@WhoUsedMyName I really liked the smell of clary sage but I've read lots about people hating it!
How many weeks are you? Are you using it in the bath? I wasn't convinced it helped when I tried it last time but might get some just for the nice smell.

WhoUsedMyName · 08/12/2020 10:34

I'm 35+2 I've heard a lot about people hating the smell too and also a lot that it actually didnt help but I just wanted to smell it really lol I've put in oil burner and also in a mist diffusers

LiG123 · 08/12/2020 10:47

I thought clary sage was 37 weeks + and never ever before?? Am I wrong???

I'm trying everything!!

WhoUsedMyName · 08/12/2020 10:53

It isn't advised before 37weeks I'm not using it in massage or bath just yet but I havnt heard anyone say it makes a difference regardless of how it's used. I don't think anything actually works baby's just come when they are ready. Some people swear by different remedies but I'm not convinced

Onekidnoclue · 08/12/2020 12:31

I’m 34 weeks and so bored of being pregnant but I don’t want a 2020 baby and I’m not convinced any of the ‘remedies’ do anything so will just be rubbing my bump and complaining to anyone who’ll listen for the foreseeable!

OP posts:
LiG123 · 08/12/2020 13:00

Not sure they work either I thought I was missing a pre 37 week trick 🤣

Sex apparently does 🤷🏻‍♀️

WhoUsedMyName · 08/12/2020 14:34

Anyone started eating dates yet?
This is no5 and i had never heard of clary sage or date eating before

WhoUsedMyName · 08/12/2020 14:34

@LiG123 think I'd rather stomach dates then sex 😂

Onekidnoclue · 08/12/2020 15:01

Tbh I think I’d rather most things than sex! This baby is so active all the time it freaky feeling him move while getting it on with DH.

MissHoney85 · 08/12/2020 15:05

I've started on the dates! A bit early (I think it's supposed to take about 4 weeks to have an effect so you're supposed to start from 36 weeks, I started at 34) but if this baby is going to be as big as they say then I thought that wouldn't hurt too much! I like dates anyway so it's no hardship Grin

MeganC104 · 08/12/2020 15:13

Has anyones appetite completely disappeared. A few weeks ago I couldn't stop eating and now I have to force myself to eat one meal a day. I tried to eat pasta for lunch today and ended up chucking most of it. I don't feel unwell really, I just feel like I'm already too full (with baby)

WhoUsedMyName · 08/12/2020 15:42

No I'm soooo greedy fat chance of me not eating 🐷
I don't actually mind dates but not somthing I would think to eat everyday unless covered in chocolate

oliveroses · 08/12/2020 19:01

I am eating everything in sight at the moment. It's ridiculous. It's also giving me incessant heartburn. Last night at 2am I poured gaviscon to drink it out of the cap and didn't turn the light on so it overflowed and I managed to douse the stuff all over my belly (and new Xmas nighty!)
Then this morning I was doing a sample for the mw at home to take in with me and I could not see what the hell was going on down there beyond my bump ... it's been a messy 24 hours 🤨

WhoUsedMyName · 08/12/2020 19:28

@oliveroses 😂I could have wrote that on a regular basis

pigletpie2177 · 08/12/2020 21:17

@oliveroses I could have written that post! I'm normally a full Hollywood girl and I have no idea what's going on down there nowadays 😂

I mentioned a deal I got on a hypnobirthing site for Black Friday - I assumed it was finished now but it's still advertised so posting a screenshot in case it's of interest to anyone. I'm jumping around the sessions a bit but she's very likeable. She has some free content on Instagram if you wanted to check that first

@WhoUsedMyName I've had two over the phone physio appointments and amazingly they were fantastic. Asked all the right questions and had me doing different movements and positions to see how much movement I have. But the bottoms line is for me they can't fix me really as the baby is causing my pain of horrific sciatica. I'm doing their exercises but that's all that can be done at this point.

I've never heard of clary sage or ayes doing anything. My midwife said the only scientifically proven thing is sperm 🤮.

@MeganC104 my appetite has gone and I'm eating small amounts often rather than my giant sized meals.

@pigletpie2177 thanks for the link. I think I'll look it up later.

As for me:
I've got shingles on top of sciatica and the consultant wanted to admit me yesterday for better pain relief but I just can't go in right now. H has a uni exam on Thursday and I can't leave him with a toddler on his own before his exam. So I'm home and then we reassess on Friday.

Placenta is definitely not in the way so vaginal birth for me.

It's fucking touch right now for everyone and I really wanted to bloom and feel
Like a sexy pregnant goddess. I don't.

WhoUsedMyName · 09/12/2020 09:21

Oh @footprintsintheslow bloody shingles too! You poor thing Thanks I feel the same where the hell is my glow!? Thanks for the heads up on physio I'm walking like a cowboy not a good look 👀

MeganC104 · 09/12/2020 09:31

@footprintsintheslow shingles! Oh my god. You must be so uncomfortable

I'm irritated cause I have this itchy rash which I've had for several weeks. Suspected puppp. They've tested me for the dangerous stuff and I'm fine, just really itchy. I just keep reapplying cream and praying it goes when the baby gets here but shingles, I feel really bad for you

Onekidnoclue · 09/12/2020 09:38

Shingles? On top of sciatica??? That’s super shitty @footprintsintheslow Hope DH appreciates you taking care of him rather than yourself. X

Onekidnoclue · 09/12/2020 09:39

Also. Totally agree on 🤮 factor with sperm. I feel so unsexy it’s not true. Just want personal space, to be comfortable and have a nap with snacking.

WhoUsedMyName · 09/12/2020 09:42

A nap with snacking 😂made me laugh.
Just want dh to do one so I can fill his side of the bed with snacks 😂

footprintsintheslow · 09/12/2020 10:18

@MeganC104 it's not a fungal thing is it? I've had thrush under my breast where it now meets my bump...I get all the best things!!!

Thanks for all the commiserations it's really shit but it could be loss worse and I'm able
To be up and about in the daytime so trying to keep moving. The big concern is avoiding a clot. I'd never even considered a clot before they mentioned it and the was convinced I had one all night! I'm over it now though.

If I go into hospital they'll want me on pain killers and up and about moving a lot. That's my life at home with a toddler so I didn't see the difference other than more chance of catching Covid in hospital.

MeganC104 · 09/12/2020 10:52

@footprintsintheslow yes I think it possibly is thrush as had a horrendous case of thrush down below 2 weeks ago. I'ts cleared up but I tried using the cream on my chest and didn't seem to make a difference. Not sure if I need another cream because I know I cant take the oral pill while pregnant

Grumpy19 · 09/12/2020 10:59

@footprintsintheslow and @MeganC104 you poor things. Itching is terrible. Touch wood I have not had thrush this time but for my first 3 DC it was one of my first pregnancy symptoms and it lasted months each time! I didn't really believe I was pregnant this time when I didn't have thrush!

Re sperm, I am randy as anything 😂😂😳 it's my poor husband who's totally put off by sex!
I was in hospital last week for reduced movement and I over heard a midwife suggesting sex to a lady who was trying to avoid an induction so it does seem to be more reliable than most methods!

footprintsintheslow · 09/12/2020 11:14

@MeganC104 I'll send a picture tire of what I've been prescribed as it has cleared it up
