Just having a wee look at the list. Wonder how many boys and girls we will end up with? Xx

Mrsi2020 · 07/10/2020 21:59

Woohoo xx

zippityzip · 08/10/2020 07:19

@mrsmummy1111

Ah little bump!!!! So cute. Is that a four poster bed I spy?!?!

mrsmummy1111 · 08/10/2020 07:25

@Busybee143 I'm 15+2 today and my bump mate here @zippityzip is 15+1 today!

@zippityzip HA! Technically yes but it's nowhere near as posh as it sounds.

But if you do ever pop in for tea I'm sure Jeeves could fetch us some tea in the drawing room in the west wing then we could take you on a tour of the main wing. (Semi detached in Bromley)

mrsmummy1111 · 08/10/2020 07:27

I was thinking that @Catherinettc. Statistically we are due a ๐Ÿ’— I think. Who's gender scan is next girls?

zippityzip · 08/10/2020 07:31

@mrsmummy1111 @Catherinettc I've had two girls so I'll probably end up with a third ๐Ÿ˜‚ although I would be chuffed with that. And chuffed with a boy. So either way ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

@mrsmummy1111 Haha most definitely. Although I don't drink tea so we can wait until the babies are born and make it wine?! It's funny I'm five mins from you and I've worked in Bromley for the last 12 years we may have already met ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Bl0ndi3 · 08/10/2020 08:32

@zippityzip your bump is ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

zippityzip · 08/10/2020 08:35

Haha @Bl0ndi3 thanks. I'm sure in a few more months I'll just be a massive whale. Do you have a bump yet?

Bl0ndi3 · 08/10/2020 08:36

I'm so jealous I'm so far behind you all wish I was getting a bump and finding out the sex soon ๐Ÿ˜ข haha!

My scan is in 2 days and I'm starting to feel really nervous about it now that I don't have anything else to worry about.

Although I did find out my very good work friend is the one being made redundant in my area and our boss too (they're merging two big teams so one boss had to go) and I cried so much when I found that out. Things are gonna change so much at work and I don't like it!

Thanks for the new thread @SmileyT โค๏ธ hopefully I'll be able to give you my 12week scan date next week when I have my booking in appointment on Tuesday!

Bl0ndi3 · 08/10/2020 08:38

@zippityzip I wish haha some days I have a bloated belly but otherwise just my normal one ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. No hint of a bump for me but only 7+2.

I'm actually struggling with the concept of my weight at the minute I feel so guilty when I don't eat well but I'm just telling myself I'm being stupid and eating well when I can. Been dieting for so long hard to get out of that mindset!

Bl0ndi3 · 08/10/2020 08:40

Sorry spamming the thread haha when do you get your 20 week scan date?

zippityzip · 08/10/2020 08:59

@Bl0ndi3 My 20 week scan is on 11th Nov in the morning - but I also have one next Sunday for me and DH to see the baby together.

Ah you'll have a proper bump soon - it just suddenly happens.

Honestly - don't even worry about your weight. Especially this first trimester it's just about survival. I'm just kind of live and let live and I'll worry about it after ๐Ÿ˜‚ I lost 5 stone after my first baby. But I gained 6 ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ณ

Bl0ndi3 · 08/10/2020 09:08

@zippityzip do you get given the 20 week date at your 12 week?

Aww that'll be lovely โค๏ธ I've been petitioning the local NHS trust and my local MPs to see if OH can come to 12 week scan by the time that rolls around - the head midwife emailed me and asked to phone me so will see how that goes when she does.

We will book a private scan anyways between 12/20 so he will see baby before 20 weeks if he can't come to 12 week as it's just no fair on him! Plus I wanna find out the sex and cannot wait 8 weeks between scans haha!

I had maybe 2.5 stone I wanted to lose before getting pregnant and I've also struggled with my weight and my outlook on myself/my body etc for so long, so it's really playing on my mind but I am just appreciating that on the really sicky days that I just cannot manage to eat a fucking salad and I just want to eat potato waffles and so do ๐Ÿ˜‚

zippityzip · 08/10/2020 09:35

@Bl0ndi3 Yeah I was told to book one immediately after my 12 week so reception did it there for me.
I really hope your DH can make it with you, when if she due to call?
If you plan on breastfeeding you'll probably lose a ton of weight anyway!

Mustbemad82 · 08/10/2020 09:36

Marking my place @zippityzip lovely bump

mrsmummy1111 · 08/10/2020 10:04

Yeah I got my 20w scan (16th nov) and my 36 week scan (1st March ๐Ÿ˜ฑ) straight after my 12w scan @Bl0ndi3. Annoyingly my 20w scan isn't until I'm 21 weeks. Same thing happened with DS and that extra week was such a killer when you're dying to see the baby!

@zippityzip DV still not allowing partners at scans?

mrsmummy1111 · 08/10/2020 10:05

@zippityzip actually kinda wish you'd chosen the PRUH you know. Imagine if we ended up there at the same time.

zippityzip · 08/10/2020 10:11

@mrsmummy1111 My scans have all been at Queen Mary's so far which is handy as it's soooo local. But still no partners ๐Ÿ˜ž

Haha we coulda got wheeled past each other high fiving both in labour. Although all my kids are very late so I can imagine your baby will arrive way before mine!!

blodyn91 · 08/10/2020 10:16

No bump here at 13+3. Only bloated at night.

@Bl0ndi3 yes I got given 12 week scan at booking appointment, then 20 week scan at 12 week scan and the midwife texted me that day saying shell be in contact at around week 16.
The weight thing really bothers me as well, I try and let myself think 'im growing a baby, I will put weight on, its ok' but deep down I am scared of putting loads on! Scared of people thinking 'Oh Beths fat, never seen her fat before' but really it doesn't matter - I usually never care what people think of me ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ฉ But then I also really want a bump ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ loving your body is bloody hard isn't it!
Also Ive been in so much pain after both my recent runs, last night and Sat night, so much pain I couldn't walk. It sets in around 30mins after Ive finished running, in my groin, pelvis, lower back. Really wanted to carry on running till at least Jan ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜ฉ
(sorry big moan this morning)

mrsmummy1111 · 08/10/2020 10:17

@zippityzip I was born at queen Mary's. They got rid of the maternity unit a while ago though otherwise I'd probably have had mine there.

Hahahaha walkie talkie each other. "You got any ribena". My little boy was 2 weeks early but only because I was induced. They found some liver issue (mine not his) when I was 37 weeks so just decided to get him out. I'm really hoping that doesn't happen again though so you never know!

zippityzip · 08/10/2020 10:34

@blodyn91 It could be the relaxin hormone making you hurt all over - it loosens up your ligaments to help your body stretch for the baby but unfortunately it's not just aimed around the tummy area but your whole body. Which is what I'm telling myself anyway when my hips are burning and back aches and I'm still 30 for another week and feel like an old lady.
Fucking kudos to you for even exercising.

zippityzip · 08/10/2020 10:37

@mrsmummy1111 How bad is an induction?
The only thing I've got on my birth plan is REFUSE forceps. Other than that I'm pretty much up for anything. Including lots of drugs. My second birth was done entirely on gas and air (not my choice, I left it too late) and I didn't get a medal for getting through the pain.

Haha I was born in the car park there - I didn't make it to the ward ๐Ÿ˜‚ would have been so handy to have the maternity unit there still.

Mococo1 · 08/10/2020 10:40

@mrsmummy1111 think I'm next on Sunday (IF they find it that is! Have a feeling they will turn me away as il be 16 on the dot and baby will have its legs crossed!)

Bit of a bump forming but I still got rolls! So looks like a huge belly can't wait till I hit like 7months and they merge into one x

@blodyn91 it's probs just your body adjusting to exercising with the wee one- don't worry about gaining weight but yeh it's an issue for us all mentally in our heads, when really it's all baby!

mrsmummy1111 · 08/10/2020 10:48

@zippityzip Genuinely, mine wasn't bad. At all! I think I was (now thankfully) a bit naive and oblivious to how inductions can go, so didn't really have any expectations - positive or negative. I just had one pessary at 6pm Friday night, nothing happened until about 2am when I have text messages to my friend saying it feels a bit like period pains, so very early stages. Then he was born just after midday. So 10 hours of "labour" but it certainly wasn't agony for that entire time.

I've since heard, especially if it's your first, that the first pessary doesn't always work, or that the labour can last for days and days with inductions, but I guess maybe I was lucky? I was 1cm dilated before they even put the pessary in though (they didn't know that until they went to do the induction) so I'm assuming my body was already gearing up for labour, hence why it wasn't terrible.

I agree. I would absolutely have whatever pain relief I wanted, if I needed it. You don't get a medal for not taking anything. I had nothing the first time but just because I genuinely didn't need it. If I'd needed it I'd have taken ANYTHING. I wouldn't be keen on forceps or ventouse but only because the idea really scares me. Actually more so than labour itself which is ridiculous but it petrified me. Although I think if I'd gone all the way through labour and it got to that stage, I'd probably take that over EMCS.

zippityzip · 08/10/2020 11:01

@Mococo1 Oh that's really exciting - is it a private scan? All of you finding out is making me really tempted.

I'll have rolls for the rest of my life ๐Ÿ˜‚ you're not alone.
