Anyone else just found out/newly pregnant?

I tested v positive this morning, with est ovulation 07.09.2020 and est due date 31.05.2021. So basically only 4 weeks pregnant?

I'm feeling only tiny symptoms - a bit bloat, crampy, fluttery tummy and a bit gassy.

Finding myself so nervous about potential miscarriage. Checking for blood every time I wee! Just exercised and worried throughout about somehow harming it Blush

Anyone else in the same position?

I suppose I should have figured as you're a TippTop girl @Tipptopgirl 🤣🤣

Mishmased · 25/09/2020 13:11

Hello to all the new additions hope you're all keeping well.

I went on a mini splurge today and bought these. In my defense they're still cheaper than clear blue digital 🤣🤣

Funny tho on my first child one cb digital pregnant and that's it baby born the end.
Second didn't bother and found out at the gp. Third baby before I realized you could buy opk and poundshop tests.
But once these are used up no more buying. Dr called me back and I was in my shared office 🙄 said to make an appointment for 3 weeks time so I'll be 7 weeks then. I hadn't tested for the past two days haha

I have worked out my test strategy haha @Mishmased:

Will allow myself to do a strip one in morning rest of this week.
Tomorrow Clearblue that gives a "how pregnant" estimate eg 1-2 or 3+ or whatever.

Then will try to stop!

Mishmased · 25/09/2020 16:57

@TheDaydreamBelievers good strategy.

Once all these tests are used up that's me done. I'll have a scan at the dr in 3 weeks and depending on how things go I may book a reassurance scan at 10/11 weeks before hospital booking scan around 12 weeks. This should be in November fingers crossed.

HeyDW96 · 25/09/2020 16:59

Phoned for my midwife appointment today, will be a phonecall on the 14th. Quite disappointed it's a phone call, us nurses and doctors working acutely still have to see our patients..

scrambledeggy · 25/09/2020 17:11

@TheDaydreamBelievers I wasn't going to have a private scan, but yesterday I realised that I want my husband there. Also, I am convinced through pure anxiety and previous MC experience that I'm somehow incapable of getting to the 2nd trimester. So booking one for somewhere between 7 and 8 weeks just to check there's SOMETHING THERE.

I think if I'd already had a baby I'd be less worried. Very jealous of those of you with DC already! Also, is anyone else having awful mood swings? I feel like I'm turning into a bigger bitch than usual Hmm

TheDaydreamBelievers · 25/09/2020 17:29

@scrambledeggy are you nhs england? Luckily my understanding in Scotland is that partners can come to the 12 week scan. I totally understand why youd want a sooner scan though! 12 weeks seems so far...

Hey Everyone,
I am quite newly pregnant (6 weeks) for the first time and super worried about miscarriage. Confused
I noticed today that my breasts aren’t as tender as yesterday and it’s worrying me. Does anyone else find that their symptoms fluctuate? I know worrying about things won’t change anything but it’s hard not to fret!

scrambledeggy · 25/09/2020 18:39

@TheDaydreamBelievers exactly, I'm in England. Maybe 12 weeks isn't that long in the grand scheme of things when this whole bloody year has dragged so much 🤣

TheDaydreamBelievers · 25/09/2020 18:44

Haha so true @scrambledeggy!!!

@Bellaboo11 it is completely normal for symptoms to fluctuate. All the way through pregnancy but especially early on. I have genuinely zero symptoms today!

@Mishmased - the universe is laughing at me, took the clearblue dates one and it showed the book error! I used it as youre meant to !!!

Nice clear dye stealer FRER and 2-3 week clear blue. So looks like approx DD of 31/05 or 01/06/2021 is correct.

Also means my expensive tests are gone so cant drive myself crazy using them Grin

Morning girls,

@TheDaydreamBelievers that's a good set of tests 😂🥰 I've just done a CB weeks one and it's come back with 1-2 weeks but I think I'm just over 2 weeks since conception now. Not sure if I should be worried? Kinda wish I hadn't done it now as I feel like I'll overthink it!

Hope you're all okay. 💕

TheDaydreamBelievers · 26/09/2020 07:27

Definitely possibly overthinking! This is why I'm gonna stop taking them as I can feel myself going "am I SURE this One Step is darker than before?"

As long as you feel fine I'm sure it's all okay Smile.

@TheDaydreamBelievers ah sorry ignore me, I thought it was 2 weeks on Tuesday but it was 2 weeks yesterday so that makes sense 🥰 right, definitely need to stop testing now 😂

How have you been feeling? X

Tigger1987 · 26/09/2020 09:17

Morning everyone. I used my last FRER today at 15dpo and the line has progressed which is reassuring!!

@TheDaydreamBelievers A great set of tests! It is nice using up the tests isn't it. I have 1 more CB digital weeks left which I am saving till next week.

@KateColx It is so hard not to read into the tests isn't it. I did an internet cheapie but didnt really think about how dilute my urine was until after (which was after panicking the test was lighter!!) X

KateColx · 26/09/2020 09:22

@Tigger1987 great line there 🥰🥰 I find internet cheapie ones are lighter generally too, but yes we just love to overthink it all haha. I still have 2 FRERs left which I think I'll leave for now 😂 x

mrswilso · 26/09/2020 09:34

Haha! Looks like we're all retesting at the same time today 🤣
I accidentally used a normal CB digi rather than the weeks one but I'm still chuffed - it's another wee mini milestone 🤩

KateColx · 26/09/2020 09:59

@mrswilso feels good to see it written out doesn't it 😂 I think I'm done testing now... x

Found out Thursday I was pregnant I am 4 weeks. Super nervous as had a MC in May. I've had back ache now for nearly a week and I'm worried something is wrong. Trying not to overthink things and not get too excited 🥺

Tipptopgirl · 26/09/2020 11:14

Ok guys iv run into trouble. Dont know how things will go.
I started bleeding Thursday. Got sent to epu. They done a scan she was like i cant see anything at all sorry then said do twins run in your family at all I said yes I'm a twin but my mum lost my twin at 13 weeks. She showed me the screen and there was 2 small black circles. Anyway then she said how it could be a twin pregnancy OR no pregnancy at all. So confused. She took my bloods for HCG levels. Said 5 means im not pregnant. Rang yesterday to say my levels were 22.8 and classed as low. But off my calendar i ovulated either sept 4th or 5th. Which would make me only 4w6d at the scan. Thoughts????
I have repeat bloods today at 6pm in the epu. I am probably 5w1d now.
Bleeding lasted like a day and a half. Its now slightly still there but brown.
Feel so confused. Been googling non stop. Was gonna come on here but didnt want to spoil the buzz for others but had no where else to turn!
X

HeyDW96 · 26/09/2020 11:27

@Tipptopgirl I don't have much advice because I've never been in that situation but I really hope things work out okay for you ❤️

Everything is so fragile at this stage, will be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Have you tested again? I don't know if it would indicate anything or if it make make you more anxious!

X

Tipptopgirl · 26/09/2020 12:09

I am 7 weeks and due in may too
I was feeling really sick before but now I am just totally exhausted and my boobs feel heavy and sore
Smile

HeyDW96 · 26/09/2020 13:05

@Tipptopgirl that's a shame she said could be twins, could not be a baby. All very up in the air! I really hope you get answers soon, that's reassuring your tests are darker x

Mishmased · 26/09/2020 13:15

@Tipptopgirl ❤️❤️❤️ sending a virtual hand hold... how are you today?
what colour was the blood and how much? Brown spotting =old blood, bright red not so good. 4 weeks is super early I would say. Were you cramping, did you use a pad or a pantyliner?

They can see something there so let's hold on that hope.
When I miscarried in July, they test hcg level first as a benchmark and test again to see if your levels are compared to the initial result. Like you said 5 or less signallled a loss. My first result then at 6 weeks was 15 and the second test was 6. Told me to do a pregnancy test after 2 weeks. I didn't wait that long, once bleeding stopped I tested.
