Thanks all. I do feel like I'm on the mend, it just might be a slow process!

@pugprincess I'm not actually sure about my temp as I didnt have a thermometer the first day when it was worst. The next day the highest it measured was 38. I dont blame you, I think if I was offered the choice I would also wfh after 28wks but I dont think my LA are allowing it. Not sure it would make a difference if a midwife/consultant actually said I should. We will see!

@ew1990 I was also very scared of catching it ironically 🙈 I suppose the thing to remember is that most people are not that ill with it and so hopefully you would be fine. The head of the antenatal clinic said to me on the phone they've had plenty of women with it- some have only found out through routine testing and have had no symptoms and others have been pretty poorly.

@skyBlue20 I love how much you've been buying!! I still haven't braved buying anything yet but we have a virtual pram shopping appointment over zoom on Friday. Sorry if I said this in my earlier post🙈 I honestly don't know whether to blame covid brain or baby brain now🤣

Bumps look beautiful 😍😍 when I'm feeling more human and actually put some proper clothes on, I will also take an updated photo!

DanceM1 · 11/11/2020 22:05

@lollol86 I meant to say how lovely is your midwife! That must have been so reassuring for you!

Lollol86 · 11/11/2020 22:32

@DanceM1 thank you, I felt a bit silly after. I think it's because I'd finally admitted and spoke out about how I was feeling. I woke up Monday morning and honestly thought that was it so had that in my head. All ok though feeling more positive, for now anyway xx

Pugprincess · 12/11/2020 00:03

@Lollol86 my midwifes offered to do the same for me heartbeat wise as she knows my anxiety. Tempted to go Monday when she’s in or maybe she would see me quick tomorrow (she’s only in those two days) I know thurs is usually her phone app days though. @SkyBlue20 like you I’m not feeling constant movement and not sure if it’s made worse by the wind. Midwife did tell me not to worry as they are still small and have loads of room so can go quiet. I feel twitches which I think might be kicks but not had the long flutters I got at first for awhile now to be honest 😔 I felt wriggles forever first time a few nights back while eating which was lovely. Just want to feel more definitive movements for reassurance which is why I maybe should ask midwife but what if she can’t find heartbeat I would freak out.

I’ve been taking weekly bump pics purposely in the same jumper (I tried bare belly but my back fat looked horrendous lol)

@Pugprincess definitely contact her if you are feeling concerned. The baby can also love a lot as this stage so maybe in a different position which means you may feel less movement.
Your bump is growing lovely cx

Pugprincess · 12/11/2020 08:28

@Lollol86 thank you ❤️ I felt some kicks this morn in bed so feel a bit happier. Getting on with some cleaning and desperate to do my car as it’s dry weather today lol then rain next 3 days. I have a white car that’s no longer white 🤦🏼‍♀️ Plan to carefully pull hose through to front and spray car so I avoid carrying buckets of water. And then il just gently wipe some soap on a sponge and rinse off with hose. Sounds reasonably safe right?? X

Pugprincess · 12/11/2020 08:30

I feel things just below my belly button now and lower down in abdomen still. Assuming baby is kind of upright so hands and feet. I bet it if faces my back I don’t feel so much but if it turns to face my belly I bet I feel more then, does that make sense? X

Pugprincess · 12/11/2020 08:32

My app shows it to be like this

Lovely bump pics ladies! 💕
Is it normal to not have a consistent bump at nearly 16w? By night time I look much bigger but I know its just bloat, and people at work have started to say they can see a little bump but I honestly feel like it's all bloat as I can hold most of it in. I felt like I was starting to feel little flutters over the weekend and earlier this week which was so nice, but then didn't feel anything yesterday. I know it's so early and I have an anterior placenta so wouldn't expect anything early but it's so hard not to worry 🤦‍♀️

Lollol86 · 12/11/2020 09:32

@Pugprincess yea that seems safe, I've never had a white car for that reason 😂😂.
Yea that makes total sense as baby will then be kicking the front xx

@JoJo58995 is it your first baby? Xx

SkyBlue20 · 12/11/2020 09:51

@Pugprincess My movements are quite sporadic, too - she tends to move mostly in the evenings or when I first wake up and not much in between, but it ranges from loads of quite hard kicks to just a couple of really light nudges. It can be worrying but I really do think it can just depends on their position at the time. When I was really worried the other day, I downloaded the kicks count app and just spent maybe 20mins in bed in the morning noting down whenever I could feel her, even lightly, and recorded 11 movements, which really reassured me - if you'd asked, I'd have said I'd felt her maybe three or four times.Baby will get in to their routine, I'm sure - try not to worry too much but don't hesitate to call your midwife if you are.
Your bump looks lovely - I admire that you thought about taking a pic in the same outfit every week. I have been taking regular pics but most of them in my underwear and that's not really something anyone else needs to see 😂 I did, however, take one in clothes this morning to share - one sec, need to get it off my phone!

SkyBlue20 · 12/11/2020 09:53

Bump at 22+5 ☺️ (HOW am I almost 23 weeks already?! 😵)

@Lollol86 yes first baby xx

Lollol86 · 12/11/2020 10:09

@JoJo58995 that's definitely normal not to have a bump, honestly don't worry you will get one 🙂 xx

Pugprincess · 12/11/2020 10:44

@JoJo58995 Yh everyone carries differently, I’ve been bloated from the beginning and bigger at night still too. My friend is further than me and I’m bigger lol. She’s really slim and I’m not so lol.

@SkyBlue20 thanks and you made me giggle 🤭 xx

Pugprincess · 12/11/2020 10:45

Someone actually asked me if I’m due in January 😱😂😂😂 good thing I don’t easily offend

JoJo58995 · 12/11/2020 11:33

@Lollol86 and @Pugprincess thank you, I hope so! Some days I feel more positive than others. I finally caved and popped the work scanner on last week with DH and could see baby wriggling around which was so reassuring 💕 but it was my sister in law's funeral this week so it's been an emotional time and DH's family are all so focused on the baby for positivity that I've had a bit of a wobble and feeling more anxious again today. 16w scan on sunday so just counting down to that....🤞

Starfish762 · 12/11/2020 11:47

Aww such lovely bump pics ladies!

@JoJo58995 with DD I had no bump AT ALL for a long time. I’ll attach a pic of my bump at 24 weeks (Im bigger now at 10.5 weeks 😂). I went to a wedding at 30 weeks & it was still just about noticeable then, a few people were looking but clearly didn’t want to ask coz it was still not obvious. Everyone said I was lucky but I know how worrying it is when others have big bumps. I did pop eventually all of a sudden! DD was born healthy & well despite tiny bump. My friend had a HUGE bump & her baby was tiny. It honestly means nothing try not to worry.

Has anyone suffered with this horrible pain in their right side? It brings tears to my eyes when it twinges, I can't sit down properly, can't lie down properly. Walking up and down the stairs hurts like hell. But I'm managing normal life, it just hurts a lot.
I can't get hold of my midwife, 111 online just said I needed to ring an ambulance and Google keeps telling me it's appendicitis, but it's in the wrong place for that...
I don't think it's bad enough to require an ambulance, that just seems silly. But I am worried about how much it hurts. Right now, nothing there, the moment I move, it hurts like hell... so confused.

Pugprincess · 12/11/2020 12:06

@RosieJess91 could it be round ligament pain? Is it sharp stab? Where abouts on your side? My midwife tells me to call community midwives number anytime I need advice or worse case maternity unit at hospital. X

RosieJess91 · 12/11/2020 12:09

@Pugprincess it's not round ligament pain, I've been dealing with that all week. This is crazy, it's really sharp, right on my hip bone, when I sit or stand or walk. After a few steps it's ebbs away and then it'll come back. It hurts as I sit down, then leaves and then if I move my legs or move to the side, back to sharp pain again.

Workingmama1 · 12/11/2020 12:11

@RosieJess91 how far down is the pain? I've been getting terrible sciatic pain, mainly on my left. Its kind of where my back and bum meet, and sometimes its more of a shooting pain. If it hurts when you move and up and down the stairs it could be that as it can be triggered be movement. I'm currently sat with a hot water bottle which is doing nothing to ease the pain, I'm walking like a cripple. Back pain could also be your kidneys, have you been checked for a UTI recently? If it is really bad you could try triage?

Workingmama1 · 12/11/2020 12:12

Just read what you wrote above @RosieJess91, sounds like it could be sciatic pain

RosieJess91 · 12/11/2020 12:29

@workingmama1 my midwife just called back and said she thinks it's that as well. Said to keep a pillow between my knees when asleep and take paracetamol and think about getting a support belt!
Thank you

Workingmama1 · 12/11/2020 13:23

@RosieJess91 you can also ask to be referred to a physio, although apparently round here they are only doing phone appointments. With my daughter I had acupuncture which helped slightly, but apparently manual manipulation may be required so I think I'm going to try to go private and find a womens health specialist who is still operating
