Just had a call from the hospital saying DH can still come to the scan on Tue, he just has to wait outside until I’m called in then security will bring him through. Hoping that means it won’t change now as I’d assumed if it were going to, it would be when we went in to tier 3 yesterday 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 This would be the first scan he’s been able to come to at the hospital through both pregnancies this year...and I’ve had a lot!

Pugprincess · 24/10/2020 17:30

@workingmama aww thank you. I’m 15 weeks today! Just had a few brown specks when wiping again though 😩 seems to happen at weekends 🤷🏼‍♀️ yes 1-1 at school isn’t a bad idea 💡 I don’t actually want to work from home because I think it will be hard and not beneficial to the kids but at the same time if it’s allowed and covid is still rife then I might have to do what’s best for the baby. I love working 1-1 though, I’ve been doing some of that with the low kids. Got one boy from a level 1 reading book to a 6 so far just by teaching him to read high frequency words! Got a few others I’m doing the same thing with.

@sakura must be a mum thing! 😅

@ew1990 and @skyblue I’ve had tonnes of twitches but I get them all over like top of belly, sides like near my back lol. Don’t think mine can be movement in those places so I think muscle for me. I do get twitches in abdomen and under belly button but it’s hard to say if that’s movement because it feels the same as the muscle twitches to me 😩 and @skyblue great news your other half can come in still despite tier 3!

@ew1990 that’s lovely to hear your daughter is so excited! We told our 5 year old nephew last night and he’s not happy 🤦🏼‍♀️ he hates babies and is actually scared of them. I’m hoping he gets used to it 🤞🏻 he’s on the autistic spectrum we believe.

@rosiejess aw bless him I hope it’s a bit better today, at least stopped bleeding I hope x

@starfish thank you! I think I’m the same as you regarding scans between 12-20. I’m trying to be really good and hold out for week 16/17 so I only pay for one and then nhs 20 weeks. Been nearly two weeks since my last scan and I’m already getting twitchy lol 😆

Ps sorry if I didn’t get names quite right I’ve typed into notes as had a couple of pages to read and didn’t want to miss out anything. Struggling to add tags in after pasting lol.

Lollol86 · 24/10/2020 20:55

@Starfish762 congratulations on the successful scan so happy for you.

@Pugprincess round ligament pain is very sharp pains down low when you love too quick including like sneezing or just standing too quick. It's really painful and stops you in your tracks xx

@SkyBlue20 bless you, having a miscarriage totally ruins any future pregnancies doesn't it 😭😭 I hope you are doing ok today lovely xx

Pugprincess · 24/10/2020 21:58

@Lollol86 ah thank you defo had that yesterday when I coughed then lol, the other pains may have been my bladder from uti or growing pains I think.

I think I might have felt some flutters tonight! I get a lot of muscle twitches and they are all over can be anywhere across belly/abdomen and nearer my sides/back and usually is a couple or a few spaced apart twitches. What I felt was my lower left abdomen and was like a flurry or spasm almost like if you’ve ever had several palpitations in a row. Very quick succession which is why I say fluttery. It was after eating a choc mousse trifle thing...

ew1990 · 24/10/2020 22:49

@pugprincess ahh how exciting! Cheese seems to set my little one off! It's so exciting isn't it

Pugprincess · 24/10/2020 23:15

Aw yes @ew1990! Just hope I’m right 🙈 when did you first feel something? How many weeks were you? X

Lollol86 · 24/10/2020 23:28

@Pugprincess ahhh amazing, really hope it was little movements. It's so nice when you start feeling 😭 xx

Lollol86 · 24/10/2020 23:29

Didn't mean 😭 was meant to be ❤️. Bloody fat fingers 😂😂

ew1990 · 25/10/2020 10:50

@pugprincess around 14 weeks with this one but then nothing again for days. I'm 20 weeks now and I feel her everyday. More So when I've been busy and then I sit down.

With DD I first felt flutters at 16 weeks

Pugprincess · 25/10/2020 11:45

@Lollol86 and @ew1990 ah I bet it was that then. Not expecting to feel it too much at this stage but nice to get some reassurance from within 😅🤞🏻 Was funny timing with the eating chocolate mousse lol, probably the position I was in (semi slouched on sofa) and position of the baby. X

SmileyT · 25/10/2020 12:40

@Simmy20 is your scan today? Good luck.... really hoping it's good news for you ❤️

@SkyBlue20 hope it was a better nights sleep last night? It will all be good news next week, although I am getting a slight sicky feeling about tomorrow morning now, definitely happy OH can come but now having those horrible thoughts that I hope his first hospital scan isn't a negative one, but trying to sweep that feeling under the carpet x

@Pugprincess how exciting starting to feel bubs 🥰🥰🥰 My feelings still have no pattern at 20weeks, but OH actually felt one the other day so hopefully it's not all in my head 😂

Simmy20 · 25/10/2020 12:46

@SmileyT thanks. It's tomorrow morning. 12hrs to go. I have no idea how I'm going to sleep tonight. It's already 10.45pm which is usually well past my bed time

Workingmama1 · 25/10/2020 13:07

@smileyT @skyblue20 yay for partners in scans next week! I wasn't sure if Bolton would change their restrictions due to tier three so good to hear so far they haven't, its nearly 4 weeks until mine so all could change by then!

Good luck tomorrow @simmy20

@pugprincess exciting about potential flutters! I keept thinking I'm feeling something then doubting it...

@skyblue20 the Trafford Centre wasn't too busy, bot sure I'd go at a weekend though, have seem some pictures in the news were it was rammed.

We went out for a walk and then to the playground and I'm done in now. Sat om the sofa with a hot water bottle, aching bump and my back is killing me. Think its time for a nap while my daughter is down for hers!

SmileyT · 25/10/2020 13:44

@Simmy20 oh yeah you're in Aus, I'm guessing East coast by the time difference 🤔 once you wake up it wont be long to go. I'll be checking in the morning for your update x

@Workingmama1 I actually had a full read of the updated guidance from 14th Oct by RCOG, and positives seem to be that they've clarified that maternity services should be resuming, so we should see all hospitals moving towards this but negatives are that they've moved away from classifying pregnancy as high risk and taken away the guidance re: working from home after 28weeks 🤔 enjoy your nap 😉

RosieJess91 · 25/10/2020 14:01

Thanks everyone! He's fine, been glued up and seems quite happy. Week off school to recover (half term anyway). Doesn't seem bothered in the slightest, but quite happy showing it off.
My appointment has been changed to Tuesday!

Sakura54 · 25/10/2020 16:09

@ew1990 That’s sweet about your DD. DS has been approaching my stomach to hug and sing to it these days and he randomly said ‘It’s ok, Baby Sister. It’ll be alright’. Let’s hope this gentleness continues when the time comes!

I was surprised at my 6yo nephew’s reaction when I told him. He cupped his hand over his mouth in shock, asked what I was going to name the baby then said he was excited. He then told my DS ‘Mummy’s going to lay a baby.’

22w today and this is what I mean by small bump! DS decided to copy me and show his belly too.

@Sakura54 your bump is so nice! Do you get very big during the end of pregnancy?! Or do you still stay fairly slim?
I actually feel small this time round especially for 22weeks but everyone keeps saying I'm big 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ obviously I have eating a roast and loads during the day so i like to think it's possibly a fair bit of bloat too! 🐷 haha x

DanceM1 · 25/10/2020 20:21

Hi ladies. So sorry, struggling to keep up again. Love the bump pictures! @sakura54 im twice the size of you at 21 weeks 🙈

@skyBlue20 so pleased your partner is allowed in at your scan- yey!! It won't change now im sure!

Ladies I cannot. Stop. Eating!!! Its really bad. Im feeling really guilty and worrying that I'm harming the baby. Ive been eating enough fruit and veg but I've ALSO been eating loads of crap. Going to start fresh tomorrow and try and be really healthy. Please somebody else tell me they've been eating rubbish too???

Workingmama1 · 25/10/2020 20:52

@DanceM1 I've eaten so badly today, literally only cares, to the point I've given myself really bad stomach ache! Forced some fruit, rennies and a peppermint tea down me to try and ease it...

Lovely bump pics! @Sakura54 you have such a cute neat bump 😊

@RosieJess91 glad your son is feeling ok, bet he gave you a bit of a scare!

My nap was amazing, all 2 hours of it, not sure where the elusive 2nd trimester glow and energy are hiding...

Workingmama1 · 25/10/2020 20:54

Alao bump feeling huge for 16 weeks! There is no hope for my belly button, it is permanently stuck out now 🤣

ew1990 · 25/10/2020 21:22

The lighting is terrible at this time of night but this is me at 20+2 I was around this size at 25 weeks with DD.

@workingmama1 I also have no second trimester glow 🙈 still full of spots and so so tired all the time

ew1990 · 25/10/2020 21:23

Belly button stuck out too. Dp hates it. He has a phobia of belly buttons 😂

DanceM1 · 25/10/2020 21:24

Ahh @Workingmama1 thank you! That sounds so like me!! Im sure its ok if we generally try and stay healthy... ive just been bad a bit too much this week! Love your bump 😍

DanceM1 · 25/10/2020 21:25

Ahh look at your bump @ew1990 😍 ill have to get another picture of mine tomorrow! Im also full of spots and in search of the elusive (non existent) 'glow'

Sakura54 · 25/10/2020 21:58

Loving the pics! I’ll send another when there’s some progression.

@bubblybon20 Yeah I had a tiny bump when I went into labour at 36w. Not sure how everything fits in there TBH lol. It’s odd that it’s the same again this time around.

@DanceM1 Baby will take all the nutrients and good stuff it needs from you, so don’t worry about harming it! I’m not a healthy eater at all (my fruit/veg intake is pretty poor and I eat sweet stuff for breakfast), but do have a varied diet. They only warn us to not eat too much and to eat healthy for our sakes, not really the baby’s and so that we don’t gain too much weight.
