Is around who's due in April 2021? How are you feeling?

I was in a thread on here in early pregnancy, dropped off when I joined the buddies Facebook group, I'm still in it but its not really for me.... I miss having a place to go to chat pregnancy though.

BIG knickers for post-birth. If you're usually a 10 I'd go for a size 14. Helps if they're high waisted/full briefs incase you have a c section. I just cheap supermarket ones in black for my first baby and have done the same with this one. I never liked the disposable ones and ended up throwing them away before using them all.

@BumpGrowingAndINeedPantsPlease of course you can - inbox is open! Please include:

  • The make, model, year, type (hatch/estate/saloon) and no of doors of each car
  • if you want isofix or belt fit
  • a rough budget for everything

Happy to help 😊

bunhead34 · 02/03/2021 15:01

Thanks for the pant info! I think I will just get some big ones xx

Inkpaperstars · 02/03/2021 17:01

I was going to get some disposable pants too but then someone, maybe on this thread or maybe on another, pointed out that especially if you’ve had a c section it’s actually harder to get the knickers on and off than to change a pad.

It’s looking likely I am going to end up with a section though not confirmed yet....dreading the recovery already!

Flyingfrogspawn · 02/03/2021 18:09

I got disposable pants with my first and never wore them. When I opened them they didn't actually look comfy and the extra padding a pad provided made things comfier in the early days after birth. But since I've got some left over I probably will still stick a few in my hospital bag this time just as spares.

Has everyone got names sorted? I feel like I'm prepared with everything else but still can't find a name for baba x

Inkpaperstars · 02/03/2021 18:21

No, we don’t have a name, and tbh we’re so behind with everything else that I am not really making time to think about it...I figure a name is a bonus but not immediately necessary. Grin

Hopefully we will have time to think about it before delivery! In terms of registering though the registry office is apparently way behind due to covid and so the usual six weeks to do it doesn’t apply, we have been told to expect to not be able to do it until much later.

Catlady21 · 02/03/2021 18:23

We have a girl's name but not a boys one yet. If it's a boy he will probably be called boy for a while!

Flyingfrogspawn · 02/03/2021 18:41

I didn't really have much to do to get sorted this time round. Had all my 1st babies things still so only bought a few things. But names are just proving difficult. My husband loves Layla or Frankie but can't say in drawn to either.

flappityflippers1 · 02/03/2021 19:50

Our DS chose baby’s name - this little one is called Oliver (Ollie) no idea where he got it from but he’s stuck to it firmly since we asked him for ideas and it goes well with his name, and our surname so happy days!

We had Genevieve for a girl, love that name ❤️

LucieStar · 02/03/2021 19:53

I’m in the April 2021 club too Smile
Hi everyone!

BaaHumbugg · 02/03/2021 20:18

@luciestar welcome! This thread is filling up fast now, I wonder who will pop first, probably those with a planned section but who knows !

LucieStar · 02/03/2021 20:28

Thanks @BaaHumbugg!
I'm 33 weeks now... getting so close Shock

Inkpaperstars · 02/03/2021 22:00

Hi @LucieStar

Genevieve is nice @flappityflippers1, will add that to my list!

Our little boy will be James William.

Has anyone found that their sickness has recently come back? I experienced a lot of symptoms of HG in the first (some of second) trimester so it's nothing like that level. But for the past week, I've felt really nauseous in the morning to the point of almost being sick but not quite. Anyone similar?

flappityflippers1 · 03/03/2021 10:46

@BumpGrowingAndINeedPantsPlease Fab, I’ll have a read and will reply later on Smile

Love James William @1sttimemumtobe2021!

LucieStar · 03/03/2021 10:54

Does anyone else have a naughty little breech baby who refuses to turn the right way? 🙈

I'm 33+4 today - she was breech for about 6 weeks, she's been head down briefly for about a week or so, but flipped back again according to midwife yesterday!

BaaHumbugg · 03/03/2021 11:24

@LucieStar hopefully she will turn as you still have plenty of time!

I'm so tired today feel like I could sleep for a week!

flappityflippers1 · 03/03/2021 13:19

I’ve just had growth scan and baby is still small and starting to drop, so he’s being born bang on 37 weeks on 20th March!! 😮😮😮
Only 2.5 weeks! Argh!

1sttimemumtobe2021 · 03/03/2021 13:22

Wow @flappityflippers1, how exciting that you will get to cuddle your little one in 2.5 weeks! It's crazy how much time flies!

Any last min bits you still need to get?

flappityflippers1 · 03/03/2021 13:37

@1sttimemumtobe2021 it feels so soon!!

I think we have everything, need to grab a starter pack of formula at some point in case we have any booby issues, as won’t have much time to harvest colostrum now he’s so early.

clb8921 · 03/03/2021 13:42

@flappityflippers1 wow, not long at all!

It’s really starting to dawn on me that April is next month. On one hand, I’m super excited and counting down. On the other, I am so not prepared! I still don’t think I’ve realised it’s actually happening - totally living in denial right now 😅

Inkpaperstars · 03/03/2021 14:08

Exciting news flappity although at the same time it is a bit shocking to have a date! You sound well prepared so I hope you get to relax a bit and enjoy the anticipation of little one’s arrival.

BaaHumbugg · 03/03/2021 14:24

How exciting @flappityflippers hopefully you can get some rest in between now and then!

That’s a lovely name Smile.

I have had nausea pretty much throughout but I have heard it can get worse as you progress if you are getting worsening acid reflux or heartburn...I am on omeprazole and I really notice if I forget a dose.
