198435years · 06/12/2020 23:27

Thank you. Can't see me getting much sleep. I'll let u know how we get on 😊 x

ttcchapter1 · 07/12/2020 00:44

@198435years good luck tomorrow.

Please do update us. I had a growth scan at 27 weeks and baby was 1016g (2pounds) and then another one last monday at 32 weeks and baby was 1672g (3.6pounds) so they were a little concerned that the baby wasn't putting on as much weight. I have another scan at 35 weeks (21 December). So have been slightly worried, and reading your post makes me feel like I might end up going down a similar route.

imabusybee · 07/12/2020 03:35

Grumpy19 · 07/12/2020 19:43

Evening everyone. I've got a weird stitch pain in my right hand side. Guessing it's just more ligament pain but I feel like I'm falling apart!
Back ache, stitch, constant BH! 😣 so tired and hormonal!

Grumble over x

Onekidnoclue · 07/12/2020 22:03

Grumble away @Grumpy1! That’s why we’re here. I’m huffing at everything like an old biddy. I can’t be arsed to move but then can’t get comfortable enough to rest properly so just in a circle of rage!

OP posts:
ttcchapter1 · 07/12/2020 22:44

@Onekidnoclue circle of rage is the most correct description 🤣

Grumpy19 · 07/12/2020 22:55

Oh yes, circle of rage sums it up!

I had to go in for a CTG yesterday for reduced fetal movements. Spent 3 hours there. They called me in again today for 2 hours. Have a doppler scan tomorrow.
The worst part in all of this was that I tripped and fell right on the main road outside the hospital after the CTG today. Badly hurt my knee trying to save the bump. Somehow dragged myself onto the pavement and called my husband (who was waiting for me in the car) to come and help me as it was impossible to walk. There I was on the pavement, crying my heart out (more due to the stress of this pregnancy and less for the pain) and bleeding from my knee. I couldn't stop crying for more than an hour. Feel so tired and just generally so tense. My induction date is booked for the 17th and it couldn't come soon enough. :/

MnM156 · 07/12/2020 23:14

P.S.: I am also just grumbling like @Grumpy19. Sorry...ignore me :(

Grumpy19 · 07/12/2020 23:34

@Mnm156 poor you!
Hope you are ok now. You are having such a stressful time you really need to be extra kind to yourself!

17th is not long now! I was induced 7 years ago on the 17th Dec and my DC3 arrived at 1am on the 18th.

I also fell over a few weeks ago - I think my blood pressure dropped as one moment I was upright the next I was flat on my back! It was awful as i too fell into the road outside my children's school. The mixture of pain and embarrassment was terrible!

Good luck with the scan tomorrow x

ttcchapter1 · 08/12/2020 01:24

@Grumpy19 a general question about inductions, does it have a higher chance of leading to a c section?

LiG123 · 08/12/2020 08:40

@ttcchapter1 in my case it did but I was before 40 weeks which I was told increases the chance

Onekidnoclue · 08/12/2020 08:51

Check out the bishop score. Depending on the score it could be more likely. X

@LiG123 @Onekidnoclue thank you, basically I've been told that if i was to have a c section I'd have to be put to sleep completely which is 1000% not what I want 😫 but with baby weighing slightly below at last scan an induction could be likely so wanted to know x

Grumpy19 · 08/12/2020 09:17

Hi @ttcchapter1 I think as onekid says it depends upon how ready your body is for labour and so a bishop's score would help you make a decision. In my experience, DC1 was 16 days late but my cervix was rock solid and he was back to back. In hindsight a planned C section would have been preferable to a very long induction followed by EMCS.
However, with DC3, even though it was earlier at 39 weeks, my body was ready and I had her on a low level drip within hours, no problems at all.
It really does depend. I would ask your midwife to examine you (I know not the nicest) and give you an idea of how ready you are so you can make an informed decision either way.
Xx

ttcchapter1 · 08/12/2020 09:29

@Grumpy19 thank you, thats helpful. From how many weeks do you think I should ask her to examine me? Im 34 currently.

LiG123 · 08/12/2020 09:35

@ttcchapter1 the hospital will know what's best. If baby or you will need help at all they'll either induce and monitor or just c section.

Go with the flow. If c section is needed but baby is better off then what will be will be.
Try not to worry

WhoUsedMyName · 08/12/2020 10:25

Morning ladies some of you are having a really hard time Thanks sending virtual hugs. I have physio app on the 10th over the phone?! How lol
I have a scan on the 14th & mw on the 15th so fingers crossed.
I am so uncomfortable now and miserable 😩

WhoUsedMyName · 08/12/2020 10:27

I completely obsessed with the smell of clary sage! I actually can't get enough of it

Grumpy19 · 08/12/2020 10:28

@ttcchapter1
Yes I agree with @LiG123 you need to listen carefully to the consultants advice as they are the experts.

I don't think a midwife would examine you earlier than 38 weeks without a consultant's permission.

I know it's super difficult but try to relax and not set your heart on one delivery option. You need to do what is safest for you and your baby and that is the most important thing. X
