@now2boysmummy I’ve been thinking about you but when I went to write your @ it didn’t come up so thought maybe you had changed it, so happy for you!! 🥰😆

NaomiB79 · 14/10/2020 12:52

@now2boysmummy so lovely to hear from you I was thinking about you earlier!

Sounds like Wyatt is doing amazing, must be so lovely to all be home and be settling in to being all together now, so pleased he's doing so well must be such a relief!

Take care xx

peachypetite · 14/10/2020 12:58

@@Kj1010 just to say milk is not recommended for heart burn and scan actually make it worse!!

Kj1010 · 14/10/2020 14:26

@now2boysmummy wow brilliant news so happy for use and that wyatt is doing amazing @peachypetite my midwife and doctor recommended and it has been fine apart from a few days gotta say it's really calmed down again so I'm happy at that .well have had a very long nap today came in from work at 7.30am was asleep by 8.30 9 and woke up like 30 mins ago must be needed lol

Jwl45 · 14/10/2020 14:48

@now2boysmummy What wonderful news! So glad that little Wyatt is all settled in with you all at home.

I seem to be having a lot of hiccups at the moment (at least I think they're hiccups!) And these huge movements across tummy and low down .... Which at times, really hurt. The leg cramps seem to have gotten better during the night though so that's all good. Although saying that, the dreaming is another story!!! Madness!

kkr168 · 14/10/2020 15:19

@now2boysmummy What a lovely update, great news that you are all home together now.

Health visitor was here for over an hour, it was basically form filling, medical history, went over breast/bottle feeding, safe sleeping, etc.

Kj1010 · 14/10/2020 15:23

@kkr168 in all my pregnancies I've never had a health visitor visit me before the baby was born how strange but maybe things have changed I mean last child I had was 12 years ago lol

kkr168 · 14/10/2020 15:31

@Kj1010 My sons 17 so all new to me to, she said its something they have been doing it most areas for a while now. It does make sense doing it before though, I wouldn't fancy going through the questions & paperwork, etc with a new born baby.

Kj1010 · 14/10/2020 15:45

@kkr168 ahh yeah true

Asianchick6693 · 14/10/2020 16:50

Just had a letter come through the post today too. It says the health visitor would like to visit me between 9:30-2:30pm when I am 36 weeks pregnant. Is this how long the appointment will be??? Do I need to ring up and get a specific time? 5 hours seems like a lot of time to be waiting around for her visit!

kkr168 · 14/10/2020 17:05

@Asianchick6693 It wouldn't hurt to call & ask for a specific time, mine was at a set time & lasted just over 1 hour

Jellycat2020 · 14/10/2020 18:40

@LookForTheGood I'm reading Siobhan's Hypnobirthing book too and (hopefully!) finding it very useful! I can probably accept 95% of it and I do feel more confident about the whole process than before.

However I tried perineal massage for the first time yesterday and it really wasn't comfortable so now I'm worried about that part and tearing! 😣

Pink15 · 14/10/2020 21:22

@Jellycat2020 I'm doing the video version! She actually has a whole video about tearing and explains why literally no woman will tell you tearing is painful as it comes at the same time as delivery which causes a flood of happy hormone oxytocin as you see your baby for first time so massive distraction you won't feel it :)

peachypetite · 15/10/2020 10:35

Anyone else in London? Just had a little cry that we are moving to tier 2. I’m so worried what kind of state things will be in by the time the baby is here.

Bluebell2020 · 15/10/2020 10:39

@peachypetite I'm in greater Manchester and look like we are about to go into tier 3 🙈

peachypetite · 15/10/2020 10:41

This is such a shit time to be heavily pregnant

Nic2908 · 15/10/2020 11:15

@peachypetite we are in Liverpool area and under tier 3. Its a horrible time, its the uncertainty of it all. I just try to find something positive in everyday which sounds silly but necessary. I also don't allow myself to sit and watch BBC news all day as that just scares the crap out of me even more.

31 week appointment today. Fingers crossed all is well. I've had headaches all week 😫 😩 😪 😞 🙃 😕 which is unusual for me so hoping that is nothing.

peachypetite · 15/10/2020 11:33

Can cope with not going to restaurants etc but it will be if even mum isn’t allowed round! Argh!!

NaomiB79 · 15/10/2020 11:47

I'm in Scotland and as things stand no-one is allowed in my house which means our parents are not allowed to come round and meet the baby when she arrives 😢. I'm not so bothered about not having a constant stream of visitors but I want our parents and our siblings to meet the baby when she's here!

I'm so fed up with all the restrictions I'm just praying they don't make any changes to the labour / visiting rules for my DP between now and when she arrives.

december2020 · 15/10/2020 11:52

I work in London (currently WFH) but live in Essex, who are (apparently) the only county in the UK asking the government to be put into Tier 2 (probably as they're hoping to get the funding).

Meh! We were finally about to have the in laws round for the first time this year in a few weeks time.

Kj1010 · 15/10/2020 12:04

Yes I'm classed as london bloody joke this all is I pretty peed off as if we stay like this for a while I cant go see my mum who has cancer and I havent seen her for nearly 8 weeks as I work in school so was waiting till maternity leave self isolate then go see her but wont happen if this carrys on also sort of getting used to the fact that ppl ain't gonna be able to see my little man once his here in part quite relieved about that tbh as oh side very over bearing just want to hold touch etc which I dont like only bothered that my parents wont either as for the whole labour part just going day by day all you can do and it's pointless getting yourself in a state over it we cant change what will be unfortunately but hoping when time comes our partners can be there all way through I had my 32 week midwife appointment little man still breech but they arent concerned at all said still time for him to turn and have gave me a site to go on by 36 weeks if he hasn't moved round to help move him which she said is a very good site and works in most women they are very happy with his growth etc they reckon he will be around same weight as my girl was which is 7lb.5 hearing his heart beat was so reassuring aswell also had health visitor ring wanted to have appointment over phone there and then but I was shopping so ment to be ringing back stated to get flickering pains in boobs aswell spoke to midwife she thinks it's the milk etc as it calmed down for a few months now started up again they feel very heavy and tender to

Nic2908 · 15/10/2020 12:05

I haven't seen my parents properly in a long time. Its so sad isn't it. I have decided that mum and dad are allowed (my inlaws are abroad) once the baby is here but the must have isolated themselves for 2 weeks prior and they are happy to do that. So they are going to be isolating from 1st December. I'm hoping that maybe something might have been lifted by then in terms of two house bubbles again but who knows. Feels like coronovirus has taken so much from us.

Kj1010 · 15/10/2020 12:05

@december2020 I'm essex to what part if u dont mind me asking

Hapy001 · 15/10/2020 12:19

Hi everyone. Am new in this forum but glad to be here. Had an ET on 15th of September 2020. My PT was +ve after the 2ww. I had waited for 22 long years before this success story. However, I don't feel the usual symptoms of pregnancy. Is this normal? Can someone please share any likely experience?
Thank you

december2020 · 15/10/2020 12:56

@Kj1010 I'm in Chelmsford, where are you based?
