Fancy keeping me company? How are you doing?

Was my due date today, from my ovulation date I actually think it's more like this weekend though tbh.

Not feeling too bad tbh pretty relaxed about it all this time round except the excessive texts and phone calls from people since last week "any sign of baby yet?" - fuck off!!!

Have my essential oil diffuser on with lavender and clary sage and just waiting for my dh to come and give me a foot rub.

Sending labour vibes to everyone due now.

@41weekswithno2 That sounds very promising, fingers crossed for you!

addler · 01/12/2020 23:43

I seem to be getting almost daily nosebleeds now. Where is the pregnant goddess of feminine beauty they go on about?

Stargazer87 · 02/12/2020 09:09

@41weekswithno2 How are you doing? Any developments?

41weekswithno2 · 02/12/2020 09:20

Still losing bits of mucus and feel a bit crampy but that's it. I'm hoping all of this 'pre labour' means for an easier ride in active labour 🤞🏻

MIL is taking ds to the park today & to hers for lunch so I'm going to try and go out for a power walk.

41weekswithno2 · 02/12/2020 09:20

Anyone else anything overnight?

Stargazer87 · 02/12/2020 09:38

I woke up at 5am feeling really sick but that's about it...🤷🏻‍♀️

Stargazer87 · 02/12/2020 09:46

I also feel like I'm getting a cold this morning...🤦🏻‍♀️

41weekswithno2 · 02/12/2020 10:21

@Stargazer87 I woke up with a sore throat a few days ago and started panicking as I thought if I get a cough then we need to isolate until I can get a negative test and kept thinking I'd end up giving birth alone Shock Anyway sore throat went away after 2 days and didn't develop into anything thankfully.
Urgh pandemic pregnancy is no fun! I think we've all had the worst of it, pregnant for the entire pandemic so far and giving birth in the second wave Sad

addler · 02/12/2020 12:05

Saw the midwife this morning and everything is still the same. Next appointment is 41+2 and said we'll discuss induction then, but I think provided everything is alright I'd rather go with the daily monitoring and wait a bit longer.

Had an almost brisk walk there and then the way back took twice as long as I was shuffling along waddling from side to side Confused

41weekswithno2 · 02/12/2020 12:10

@addler the waddling probably means baby was really low in your pelvis so that's good :)

I've just ordered a dominos for lunch Grin

Stargazer87 · 03/12/2020 09:13

How's everyone doing today? x

addler · 03/12/2020 09:29

Still pregnant Hmm

Since yesterday afternoon I've had a short sharp pain in my left side, down low. I'm guessing it's nothing to do with impending labour but I've no idea what it is.

It only lasts a second but I've been getting it several times an hour or more since yesterday. It feels similar to when I would get ovarian cyst pain and a similar place. It's very annoying. Maybe I overdid it on my walk yesterday?

phe694 · 03/12/2020 09:48

still pregnant and so fed up 😣😣

Stargazer87 · 03/12/2020 09:49

How far along is everyone now? I'm 40+2, trying to think of new ideas to encourage things along! 🤣

phe694 · 03/12/2020 10:16

i'm 5 days over, literally tried everything apart from sex 🙈

phe694 · 03/12/2020 10:17

opps, 6 days 😅

Stargazer87 · 03/12/2020 10:18

I've got 10 days to get things going naturally as I'll be induced at 12 days over which I really want to avoid as my hospital aren't allowing partners for the induction process...😩

41weekswithno2 · 03/12/2020 10:19

Urgh I'm 41+1, feel like the most pregnant person in the world. I had ds at 41+1 but went into labour the day before.

Tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary of my dads death and I feel like I'll always be sad on the baby's birthday if he's born tomorrow.

@addler sounds like a pulled ligament maybe? If it keeps bothering you or gets worse then just call maternity assessment, they won't mind.

phe694 · 03/12/2020 10:21

i have another sweep booked in for tomorrow, my one last week failed so hopefully this one will work if i've had nothing by then, she also said she'd speak to me about an induction, but not sure how it works where i am as it's a small birthing centre, the nearest main hospital is an hour away 🙈

41weekswithno2 · 03/12/2020 10:23

@Stargazer87 I'm booked for an outpatient induction on Saturday, they'll insert a foley balloon then send me home for 24 hours then I'll go back in to have my waters broken and taken to labour ward if I've not gone into labour by then. DH not allowed in either until established labour but DH would have to look after ds until we're sure I'm in labour anyway so I suppose hospital rules don't make much difference to me that way.
Would definitely rather go into labour at home.

41weekswithno2 · 03/12/2020 10:24

Was thinking of going for a walk but it's really icy here and don't want to fall.

addler · 03/12/2020 10:58

@41weekswithno2 I'm sorry about tomorrow, I wonder if the idea of that has been subconsciously delaying your labour? I hope the day goes as well as it can for you, all things considered Thanks

41weekswithno2 · 03/12/2020 11:12

@addler possibly could be inhibiting the happy hormones I need. Once dh finishes work at 4 we're going to buy our Christmas tree and start decorating so that will be nice at least Smile
Dh has also been giving me a foot massage every night with labour massage oil (clary sage, lavender & jasmine) then stroking my back until I get sleepy before buggering off to the other room so I've enough space for all of my pillows Grin
Can't really think of anything else to try now. Do you guys think it's ok to keep having sex after losing so much mucus plug? Or is there an infection risk?

Stargazer87 · 03/12/2020 11:36

@41weekswithno2 I'm sorry to hear about tomorrow, that could very well be stopping those happy hormones understandably. Getting your Christmas tree sounds like a lovely thing to do.

I've heard it's ok to have sex unless your waters have broken, that's what causes the infection risk.

I keep getting an increasing about of white milky discharge...not sure if that means anything or is any way related to my mucus plug??

addler · 03/12/2020 11:52

@41weekswithno2 that sounds like a lovely afternoon!

@Stargazer87 I've had the same with the discharge, I think I was getting a lot more mucus blobs in the second trimester but since I've been term there's been nothing! Hmm
