Hi I’m 4 weeks and 3 days today I have noticed a little bit of brownish spotting when I wiped after a wee, has this happened to any one else

Bdbel · 24/10/2020 23:19

@Natalya2020 hi Natalya, I think we are at the same stage and the same happened to me today. I’ve been worried too. I’m hoping seen as we are at the same stage, this is normal xx

Dublindolly · 25/10/2020 00:04

@angc30 that’s so strange but I think you might be on to something with the cat thing. Our neighbours have a cat but since a few months she comes visiting us for a pet (we have never fed her). Now she comes twice daily for a pet and sat on the window meowing at my until I caved into her. She definitely is being clingy and it’s not even our cat!!

Natalya2020 · 25/10/2020 00:40

Hi sorry to hear this has happened to you as well, but maybe it is normal, I have read up and it’s saying not to worry it can happen, congratulations to u

Flowerbudd · 25/10/2020 09:18

@Bdbel Hey! Congratulations Smile aw, they say spotting is very common so try not to worry.

I have woken up this morning feeling fine, it worry's me that I feel so ok? I'm 4+3 so I know it's so early still but I'm just being an anxious Annie over here :( I still have sore boobs and a bit of a metallic taste in my mouth but cramping has really stopped.
I realise how silly this sounds 🙈 my OH is like please stop worrying but it's my first time and of course it's a worry.

One day at a time 😊

Iloveoreos · 25/10/2020 09:31

@flowerbudd
Can totally relate to worrying. Husband told me off too 😂
Btw ladies..im 14dpo today and i still havent got a very strong line. Used clear blue today .line very very noticeable from afar and it came up literally within a min. When do we get the strong dark line which is dark like test line? Is it too early for that?

Flowerbudd · 25/10/2020 09:42

@Iloveoreos 😂 ahh bless you, they're so chilled but it is different when you're the one going through it. (Love your name btw, Oreos for the win)
It totally depends when you ovulated but I got strong lines on 12DPO and a darker test line on 15DPO but everyone's is so so different :)

Garman · 25/10/2020 10:13

It doesn't matter how dark the line is, a line is a line. On my first I got a dark line like the control line at 7 weeks. On my chemical pregnancy I got a definite line the day af was due and then my period started hours later. Once you have a positive stop testing for your own sanity Smile

Mctm123 · 25/10/2020 10:39

Hi ladies can I join please? I am 4+3 today after an Ivf cycle. I am an anxious mess as I have had 3 miscarriages in the last year but we are blessed with a naturally conceived little boy who’s 5 now. We’ve been trying since him so this is a much wanted pregnancy which we desperately want to go to full term. I’ve had sore boobs, tiredness and hunger with the odd bit to nausea then today it’s completely stopped and I woke up at 5 with cramps but no bleeding. I am so scared as in some of the past pregnancies I have bled today. The cramping has stopped now it kind of felt like mild contractions then turned to a dull ache. I went back to bed and slept for an hour and it seems better now? Anyone had similar? Xx

Bdbel · 25/10/2020 11:30

Ladies it feels like everyone is anxious in the first few weeks. I’m so glad I found this site!

@Flowerbudd thank you 😊 and I keep checking symptoms too!! I think I feel my boobs every ten mins to check they still hurt! When I woke this morning I they weren’t sore and that sent me in to another worry!!! It looks like everyone on here Is having the same thoughts! I’m hoping that after a few weeks we can all just relax and know that this is all normal xx

Iloveoreos · 25/10/2020 11:35

Yes i think i totally agree. I made myself sick and nauseated with stress yesterday. Idiot me decided to do a test in the evening with a very very diluted pee and obviously the result was a very faint line. Ended up 🤮 a few hrs later. Then i tried again this morning and it was not very dark but definately way stronger than yesterdays. I think ill stop testing now. Running out of tests too 🤣
Sunbird24 · 25/10/2020 11:35

I did the official test that the clinic gave me this morning and the line was so faint I thought I had to be imagining it, which was pretty worrying. Cheapie dip test has confirmed we’re still in with a shout though! Annoying how different tests can have such different sensitivity levels. If I hadn’t tried any others I’d be telling the clinic this cycle hadn’t worked and stopping the progesterone, which would have probably meant it would have stopped anyway!

From this site ive realised everyone is different. Ive not noticed any change in boobs or soreness yet.

On a separate note, ladies what are your thoughts in going away in 1st trimester? Bad idea? Has anyone spoken to doc/midwife about something like this yet?

Flowerbudd · 25/10/2020 12:12

@Mctm123 Hey, a massive congratulations 😊 I haven't had similar, however reading people's comments it does appear to be very common. I hope your feeling a bit better now.

@Bdbel 😂 yes the boob touching!!

@Iloveoreos Oh you poor thing, it's so easily done isn't done, worrying so much. Hope you're ok and the diluted wee would have caused that.
I think you'd be ok In going away, is it in the uk still? (If you're uk based) just take it easy if you need to and I'm sure it will be fine :)

@Sunbird24 Tests are so different aren't they? It's good you got a positive, fingers crossed it sticks for you and definitely continue with the progesterone

Garman · 25/10/2020 12:12

It's fine to go away in the first trimester, u less you're feeling particularly rubbish and not up to it. I went to France at 11-12 weeks on my first, best idea ever! Because holidays are never the same again lol.

It's so interesting hearing everyone mentioning sore boobs being a sign, that's never ever been a symptom for me! They don't change or hurt at all the entire way through pregnancy. The range of symptoms really is so huge and varied isn't it.

Iloveoreos · 25/10/2020 12:20

@flowerbudd was thinking of going to turkey 🙄 now im thinking whether to skip it or not because as @garman said it will never be the same again .

Since i have long cycles any last 3 cycles were really funny dates..33 then 52 then 33 then the longest one ever which is this one..i am sure im only 4 or 5 weeks whereas midwife thinks im further!! 😂 so i guess have to get that sorted first. She did say scan will determine accurate one so lets see .

Iloveoreos · 25/10/2020 12:21

And yes im based in UK..

Natalya2020 · 25/10/2020 12:41

Hey yes try to stop worrying, I’m feeling fine today thank god 😊

Bellabubble · 25/10/2020 12:43

Hello ladies - can I join? I’m currently 6+5 weeks, 2nd pregnancy this year (I had a missed mc in feb) so I’m feeling really anxious. I booked a private scan for 2 weeks time, although I’m wishing I had booked an earlier scan now as I’m symptom spotting like a hawk and panicking if things change - even though I know that symptoms can be completely different and in varying strengths from day to day!

Flowerbudd · 25/10/2020 12:53

@Iloveoreos Ah Turkey! Amazing, if I'm honest I'm such a worrier I probably wouldn't especially with Covid but there's no right or wrong answer, you do exactly what you feel is right for you both. It would be nice to get one last holiday just the two of you though

@Natalya2020 glad to hear you're feeling ok :)

@Bellabubble Hey 😊😊 congrats! Sorry to hear about your MMC. I've got an early scan booked for 9 weeks but tempted to do one at 6 just to make sure everything's where it should be :)

Bdbel · 25/10/2020 12:55

After doing yet another test to check my indicator still says 2-3 weeks I am now going to try and act like a normal person!! 🤣

@bellabubble huge congratulations, I am sure you will be totally fine. But I think having been through a mc before it definitely makes you more anxious. I’ve been a wreck but I’m feeling more reassured heading some of the comments on here xx

Bellabubble · 25/10/2020 13:42

@Flowerbudd I was tempted for a 6 week one too - but you don’t always get a strong enough heartbeat at a 6 week scan, and I want to make shre I have the best chance of seeing that. My last pg didn’t progress past 5+4, and I’m a huuuuuge overthinker, so I decided to go for 8 weeks as I’d hopefully see more than when the scanned me for the mmc. It hasn’t stopped me panicking though lol!

@Bdbel I did the clear blue digital indicator that said 2-3weeks when it should have said 3+ (although I then read lots of posts on mumsnet where it gave wrong weeks to ladies and their pregnancy was fine ) so I made the decision to walk away from poas lol - although it still plays on my mind!

Namechange8471 · 25/10/2020 14:11

Bdbel

My midwife says she hates the clear blue conception indicators beacuse they're always wrong!

Bellabubble · 25/10/2020 14:36

@Namechange8471 this makes me feel so much better and reassured!!

Flowerbudd · 25/10/2020 14:40

@Bellabubble I totally get that, Im so in 2 minds as well. Want to be able to see the most as well Smile

Yeah i have heard mixed reviews with the CB week ones.
