Fancy keeping me company? How are you doing?

Was my due date today, from my ovulation date I actually think it's more like this weekend though tbh.

Not feeling too bad tbh pretty relaxed about it all this time round except the excessive texts and phone calls from people since last week "any sign of baby yet?" - fuck off!!!

Have my essential oil diffuser on with lavender and clary sage and just waiting for my dh to come and give me a foot rub.

Sending labour vibes to everyone due now.

@Wise0wl with DS1 I went into labour 7 days over and had him 8 days over, I was massively uncomfortable and fed up by that point. Not helped by constant harassment of people asking if I'd gone into labour. I hope today is the day for you.
Will you have an induction if you get to 42 weeks?
I'm ok, been awake since 4.30 though Sad ds will be at nursery all day today though so maybe I can try to have a nap after lunch or something.

Yes! The harassment is relentless and adding to the stress. I think I will probably at least book in an induction and see how I feel? I really hope not to need it.

Ditto, the 4.30am wake ups take their toll and I know I’m lucky in that I can have a nap in the afternoons. I hope you get to have one today 🙂

I think I have period cramps Grin going to do housework then go for a shower and wash my hair. Will try to stay upright.
Keep your fingers crossed for me

Ooo exciting @40weekswithno2!!! Hope it turns into something proper for you!!

MummytoMatildaX · 27/11/2020 11:40

Hi all! Our beautiful baby girl was born at 03:16am, only half an hour after arriving at the hospital! I was only in the birthing pool for 7 minutes before she arrivedStar Both doing really well! We got home at 7:15am. She is so content. Hope you’re all well! x

40weekswithno2 · 27/11/2020 11:42

40weekswithno2 · 27/11/2020 12:01

Possibly too much info but I have been feeling like I need to poo for the last hour as well Blush and nauseous. Hopefully these are signs!

Any advances on the situation @40weekswithno2??

40weekswithno2 · 27/11/2020 19:32

@Pukeymama nothing now for 3 hours. I was told a bit of stressful news about a close family member and it all seems to have halted any cramps Sad
DH has just ordered me some nice food and is finding a comedy to put on. He's offered sex, massage and nipple tweaking services Hmm obviously only thinking of me.
I'm going to put my phone away now I think and try to relax.

Oh no, sorry to hear that. Yes definitely have a chilled evening and try to relax. Take care ♥️

addler · 27/11/2020 20:18

@40weekswithno2 sorry to hear that, that's such bad timing. I hope things work out with it Thanks

Hopefully DH's altruistic ways help tonight!

40weekswithno2 · 27/11/2020 23:21

Having some cramps again, they're mild so I'm going to get some sleep 🤞🏻

addler · 28/11/2020 11:23

Hope things picked up for you again.

Due date today and still feeling exactly the same as I did three weeks ago. 9 days until my sister leaves the country, I wish she wasn't going so soon as then I think I would be able to relax and just know baby will come when it's ready. It's like choosing to have the homebirth I want or choose induction before 41+2 and have no homebirth and all the possible negatives that come with induction but have my sister here. Or don't choose induction and then run the risk of going to 42 and needing an induction anyway and my sister not being here.

Just get OUT baby please!

Wise0wl · 28/11/2020 14:00

@addler I totally sympathise. I’ve been encouraged to book an induction for 42 weeks and now just feel like I’m watching a clock and my stress is increasing. Totally counter productive!

40weekswithno2 · 28/11/2020 20:12

Urgh nothing! I'm massively uncomfortable this evening and I ate too much to make me feel better which of course has made me feel worse. I want to go to bed but I know if I lie down with a full stomach I'll feel even worse.

Baby seems to have his wee feet dug right into my ribs which is very unpleasant.

How are the rest of you doing this evening?

OP posts:
Pukeymama · 28/11/2020 20:45

I've been having contractions on and off since Thursday, was really hoping they would have progressed by now, especially since it isn't my first baby! I keep hoping each morning I'll wake up in full on labour, but by the evening I'm so tired I'm happy to wait another day 😆

40weekswithno2 · 28/11/2020 21:04

@Pukeymama oh god that's how I feel, I'm shattered. Wouldn't mind going into full labour at 5am after some sleep 🤣

I didn't have any of this on / off cramping with ds but I had a 24 hour back to back labour with painful contractions nearly the whole time, pretty close together.

I'm hoping these little cramps are at least preparing my cervix to make this labour quicker / easier.

OP posts:
40weekswithno2 · 28/11/2020 21:45

Ooh I've had 2 very real contractions in the last 20 mins maybe? Bloody hell id forgotten how sore they were.

OP posts:
Wise0wl · 28/11/2020 21:58

🤞🤞 this is it @40weekswithno2

addler · 28/11/2020 22:48

Hope this is it for you! Still nothing over here.

Pukeymama · 29/11/2020 08:21

So I had a bit of a weird night. Went to bed fine but at 11 suddenly felt really ill, was very sick and felt desperate for a poo (sorry a bit gross). Nothing would come, had a bloody show (thought I'd already had my show on Thursday, although it wasn't bloody then) and kept having the worst hot flushes. Was convinced it was kicking off but because cramps weren't too painful went to sleep. This morning, not much happening at all!!! So frustrating!

@addler, do you have the option of requesting an induction a bit earlier then, due to your sister?

@WiseOwl when will your induction be booked?

I've got a consultant appointment on Thursday to discuss C-section as not allowed to be induced as attempting a VBAC following previous EMSC.
