@LouiseT12 if you are a bit sore after giving birth, take the jug with you to the toilet for the first few times.
Fill it with lukewarm water and put it over yourself down below as you wee. It dilutes the urine and stings less. It's incredible.

Has anyone experienced bleeding after a sweep? I had my sweep this morning and I bled red blood straight after. My midwife said to put a pad on and if I fill it then to phone triage. Luckily I haven't...but since then I've been spotting brown blood and still spotting now is this normal to be spotting for so long? Baby is still moving about as normal..

Yes. Annoyingly the blood is normal as is cramping. It’s just SO MUCH FUN! 🙄

What us women have to go through eh! 😂 I just wish pregnancy would come with a dummy guide right at the beginning and explain all of the ins and outs that you actually don't know the reality of until you're going through it!

Anyone else’s heartburn really bad? Mines is getting unbearable at 39 weeks and baby dropping I thought it was supposed to go away not get worse :|

@Lollipop93 yes, mine is really bad (and interrupting my daytime napping plans!) but my baby is not dropping. I have a scheduled c section so counting off the nights of waking up with acid reflux now...

Hi ladies update from me or should I say us!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 baby girl arrived at 2:14am today weighing 7lb14 oz, won’t be long for you all now keep going xxxx

3rd time lucky with the stretch and sweep had second one Friday afternoon and had bloody show/ irregular contractions all night but they was still irregular on sat dinner to the point I was so fed up and had a little cry I went in to get checked to see if I had progressed but was still 2cm and no change (had another cry lol) whilst she was examining me gave me another stretch and sweep still no luck after another 2 hours she then said they could get things moving as I was in really bad pain with contractions but it was like my body just couldn’t establish active labour so they broke my waters at 10pm and she arrived at 2:14am xx

39+3 here, been getting more heartburn and backache, and stronger feelings in my stomach today - nothing I can definitely call contractions rather than BH though

I've started now with contractions at half 6 tonight after my second sweep this morning! They're lasting longer now but can come anything between 3-6 minutes still so trying to stay at home. Having a nice warm bath just to try and take the edge off them

@Onekidnoclue it was absolutely fine after I had the epidural 😉 I tried for a while with gas and air but really wasn’t for me lol xx

Update, no sign of baby all day yesterday. Took the paracetamol at 2.30am. It's not really helping. Contractions are getting stronger and some are 3 to 4 mins apart and others 10 minutes apart. But they are getting stronger. I really hope that today could be the day. This has been going on since Friday, its ridiculous. My 5th baby and longest latent labour ever !

I've barely slept with nerves and excitement, going in at 11:30.

So my contractions started at half 6pm...went into birth centre to be assessed at around 11pm. Was going to send me home as I was only 3cm but was given the choice to stay for an hr to see how things progress and luckily they allowed my partner in with me. I started to bleed a lot so she checked me again around 1am and I heard her say oh wow! 5cm dilated! They took me onto labour ward and by 02:30 my baby girl was born! FTM and wasn't expecting it to be so quick! I'm so grateful though as around midnight I honestly don't know how I would have carried on. Only had time for gas and air I asked for it all 😂and they just said keep taking deep breaths.

I am unsure if I am having contractions or just braxton hicks, been woken up now 3 times in an hour with quite uncomfortable tightening crampish and backache to the point I have to get out of bed and stand for a minute or so to be more comfortable..

I'm still at home. Contractions were ramping up and now have slowed down again. Was going to walk around the house and do some things. But am feeling incredibly sick and weak and nauseous. Baby is moving a lot and I am in a lot of pain in my down belows.
Really and truly fed up.
