Thank you @Asianchick6693 :)

I’ve been having liver function tests throughout pregnancy since a bit of itching at like 22 weeks. It’s been a bit high last few weeks and went higher last week so back again tomorrow and they may do a liver scan. Stressing me out after going on google and looking at stories with fatty liver and pregnancy (not a good idea) Just want her here so I won’t worry about this liver stuff no more, hopefully nothings wrong or they find out the cause is in good time 😖

Asianchick6693 · 13/10/2020 18:10

@Babyhope98 it's good they're monitoring so if anything was wrong, no one is in the dark and they will know the best way to manage the rest of your pregnancy. Try not to stress but I know it's easier said than done. Plus side also, not long left until baby's here either so hopefully you're fine. Fingers crossed for you :)

Babyhope98 · 13/10/2020 18:20

I’ve only been having blood tests so I’m going to insist I want the scan tomorrow I think to put my mind ease. 🤗 @Asianchick6693

Think babies starting to go up to my ribs now anyone getting like an pushing pain under them? I think it is wind sometimes too 😂

Kj1010 · 13/10/2020 18:23

My heart burn has come on with a vengeance since yesterday have drank so much milk today rennies dry bread etc and not really touching it along with the uncomfortable sleeping and constant peeing at night dunno how I'm functioning also had to look at me book forgot how many weeks I am lmao and to top it off I have come over feeling shitty

Pinktruffle · 13/10/2020 18:28

I'm having that as I type @Babyhope98! The baby has been doing it all day, which is interesting as yesterday the consultant said baby was bum down/breech. It still seems to do a lot of spinning round but boy do I know about it when its doing it now.

Asianchick6693 · 13/10/2020 18:36

@Babyhope98 my baby has been head down for weeks? I thought she would have changed positions but literally every scan since or midwife appointment they tell me she's been head down lmao and she shifts from the left to right when I change positions in bed. I'm getting more used to her movements now. She also gets hiccups after I eat! It just seems like that's all she does these days.

@Kj1010 sorry to hear you're having such a tough time. I've been up at night too constantly needing a pee. I'm lucky being off work atm and just napping throughout the day.

Babyhope98 · 13/10/2020 18:40

Yes her movements are so strong now! It’s nice movement tracking wise as I’m always feeling her now because she’s so big. She is head down but I feel her bum so strong pushing up and out under my ribs 😂 @Pinktruffle

Babyhope98 · 13/10/2020 18:44

Yeah she’s head down but it’s her bum pushing up, I’ve had her having more hiccups too. I read apparently it means they’re getting ready for breathing. I’m hoping she stays head down now as she was breech until a couple of weeks ago. They’re getting ready to come, bless 🥰@Asianchick6693

Pinktruffle · 13/10/2020 18:48

Haha see I think mine is a foot or an elbow @Babyhope98 but I guess it could be anything! At the same time I feel like its tapping me on the bladder. I'd love to see whats going on in there!

peachypetite · 13/10/2020 18:59

I have no idea what way baby is facing but I will definitely be asking at my scan next week!

Babyhope98 · 13/10/2020 19:03

I remember when she was breach she use to really hurt my bladder sometimes and when I walked it felt like something was going to fall out, use to make me have a bit of incontinence too. I would love to know too, in my scan she was head down with her feet in-front of her face god knows how that’s comfortable lol😂 @Pinktruffle

Babyhope98 · 13/10/2020 19:12

Heartburn is the worst, I find gaviscon much better than rennies maybe try that? @Kj1010

excitednerves · 13/10/2020 19:33

@danielasummer on heating up breast milk I either just put the little pouch or the bottle into boiling water for a few minutes. My DS has never been fussy though and will drink milk straight from the fridge, easy with formula, breast milk (well mine anyway) gets a little fatty/creamy layer on top like whole milk so it needs a little shaking or warming up.

Kj1010 · 13/10/2020 19:47

Really dont like gaviscon its calmed down now I've drank like 2 pints lol at my scan last week was told he is breech at moment might be why I need loo loads then hoping by next scan his moved positions and in right position lol really dont want c section even tho he is more active my partner still cant feel him really but when ever I say his moving g n oh puts hands there etc he stops lol just dont think he wants daddy to feel him yet

danielasummer · 14/10/2020 08:40

@excitednerves @LookForTheGood thank you, think I will pass on the bottle warmer then and just go for the bowl of boiling water!

Hope everyone is feeling ok. Sorry to those of you that have bad heartburn - I have that too sometimes which makes me feel really sick :( BUUUUT not long now ladies!! I'm literally so excited. 32 weeks today, so at some point within the next 10 weeks I will DEFINITELY be holding my baby, which is mad. x

peachypetite · 14/10/2020 09:34

I’ve had bad heartburn too this week! But today seems okay so far thankfully. Is anyone else starting to feel quite anxious at the thought of how the baby is going to come out Sad. I don’t think it helps that I don’t know what’s going on with my placenta. If I find out it’s moved I’ll definitely look into doing the positive birth company’s course for labour.

LookForTheGood · 14/10/2020 09:54

Third trimester always seem long and exhausting but it will be over soon. However the last month literally feels like a 100 years!

Weirdly with heartburn I’ve noticed if I sleep on my left it’s not as bad, as soon as I turn to my right side it’s awful! And yes I find gaviscon (Tesco’s own because I prefer the taste... and cheaper!) better than Rennies but rennies is easier to carry around during the day, and less discreet than just chugging at the bottle like I do at night 😂

@peachypetite can’t recommend positive birth company enough! I was worried at the beginning because had conflicting information about must have a c section or go VBAC. But after reading the book “Siobhan Miller - Hypnobirthing” Etc I’ve felt totally empowered by my birth experience - and weirdly looking forward to it no matter the outcome of how labour progresses etc. It’s not as hippie as one is led to believe either 🙂

Babyhope98 · 14/10/2020 10:30

Anyone else getting period pains? It’s like under my bump and lower back. I have been noticing them coming and going the last few days nothing too strong but like just before you come on your period pain 🥴

kkr168 · 14/10/2020 11:14

@Babyhope98 yes I've had this a couple of times, I've put it down to stretching pains.

I have the health visitor popping round today, has anyone else had a visit yet?

peachypetite · 14/10/2020 11:22

@kkr168 I got a call from them and when she realised it was 3 days before my 28 week milestone she said she couldn’t do the paperwork. Nobody has called me back since then!

Asianchick6693 · 14/10/2020 11:53

@Babyhope98 I had these period pains last week, triage said to take a warm bath if it happens and pain relief if you want. Saw midwife that day too and she said it's most likely ligament pain, baby is continuing to get bigger.

Gosh girls I had a stressful night yesterday, had to go in with reduced movements as she hadn't moved for a good 5 nearly 6 hours. Usually when I eat or drink she is kicking and poking, you can see her movements too but yesterday I had nothing.

Took me 2 hours to get seen, they were busy and what was worse they had me and hubby waiting in the car when it would have been easier to send us home 😭. Anyway everything was good, she finally decided to wake up around 11 and start kicking. She's been regular in her movements since but they want to do daily CTGs until I have another scan. So exhausting. Bless my OH we got home at 2am and he had to be up at 5:45 for work :( felt awful.

peachypetite · 14/10/2020 12:22

Oh god I spoke to soon about the heartburn. At what point did you contact GP to get something better than Gaviscon?

peachypetite · 14/10/2020 12:22

Too*

now2boysmummy · 14/10/2020 12:22

Hey all it's -nearlyamummyto2boys - I've changed my name lol!

Just to update we brought Wyatt home on Wednesday at 19 days old which is amazing as he was technically only 34+3!
He is doing amazing and feeding so much he weighed 4lb8 when we left the hospital and seems to be growing so much. We are in the highest Covid risk area in the country which is super scary for midwives visits and all the hospital appointments- they're will be a lot!

His big brother is being amazing with him and I forgot how easy newborns are after having a 1 year old - it's definetely a lot harder with 2 though!

Sorry to everyone having a rough time!

Just to say we have the Chico next to me and I love it! We also have the sleepy head and I think it's great for Wyatt as he's so small I wouldn't be sure about it with a bigger baby!
Also Wyatt is nearly growing out of Tiny Baby clothes so unless you know your having a really small baby under 5lb I wouldn't bother with that size!
Love to all x

Babyhope98 · 14/10/2020 12:31

Oh bless you @Asianchick6693 glad all was well x
Haven’t heard anything at all from health visitor lol @kkr168 assumed I’d see her once she’s here x

Had my appointment today about the liver and they said my scan would be in three weeks depending on backlog by that time she’ll nearly be here lol. Doesn’t make sense to me. Hopefully the liver blood test results are better this week and I won’t worry so much about what’s going on, but my results have been higher the last few weeks so don’t know why they didn’t refer me before 🙄
