thank you @Hoping2020 for all of that info, I may be having a c section so I really appreciated it! The always pants - is that instead of using maternity pads in normal knickers?
The race is on between a few of you 39 weekers now, I wonder who will be next?!

@Whiffle77 - yes, they’re instead of, they are essentially adult nappies but honestly made such a difference by holding my wound together. If we’re lucky enough to have another child in future, I wouldn’t hesitate to have another c-section. Honestly, try not to worry about it, especially if it’s planned. Everything felt really thorough and really safe. The best part is from them starting the first cut, you usually have your baby on your chest within about 10 minutes which is just incredible 🥰 So excited for you and all the mummies to be. I know it’s hard not to think something will go wrong and it won’t happen for you, that’s how I felt throughout my pregnancy anyway, but I’ve had my little squidge now for 12 amazing days - it will happen for you. I couldn’t believe it when she was put on my chest and that magical moment I’d been yearning for for so long was actually happening. Not too long for lots of you now and your little bundles of deliciousness will be with you ❤️

Hi all,
Just updating my weeks. Definitely in the final stretch as I've developed some hip pain and sciatica. I really need baby girl to shuffle down a bit so I can breathe a bit easier, running around after an almost 3 year old is near impossible! But apart from my whinging all is fine and I'm just in sit tight and wait mode... Plus try and get a bit of rest in. Because of the induction (and I've got set time limits on that to shift to a section if it takes too long) she'll definitely be here in 3 weeks 4 days... which is terrifying! Exciting, but terrifying. I'm really liking reading the graduates thread, I struggled a lot with breastfeeding the first time around, and had to mix feed as couldn't get my son to put weight on with just breast milk, I'm really hoping to be able to exclusively breastfeed this time around.

@Babyghirl Welcome and gentle congratulations. I've had one loss at 10.4 weeks a few months before I got pregnant this time (Currently 37 weeks)... I basically spent the first 12 weeks ignoring the pregnancy completely. I joined this group, but that was the only place I spoke about it. My DH and I didn't even talk to each other about it! It's not very healthy, but that was the only way I could control my anxiety.

This is a really interesting (and cheap and short) book that I found fascinating about breastfeeding.

It's not tips or a how to guide but when I read it it made me have total faith in my body.

Me and my partner have not spoke bot it from I told him I'm on knicker watch 24 7 lol. 2 losses and I'm hoping this is my rainbow baby all I can do is pray and hope. Wishing the nxt 7 weeks away. And thank you and congratulations on your pregnancy. 🍀💚

@SunStruck I can't believe you are working til the end of the month, I hope baby stays in until at least the 1st for you!!
I have had period like pains but only twinges, had some back pain and ALOT of pressure down below which just feels like she is going to fall out 😂 also had a dodgy tummy for the last few days which is delightful!
Don't think I've had any BH though... 🤔 but then someone on a Facebook group I'm on with the same due date was saying she had no clues over the weekend and hers was born yesterday!

@footprintsintheslow Thanks for the book recommendation. I've been reading a lot... I think our issues last time were a 3 day labour, both of us were exhausted, I'd had to have quite a lot of IV fluids which conflates birth weight, so it's easier for baby to lose more than 10%, I had 3 hour surgery afterwards so his first feed was delayed, I lost a lot of blood, he was very sleepy the first few days so his feeding wasn't strong, he had a tongue tie that wasn't clipped until 2 weeks in... I could probably go on! ha. I had loads of help from the local group and a private lactation consultant, but I think the two hour schedule of feeding, expressing, 40 minutes sleep then starting again, day and and night for a few weeks just made me even more exhausted and my supply never recovered. My lactation consultant also suggested it was partly hormonal as my milk never 'came in' properly. But, the same as with pregnancy after loss, this is a new situation, I've made birth choices that minimise the chance of separation after birth and being too exhausted, and it's my main focus to get feeding sorted. I'm really enjoying reading about it though, and I feel its really getting me into the groove, so will definitely get that book. x

I've had some mild period pains and a bit of lower back ache but to be totally honest, I don't feel like my body is anywhere near ready!!! My bump is still super high and I don't feel much pressure in my cervix... ugh come on baby!!! 😂

Shamefully posting again as I didn't update my weeks.

Evening lovelies, hope everyone is ok. Been back to see the consultant today for a scan. Baby is looking great, very active as usual, head down and is currently 5.6 pounds so he’s put on just over a pound in 2 weeks. Growth still looks back on track so she was reassured the anomaly a couple of weeks ago was due to his position. She’s very happy with him which is a big relief.

Sadly I can’t say I am doing as well. She knew I’d been struggling with anxiety after I rang my midwife last week and was keen to know how I was doing. Of course the tears came! I always cry when people are nice to me lol. She was so lovely and said she’s worried about me and wants to do what she can to help. I am now going in every week for either a scan or monitoring which helps. She also referred me to the MH consultant for a chat and she did mention medication but I am reluctant to start taking anything. My anxiety is all to do with my history and I don’t think anything but this one’s arrival will help. We did discuss bringing forward my c section by a week, so from 38 weeks to 37. But it’ll depend how baby and I are doing in a couple of weeks. It’s really only my anxiety which would mean an earlier date which feels selfish. If there is any risk to the baby I won’t move the date, his well-being is far more important than mine and hopefully with more appointments I can make it 5 more weeks. Updated weeks below.

Just updating. My baby girl has arrived safe and sound 21st September at 37w 5d ❤❤ My waters broke at 4am yesterday morning and it was a whirlwind of a day.

@Shefliesonherownwings I'm so sorry your anxiety is so high. I guess for you the closer you get the worse it's going to be. 5 weeks is so close, but I also know that there is the potential for that time to just drag on and on forever. Is there anything left for you to prepare which you could get busy with and just try to zone out from it? Feel free to post on here as often as you need. I think as you get closer to the date you'll know what is right in terms of c-section a week earlier or not.. you don't have to make a decision right now, maybe it will help you to keep the option open just in case xxx

@Babyghirl I'm hoping something comes along to make those 2 weeks go a bit quicker, I know - time stretches on and on it's crazy! Do you have any hobbies or anything to plan for that can give you an outlet? I've just harvested a load of lavender flowers and planning on sewing some little sachets soon. A few of us on here had jam making sessions recently. Or whatever it is you can find that will float your boat for a few days and pass some time! Just to add to what others have said about symptom spotting - don't do it! I know it's inevitable and I did it too, but after I got through the first trimester I realised that everyone was right and you literally can't tell. This time I had fluctuating nausea from week 4 and I was constantly on here either complaining about the nausea or worrying that the nausea had died down. Last time I was pregnant I had extremely painful breasts, food cravings and mood swings none of which happened this time and it freaked me out. I was convinced that because nothing had happened with my breasts it wasn't going to stick. I was wrong, I'm 29 weeks now and still not really had any tenderness!! Every person, and every pregnancy is different, and sadly the only clue to a miscarriage is heavy bleeding and cramping... and speaking of which I had about 5-6 bleeding incidents this pregnancy (small amounts, but one had a clot which upset me so much) which I never had with my last MMC. Each time I was convinced it was over but in the end it was absolutely fine xx

I wake up fine sore breasts creamy cm and as the day goes on the breats ease off and I start to worry lol. My bowels r also loose in the morning which makes me worry it's just a bag of worry until we knw everything is OK I guess lol. I'm also back to work tomorrow which has me worried as I work in a hospital and with everything that's going on worries me feeling sick on and off this morning.

@MOGMOGMOG85 thank you. I feel a bit better today, lots of movements overnight and this morning so I think this kid is trying to reassure me he's ok in there lol.

Seeing all these lovely rainbow announcements is giving me hope that we might actually be one of them in a few weeks. Fingers crossed!

Just anxious today ladies worrying it's all going to go wrong and preparing myself for the worst, not if it happens but when it happens think I'm just detaching myself as much as I can so I don't hit rock bottom, awful to feel like this but it's hard nt to what us ladies have been through. Wish I could off went weeks until I found out lol. Like that show I didn't know I was pregnant lol.

Sorry you are struggling @Shefliesonherownwings but glad you feel a bit better today! It sounds like you are getting all the right support which should help to keep you a bit grounded. Is there anything simple you can do at home that might help - meditation or something like that to keep your brain a bit distracted? You are on the home straight now. Its probably dragging but there isn't long for you to battle through. Like the others have said, keep venting here as much as you need to!

How weired is it I just received a phone call from the fertility clinic today and they said my consultant will phone us tomara at ten o'clock with mine and dp results, r first app was Feb but with everything that went on it closed. Do you ladies think I will be able to say I still wanted kept on the system incase anything was to go wrong as I'm on 4+5 weeks gone. Or may ask for progesterone hoping he would give me it.

@babyghirl I'd suggest briefing them fully, and asking them what they'd recommend. They might still keep you on system or give you the progesterone.

Thank you I should of named myself anxious lady 2 lol but that's what I'm like at the min only my better half calls me babyghirl so thought it was more suited lol. They do nt know I'm pregnant yet as I phoned last week and they said the app where running abot a year behind with everything going on. So was hoping I was past the 13 week mark or had my rainbow baby before an app came through as I'm scared they will take me off the system nw but hoping nt as I'm still very early on.
