Thank you @mommyofone2019 congratulations to you too.

It is weird and I keep thinking that my period might start. Been having cramps but they don’t feel as painful as usual cramps so thinking that’s normal.

Congratulations @SAHX not sure what’s normal as this is my first but I have had lots of back pain too. It’s probably my biggest ‘symptom’ at the moment.

SAHX · 17/12/2020 16:47

@Lemongrass9 I’m the same as you there. My cramps are really on and off are yours? Seem to start when I move around ( they are pretty dull i think I’m just noticing them because I’m panicking they seem to get work when I worry! Bloody brain) where as with my period my cramps are quiet bad and are worse when I sit still.
Hoping it’s all normal bloody hell do wish you could fast forward the first 12 weeks

mommyofone2019 · 17/12/2020 21:13

It's such a worry isn't it 🥺 I feel like I'm on edge waiting for AF to arrive on Sunday/Monday.
My frers have been delivered so I will test again tomorrow and hope the line is darker. Excessive I know 😂

Hey Everyone!

I got my BFP today too. I recently had a miscarriage in October so was a big surprise to find out we conceived so quickly. Due date of 28th Aug.

Little more nervous/scared this time as I think I will be waiting for something bad to happen but trying to stay positive. We have also just reserved a newbuild house, due to move in June! So hopefully timing works out, haha.

mommyofone2019 · 17/12/2020 22:18

@MumToBeMaz congratulations! I'm 28th august too 🤗
So sorry to hear about your miscarriage in October 🥺

Yay! Due date twins!

Yeah, it was devastating. My sister in law found out she was pregnant at the same time as me, so it was difficult watching her go for scans knowing that we should have been doing that too.

Finding out we were pregnant has given us a bit of hope though. Just going to take it one day at a time. I am absolutely delighted though.

melly76x · 17/12/2020 22:45

@SAHX I also have that feeling of being wet down there!! Something else I can't remember from when I was pregnant with my son, and on and off stomach and back cramps although I find mine to be worse when I'm sat down as I think thats when I'm most thinking about it!

Lemongrass9 · 18/12/2020 07:47

@SAHX yes my cramps are on and off too and I’m definitely noticing them more when I’m thinking about it. My period cramps are normally so painful I struggle to move around much but these are nothing compared to that.

Bit tmi but I’ve been struggling with constipation the past week or so so can’t quite workout if some of the sharp cramps I’m getting are down to that 😬.

mommyofone2019 · 18/12/2020 09:17

The joys of pregnancy ay! I'm still not feeling much, just dreading the next few days as AF is due. Tmi but every time I have a wee my first thing now is checking the toilet paper to see if there's blood 🥺 minds in overdrive. Just want the next few weeks to pass by with everything ok 🤞🏻

Lemongrass9 · 18/12/2020 09:29

I’m doing this too @mommyofone2019 and I’m weeing a lot so I’m checking a lot 🙊.

I feel really torn by between being realistic about the chance of a bad outcome and being positive and hoping for a good outcome. Going to be a difficult few months isn’t it!

mommyofone2019 · 18/12/2020 09:39

@Lemongrass9 it's so hard not to get too carried away. As you say I'm trying to be positive but I don't want to get too ahead of myself and jinx myself!! Especially when it's so early in, I'll only be 4 weeks tomorrow (I think)

I did another frer this morning and the line was definitely darker than yesterday! I still have some clear blue digital being delivered today so will be nice (fingers crossed) to see the words pregnant in front of me in black and white. Still feels so surreal atm xx

My cramping is nearly gone now but I’m am also doing this wipe and check thing I think it’s totally normal. I thought I saw something there this morning and nearly had a heart attack but all seems to be clear fluid so I guess that’s a really good sign. I’m 4 weeks 3/4 days today just waiting for the weekend to do my last test I hope. I just want a little dye stealer and then I’ll stop testing. Testing gives me anxiety how about you girls?!
Tbh my nervous are through the roof it feels so precious don’t want anything to go wrong but hay positive vibes.
Have you guys told anyone yet? Xx

sophia0 · 18/12/2020 09:56

I'm exactly the same about checking every time I go to the toilet, glad I'm not the only one 🙈 fingers crossed the next few weeks go quick for us all

mommyofone2019 · 18/12/2020 09:56

This is my frer line progression. It's definitely darker today (today's is the bottom one) xx

@SAHX I've only told my husband!!

OP posts:
sophia0 · 18/12/2020 09:58

I'm the same, I think will tell people once I've had a scan. Will have to make excuses about why I'm not drinking over christmas.

SAHX · 18/12/2020 09:59

@mommyofone2019 yeah that’s great progression!
When do you think you will stop testing? X

SAHX · 18/12/2020 10:01

@sophia0 yeah I get that me and my husband have been through a real hard long journey to get to this point so ill be telling my family Xmas day but no one else till scan. I will be just over 5 weeks on Xmas day ahh can’t wait to get to that next week! All of a sudden the days are dragging! Haha.

mommyofone2019 · 18/12/2020 10:33

@SAHX I'll just use what I have now then won't test again. Need to phone the drs!

OP posts:
SAHX · 18/12/2020 10:36

@mommyofone2019 is this your first baby? If not what do you do? I don’t know when to call the doctors 🥴😂 xx

mommyofone2019 · 18/12/2020 10:44

@SAHX no this will be no2 ❤️ you book an appointment at sea to speak to a midwife, called a booking in appointment. They then get you on the system and that's how the letter for your 12 week scan is set up, it's linked with the hosp xx

OP posts:
SAHX · 18/12/2020 10:47

@mommyofone2019 eeekk okay thank you all very exciting/ scary.
Will probs call them next week just before Xmas I’m going for bloods next week I want them to check my progesterone so will do all of that then xx

Lemongrass9 · 18/12/2020 11:04

That line progression looks great @mommyofone2019

I’ve only told my husband @SAHX we did the test together and then I had to do a clearblue digital as he didn’t believe the boots own 😂.

I called the gp today mainly to ask about how to fix my constipation safely but when I said I was pregnant he seemed completely unfazed and didn’t ask anything about whether I was taking the right vitamins or if I needed to be referred so I’ve looked online and in my area I can just self-refer to midwife so will do that later.

mommyofone2019 · 18/12/2020 11:23

@SAHX I feel like it's all new to me again and I only had my daughter last year 😂
Nothing else you need to do other than call the drs to book your 1st midwife appointment. Any further midwife appointments were always booked when I was there seeing my midwife - although not sure what the hell will be happening now with Covid 🤷🏻‍♀️
And you will receive your 12 week scan letter via the post!

OP posts:
mommyofone2019 · 18/12/2020 11:23

@Lemongrass9 yeah some areas you can self refer! I think I will call after Xmas now!
