Hi!! Firstly congratulations!!!
I got my bfp on the 27th December, I’ve got my first docs appointment in 3 days time, but over the phone he seems to think I’m due on the 21st/22nd august👶🏼 So excited!!!

seensome · 02/01/2021 13:28

I'm 6w, feeling very nauseous and have gone off food, luckily I'm on furlough so I don't have to put on a brave face at work.
Tummy is bloated even though I haven't eaten much, so I'm worrying I'm having twins 😂
I've self referred online the other day for the midwife and got a auto reply to say midwife would be in touch within 3 weeks, she called the next day, I missed the call and she messaged to say she will be in touch again early next week, so the wait wasn't too bad .

My emotions are all over the place though, being a surprise baby, I'm calm and happy one minute then can change to being panicky and worrying if I can do this again, this will be baby no4 for me but my youngest is almost 10.

SAHX · 03/01/2021 07:59

@Milligan85
I have this a little some days I feel awful! other days I feel okay and actually get a bit crampy and really panic but the way I see it no blood no worry!( and even then light blood isn't necessary a worry) everything for everyone is different some people feel like hell others not feel anything.
Im a right worrier defiantly woke up like this today but trying to just believe everything will be okay. 4 years of trying does panic you a bit.

My scan is on the 9th I will be 7weeks4days shitting it but also buzzing

Milligan85 · 03/01/2021 08:11

@SAHX thankyou and congratulations, a wee blessing for you then. Before any MCs, children or any difficulties, you sort of take it for granted that everything is plain sailing and its so easy. Although my boob pain came back (yay) 😛 ever wish you want all the symptoms just to know everything's OK? Sad I know. Hope all is well with your scan, it is an exciting time x

Smallbean27 · 03/01/2021 12:16

Had my early scan today, 7w 2d - due 20th Aug. Needed tranvaginal to see everything, but saw the heartbeat which was exciting!
It feels like a long time to wait until 12w to see them again!
Hope all of you are doing well xx

mommyofone2019 · 03/01/2021 13:17

@Smallbean27 how amazing!! Did you get photos ?
Can't wait for my scan, 2 more weeks to wait feels like a lifetime away!!
Since finding out time seems to be going so slowly xx

@mommyofone2019 yes, we got quite a few photos. The sonographer was great, very informative!
It will come round quickly! How far along are you? Xx

@Smallbean27 beautiful best feeling I bet, can’t wait for mine

Question ladies... I wake up in the morning and till like 3 pm I just have your “good” symptoms but after 3pm every day at the moment I’m getting cramping! Why is it happening in the afternoons so random! May message my midwife xx

Smallbean27 · 03/01/2021 20:08

@mommyofone2019 congrats! Its weird as it doesn't look like a human but reassuring to know its there 😂.
@SAHX it is a good feeling! Its hard to know what is normal with cramping, mine comes and goes - i guess we are all different xx

mommyofone2019 · 04/01/2021 22:16

Happy lockdown everyone 😩🥺😣😵

Really hope this doesn't affect appointments and partners attending scans!

I'm hoping not too ... I'm terrified and don't know how I'd cope alone
SAHX · 05/01/2021 09:12

Don’t think partners will be aloud to scan unless they are private! Which is horrendous but I’m booking private scans for all the important scans now xx

NikkiD88 · 05/01/2021 09:37

The few times I've been in already, whilst under tier 4... my husband has been with me but has to wait outside until we're called into the scan room. And obviously we have to have masks on the whole time.

SAHX · 06/01/2021 11:11

Omg I’m going crazy! No cramping or bleeding! Yesterday my symptoms were so strong, sick tired boobs the whole lot. Today I barely feel anything my boobs don’t hurt much and I don’t feel sick! Keeps doing this is anyone else very on and off with symptoms? Xxx

mommyofone2019 · 06/01/2021 11:31

@NikkiD88 were these routine appointments? Sorry if that's a personal question. I'm really working now that we are under a national lockdown about how things are going to go!
I was told that between 6-8 weeks I'd have to go to what they are calling an early bird clinic for the routine blood tests and whatever else it entails. I'm nearly 7 weeks and haven't heard anything. And also worrying that hubby won't be able to come to the 12 week scan.
We have a private scan booked at 8 weeks so at least he can come to that but still! X

Not routine, I was suspected ectopic early on so was scanned and bloods done to check that out. Thankfully all in the right place and bloods doubled. Re-scanned to see some gestational sac progress and another follow up next week to see baby and heart beat (only fetal pole seen on the scan at 5w 6 days)

Midwife usually does the 8 week booking appointment on the phone now so if you haven't heart they'll be in touch soon... or ring them yourself and ask about it. She'll go through all the Q's then will ask you to go to their clinic for your bloods and weight height etc. And then next routine app is 12 week scan. Feels like forever the first few weeks of you haven't heard or seen anyone. But so long as you registered your pregnancy with the docs the midwife will get in touch around 7-8 weeks :)

thelessiknow · 06/01/2021 12:04

@SAHX I haven’t had much at all either! I’m getting very mild waves of nausea and I’m just really tired. I think it’s normal (what is normal anyway?!). Have you had an early scan?

God time is actually crawling atm - hooow am I going to get through another six weeks of this 😫 just ordered myself some baby wool so I can start knitting some hats for friends’ babies to try and keep myself busy and stop googling!

mommyofone2019 · 06/01/2021 15:02

@NikkiD88 I have been referred on by my drs and just awaiting to receive some kind of communication, was advised between 6-8 weeks. I only had my daughter in 2019 and everything is just so different now because of Covid!

I'm 9 weeks today and called the antenatal team at the hospital yesterday, I was referred at five weeks by my GP. I told them I still haven't heard anything but they said it's in the last stage and I should hear something in the next few days/week. I'm in East London if that makes any difference. Very anxious/eager to hear something !!

mommyofone2019 · 06/01/2021 15:42

I've literally just had the post and received my letter! Appointment is on the 12th for bloods to be done and another urine sample/observations. Then 2 weeks later a follow up appointment will be carried out over the phone by a midwife.

I feel lucky, my 1st appt will be next week with the midwife (9 weeks) face to face. Guessing its all different depending on where you live! Im in derbyshire.

SAHX · 06/01/2021 16:18

I’m in Hampshire, have my midwife appointment next week I will be 8 weeks, I think everywhere is different xx

Maybe London is crazy busy because of all the COVID stuff ... our hospitals are probably going mad atm
