Congrats @EmLouisexx I feel exactly the same I'm so nervous don't know what to expect and difficult to ask my friends/ mum as keeping a secret until feel everything ok. Hope you are feeling well I am soooo tired today I couldn't sleep last night

Bubbles1st · 22/01/2021 16:51

Thanks @Taybz I am getting more and more tempted.
I'm 7 weeks Monday so I guess anytime would be good from now to go. It's my birthday tomorrow, I just checked and they do have a slot... what an awesome lockdown birthday that would be!

However I think I'd rather wait the extra days and see if they can date it better. Eek.

Congrats @EmLouisexx welcome to the club!

Taybz · 22/01/2021 16:59

@EmLouisexx congrats! First baby here too and I'm so anxious about everything! The nausea doesn't help either.

@Bubbles1st happy birthday!

unicornpower · 22/01/2021 17:01

@Taybz how far along are you now? Don't worry about the test, did you drink more water or test at a different time?

Madeoftea · 22/01/2021 17:26

@Taybz no I went to my EPU with quite bad pain on one side so they checked everything out. Luckily the pain has gone so I'm reassured for now, but they did ask if I was still testing (which I haven't been) and said they don't recommend it because it can cause unnecessary stress. I would try not to worry as long as you don't have any pain or bleeding.

Madeoftea · 22/01/2021 17:27

Thanks @unicornpower how are you feeling now?

Chica1990 · 22/01/2021 17:46

@AdventuresAwait thank you!

@Bubbles1st I definitely feel less anxious now. I was having images of them diagnosing me with pregnancy of unknown location.

@MrsMcNtobe I definitely feel a lot of relief that I’m starting on a normal path! My heart has been racing on and off this week and I feel like I can breathe a bit now. Obviously nothing is guaranteed but I’ll enjoy this moment. Looking forward to hearing about your scan on weds!

@unicornpower @JeccaP I’m so pleased and relieved. Obviously never know what’s around the corner but it’s a good start. My friend who had a miscarriage waited until her 12 week scan and I don’t know how she did it.

@Madeoftea really pleased to hear about your hcg levels. When is your scan booked for? Sending you good vibes!

@Taybz this was an nhs scan. I had an ectopic in October and if you’ve had one you’re chances of having another are increased, so they ask you to come in before the end of your sixth week to make sure everything is where it should be.

Fi2612 · 22/01/2021 17:48

Hi everyone, congratulations to you all! Hope you don’t mind me joining in.
I am now 7+2, we have a midwife appointment and early scan next week, so fingers crossed it’s all okay and it will feel real! It does feel like a long 12 weeks.

I’m just wondering when you all told people? We’ve not told anyone yet and I feel like im suffering alone a little. I think we will tell our parents after the early scan.

EmLouisexx · 22/01/2021 17:59

@hippinghen Thank you! I am feeling ok, super tired at the moment as also struggling to sleep! Had a achy belly today on and off, hoping nothing is wrong😫

AdventuresAwait · 22/01/2021 18:02

Hi @EmLouisexx, I am also really tired but struggle to sleep. Also having aches on and off. Today is a day when I do. It's helpful being able to share on here.

Hopefulmummie · 22/01/2021 18:27

Hi everyone hoping I can join. I'm 5+3 and found out I was pregnant last straight after my miscarriage in December. I'm really nervous as I also had an ectopic in June.
I've had minimal symtoms just tiredness and sore boobs but the last 2 days I haven't really had them which worry me

I was speaking to my early pregnancy unit today and they have booked me in for a scan next Friday so hopefully I will get some reassurance x

Mamamccarts · 22/01/2021 19:17

It's good to know from everyone on here that there is no norm and symptoms can come and go, TTC makes you overthink and doesn't seem to change when you are pregnant...but sure ever day is a blessing 🤗🤗 We told our close families about a week after finding out....if anything happened I would be relying on them anyway, but everyone has different circumstances! More to the point.....anyone missing Friday night wine lol

mrandmrslobster · 22/01/2021 19:29

We have told only our parents and chose a close friend each to tell. These are the people we would get support from if anything were to happen.

H3llie · 22/01/2021 19:41

@unicornpower yep, exactly how I feel! It’s wonderful that people can celebrate like that with an early pregnancy, but I just couldn’t do that, not until the 12 week scan. I follow Caroline Hirons (skincare expert) and she talked about her own mc on her Instagram live last night. Really hit home.
All we can do it TRY(!) to relax - at least the stomach churning feeling is reassuring that somethings going on hormone-wise 🤞

@Yknl huge congratulations - what a brilliant surprise for you! Can’t imagine how hard going through IVF must have been - my SIL/BIL have had several unsuccessful rounds, as well as close friends who have tried. Really happy for you that’s it’s happened on it’s own 😊

NommyChompers · 22/01/2021 19:46

Spotting seems to have slowed down at least for me! Anyone started with nausea yet? Anyone have any tips for disguising morning sickness at work?

AdventuresAwait · 23/01/2021 08:19

Good morning and congratulations to all who have joined!

I've woken up today, 6+3, and do not have the usual nausea & sore boobs. Not sure what to think and trying not to worry... 😕

unicornpower · 23/01/2021 09:02

@NommyChompers mine too! Seems to have stopped so im quite relieved. are you feeling okay? My nausea has set in and is pretty much all day tbh!

@AdventuresAwait oh no, try not to worry, I think its quite common during the early weeks for symptoms to come and go isnt it? Whens your scan? (Sorry I cant remember if you're having one or not!)

@H3llie oh I know! I saw a rainbow baby babygro i really want but im not buying anything until 20 weeks (if I hopefully get that far) have you got any sickness or anything?

Congratulations to all the new BFPS! Welcome to the club ❤ I tested again this morning as my spotting had stopped and it was a week since it started so just wanted to check if my estimate had got lighter. Its still at 3+ so im not testing anymore and will wait for my scan next weekend!

@madeoftea im good thank you, feel sick the majority of the day but oddly I find it quite comforting so im just relaxing and rolling with it. Whens your next scan?

AdventuresAwait · 23/01/2021 09:14

Thank you for replying @unicornpower, I think I just feel reassured that I'm actually pregnant when I have the symptoms! Scan is on Thursday...

H3llie · 23/01/2021 09:17

@unicornpower oh wow that sounds so cute 🌈 you just need to do what feels best for you. I’m sure you will be fine 👍
I’ve not been sick but just nausea and this constant churning stomach. I don’t know which is worse!

unicornpower · 23/01/2021 09:18

@AdventuresAwait I totally get it, my nausea lessened yesterday afternoon and I panicked and then it came back full force in the evening. Everywhere on Google says its normal for them to come and go so try not to fret too much, they will probably come back soon! Its all such a worry isnt it these early weeks x

AdventuresAwait · 23/01/2021 09:27

It really is. Thank you @unicornpower, I needed to hear that.

NommyChompers · 23/01/2021 09:29

@unicornpower all symptoms gone for now (even sore boobs) but still testing strongly positive so will wait for my early scan in a few weeks

So hard not to read into everything when you’re a higher risk pregnancy and have waited so long for the positive :(

Snuggles66 · 23/01/2021 09:36

Good morning mamma's to be!!! Another day closer to the 12week mark! Anyone be really tossy turny at night, my partner cuddles into my back every night and I near jump out of the bed if he touches my boobs Confused....can't imagine what I'll be like with a bump to deal with!

Bubbles1st · 23/01/2021 09:54

Morning,
I don't really have any symptoms anymore like they were when I found out. Boobs are bit sore but not as much as they were. Stomach feels a bit achy sometimes. Only had one wave of nausea when I was hungry in Tesco and hot in a mask.

However can I sleep? Hardly, can I get
Comfortable hardly! Am I tired very!

I'm leaning more and more towards an early scan for some peace of mind that up to now all is as it should be.

AnitaB83 · 23/01/2021 10:22

@Bubbles1st, that's me. My symptoms are gone. My boobs are a bit sore but less than before and I have not had very strong nausea (only a bit in the beginning). Also, I had cramps last week but have not had cramps for the past days!

This and the fact that yesterday I did a Clear Blue digital test in the afternoon to check progression (I know I should have not done it), and still says 2-3 weeks! (I am 6+2 according to my last period dates). I am worried of course but there is nothing we can do is there? I have a early scan next Friday booked (I had booked it last week) let's see:)
