@footprintsintheslow right back at you! Fanny daggers that is exactly what I have too. I've had a rubbish night don't feel well at all. TMI sorry but had a massive clear out so many he's close who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️

WhoUsedMyName · 27/12/2020 08:52

*maybe

Grumpy19 · 27/12/2020 08:57

36 + 4 here. 10 days till induction!!
I lost some jelly like discharge yesterday (sorry tmi) but not enough to be full on mucus plug. I'm hoping my body is limbering up though so that the induction is easier.

For those of you with older children, how are they feeling? Mine all seem to be a bit thrown by the induction date and are starting to get anxious. (They are 7, 9 and 10) We obviously keep reassuring them that all will be well, they will love their new brother, we will love them still etc etc but I'm anxious that they are anxious!

Grumpy19 · 27/12/2020 09:03

@WhoUsedMyName and @footprintsintheslow definitely sounds like things might be starting to get ready!! If I sit on my birthing ball, I get the most horrific fanny daggers when I stand up. It takes about a minute for me to stop staggering around like John Wayne! 😂🥴

footprintsintheslow · 27/12/2020 09:11

What are the fanny daggers? Feels like a punch?

@Grumpy19 how are you feeling about the induction? Can of your older children remember any of their siblings being born?

footprintsintheslow · 27/12/2020 09:12

@Grumpy19 should have said...

Can any of your older children remember their siblings being born?

WhoUsedMyName · 27/12/2020 09:35

Fanny daggers literally feel like someone shoved a dagger up my fanny!! Not a punch lol but they are sharp and quick

WhoUsedMyName · 27/12/2020 09:46

@Grumpy19 so mine are 13,10,9 & 6. I've done them all a goodie bag magazine/Xbox vouchers, sweets & drink etc and a little note in each one. X

WhoUsedMyName · 27/12/2020 10:23

Has anyone's BH completely stopped? I was having them all the time now I don't Confused

Grumpy19 · 27/12/2020 10:39

Thanks for the gift idea. I did think a card/letter and a small gift when baby is born might be a good idea but maybe need to do it earlier. The older ones can't remember my youngest being born so.

I would describe fanny daggers as a sharp pain shooting upwards. Definitely still having strong Braxton hicks.

ttcchapter1 · 27/12/2020 10:40

@WhoUsedMyName i have some days where i have none and then some days where i think I'm about to have this baby 🤣

Onekidnoclue · 27/12/2020 17:28

Hi everyone. Don’t know why I keep losing this thread. How exciting people are feeling close. I feel like I’m going to be pregnant and hating it forever. I’m utterly exhausted and so uncomfortable. Just want to be done but am in now way prepared for childbirth or the baby so probably best I don’t have him early.
I felt great last pregnancy and labour was dire! I’m knackered now and very worried about the birth as I just can’t face it! Am too tired!

Totally empathise @Onekidnoclue - I'm constantly torn between wanting this pregnancy done and wanting to keep baby cooking as long as possible. Been looking at threads about eating dates etc today but I have a big interview 11d before my due date and I'd rather do it v pregnant than with a newborn so I probably shouldn't do too much too encourage this along 😂

Can anyone give any recommendations re lactations teas/cookies etc. I didn't pay much heed to that last time and struggled (initially at least) - maybe no correlation at all but recipes/brand recommendations welcome!

footprintsintheslow · 27/12/2020 20:27

Maybe I'm not having fanny daggers after all.
I'm definitely not having BH though.

I've had a good old cry and emotional day today. I need to reboot and start again tomorrow.

WhoUsedMyName · 28/12/2020 12:57

@footprintsintheslow I feel your pain. I'm sooo tired all day and wide awake at night and it's taking it's toll hope you have a better day today x

Tink20058 · 28/12/2020 15:48

How’s everyone doing? I convinced myself I was in labour last night had the worse back ache imaginable was told at scan on Boxing Day she is back to back going in for a stretch and sweep 2 weeks today but midwife doesn’t think I will need it as she will be here 🤞🤞🤞 xx

Grumpy19 · 28/12/2020 16:09

I've woken up feeling horribly sick the last 4 nights. Don't feel like I've over done it on the food front though.
I'm trying to force myself to stay awake during the day or I'm wide awake at night!
9 days to go till induction 😬 would love to go naturally before that though! Clary sage, Raspberry tea, sex (if I can persuade DH lol) trying it all.

WhoUsedMyName · 28/12/2020 16:16

I had clary sage that smelt amazing I now have another one that stinks makes me feel sick 😷 how

WhoUsedMyName · 28/12/2020 16:17

@Grumpy19 my dh is still like a dog on heat I don't think I've had a break at all!
I've been drinking raspberry tea and taking the tablets for ages now I'm on my birthing ball like a crazy woman 13 days and counting till due date

Grumpy19 · 28/12/2020 16:47

@WhoUsedMyName I mix my clary sage with lavender in the bath and I love the smell.
How do you find standing up off your birthing ball. I seriously struggle to walk for about a minute after and always have to go for a wee!!

DH isn't overly keen on sex unfortunately. I think he thinks 9 days is quite soon enough but I keep telling him it's not him facing induction number 3!

WhoUsedMyName · 28/12/2020 17:00

Oh poor you I've never been induced so have no idea, yeah I struggle to walk getting up off anything you should see me getting out of bet I resemble a battle on its back

Onekidnoclue · 28/12/2020 18:14

Onekidnoclue · 29/12/2020 11:11
