wish I was feeling normal before I found out. It's so odd. I really feel like I'm questioning myself about this whole things, do I want to have a child I'm 29 and I have no idea what I want in life. It's really annoying.

I have been walking to and it has helped a lot. Hope you are feeling better today xx

bluemagicalsky · 26/01/2021 15:52

I'm 6+2 and got my first call from the hospital today for a bloods/bmi appt next week. Happy the ball is now rolling. We have told our families, it felt so great to share it with them.
@beckyBP How you getting on?

Bubbles1st · 26/01/2021 16:03

When are bloods first supposed to be taken?
I'm 7+1 - my booking appointment isn't until 9 weeks and is only on the phone. The lady said after that call they will see me as soon as an appointment is available usually about a week later.
Does that sound about right? All very new to me but as I know my bmi is sky high I'm worried I need advice and guidance sooner rather than later about ensuring my pregnancy is healthy.

BabyVadera · 26/01/2021 16:10

@Flower95 I feel the same as you, I suddenly feel very overwhelmed. I think it doesn’t help that we are in lockdown and we can’t do much to distract ourselves and thinking 24:7. I also (very luckily) got pregnant in the first month and I expected it to take months, if ever, but it was suddenly like.... woah!!!

Flower95 · 26/01/2021 16:14

@BabyVadera Me too, we definitely weren't trying and surprise! (Agree we were very luck too) .. I agree lockdown doesn't help at all. I'm overthinking everything. Is this what I want? It's a massive change in our lives. It's really scary. I'm missing my old life already.

Sillysocks998 · 26/01/2021 17:11

Is anyone here a clinically extremely vulnerable person and worried about having the covid vaccine or have decided to not have it or have had it? Do we know anything about its impact on pregnancy or fertility? I feel scared about injecting something in me that could affect these things. We're all just trying to survive this aren't we, best we can.

Kirky658 · 26/01/2021 17:33

@bubbles1st I'm having my booking appt 8th Feb on phone then midwife said I would go in for bloods etc after that.
@sillysocks998 I have asthma but I don't think I'll be having it unless they deem it absolutely necessary

unicornpower · 26/01/2021 17:34

@Flower95 don't worry, its totally normal to feel overwhelmed, this pregnancy is completely longed for and it took us ages and I have been feeling so sick and tired I feel totally out of my depth and scared. I dont think lockdown helps as we can't do anything, I really want to see my parents but they live in a different county so I havent risked it. Just take some deep breaths and just follow your heart. Pregnancy is a scary time.

@hippinghen I feel exhausted too! I've had two naps today and am ready for bed already!

@hopefulmummie oh thats good! I am pleased you're feeling okay! Whens your scan? Is it Friday?
Im feeling okay thank you, I had to call the doctor yesterday due to the sickness, I hadn't kept anything down in over three days and I was so scared at one point, I just couldn't stop and it was so violent i just burst into tears! They seemed to have helped, still feel nauseous but can drink and eat small amounts thankfully.

Hope everyone is okay, we took the plunge and booked a scan for Sunday and im so nervous! Terrified they won't find anything!

unicornpower · 26/01/2021 17:37

Also, I contacted window to the womb today about whether or not I need to come with a full bladder as I know I will need an internal and they said yes as the sonographer will review the pre screening questionnaire that we fill in when we are there and then will tell me to empty my bladder. Seems daft to me as ive told them I have a retroverted uterus haha but okayyyy

Fi2612 · 26/01/2021 17:54

It’s so comforting having this group to discuss the symptoms or lack of symptoms.

I am 8 weeks tomorrow and I don’t have the nausea or most of the common symptoms. I do have sore boobs, heartburn at night and trouble sleeping. I had my first midwife appointment today and an early scan on Thursday, so I think I’ll feel more relaxed then.

Hopefulmummie · 26/01/2021 17:56

@unicornpower yeah Friday morning so not long to wait. Feeling completely fine today and no more spotting I just hope it stays that way. Aww that sounds awful hopefully you start feeling better.
I haven't had that much sickness yet the only time I feel nauseas is when I feel hunger I feel like I am going to boke

Bubbles1st · 26/01/2021 18:53

@Kirky658 how many weeks will you be when you have your booking appointment?

We have them the same day :)

Kirky658 · 26/01/2021 18:57

@bubbles1st sorry I forgot to say lol I'll be 8 weeks and 1 day on 8th Feb. Appointment buddies lol!

@unicornpower I've got my first early scan next Thursday, how far gone will you be when you have yours? I'll be 7 and a half weeks. Also very nervous and excited x

unicornpower · 26/01/2021 19:04

@Kirky658 ill be 6+4 hehe I know its so early but i can't wait any longer! I literally just want to know if it all looks ok! Its such a weird feeling isnt it, where are you having yours? X

Kirky658 · 26/01/2021 19:18

@unicornpower eeeee how exciting! At window to the womb. 😊 I had booked for 6+4 funnily enough but because I'm so anxious about it they recommended I wait another week 😅
