Pregnancy

Apparently my husband has absolutely no idea how the female body works!

This happened last night and it honestly had me rolling about the place laughing.

My husband and I are expecting our first baby. I’m 21 weeks today. Our sex life since I’ve become pregnant has honestly been as good as ever. Passionate and loving a few times a week. Last night in bed I roll over and start “trying it on” as such and he gives me the cold shoulder. This has NEVER happened before so naturally I was worried, did he not find my pregnant body attractive any more? I press him on it and he doesn’t say a lot, all I get was “I’m just not in the mood”. I refuse to accept this so I press him more until he FINALLY admits he’s been reading the baby’s development week by week and he read that the baby learns to grab this week, they will start grabbing their ears, nose and umbilical cord..

Turns out he’s TERRIFIED the baby is going to grab his dick during sex!!! 😭😂 i could hardly breathe through the laughing to explain this isn’t possible!

My husband is honestly the most intelligent person I know, very well educated.. but I think he needs to go back and sit some secondary school biology lessons!!

then the explanation is clear, he see's women as incidental creatures, not fully human or important enough for him to bother learning anything about differences in biology
Men are the 'real' people, women are appendages to men etc

Oh rubbish. How much do you know about the male anatomy? I regularly see posters refer to the prostrate for example. Wonder how many know the function and location of it if they don't know the name of it?

When I did OBS and gynae placement as a student nurse I was astounded by the number of women who didn't know about their own anatomy - that's a failure of sex education, not an attitude about women.

This is either a wildly inappropriate rapey fictional joke story or a true story about a sex pest wife who doesn’t take no for an answer. Men, like women, are not in a state of assumed continuous consent just because you’re married/partnered. I don’t find it funny at all.

Surely that was the whole point when PP says

It’s clear that the use of prostrate was deliberate.

Yes, I know. That was my point. Many people on MN wrongly refer to it as the prostrate. It's not just men who don't know about the anatomy of the opposite sex was the point I was making.

There are so many people on here rushing to post nasty comments, I wonder if they are as unpleasant in real life.

I honestly don’t see the need to post comments calling the op’s husband thick and questioning his intelligence.....does it make you feel better to belittle a stranger on the internet? If you don’t find it amusing that’s fine, but why post? What is it you hope to achieve? Because as far as I can see the only possible objective is to try to make the op feel like shit. Which really isn’t a nice way to behave.

She didn't say she tried to pressure him into sex, she just said she wanted to know why.

But carry on with your "double standards" hysterics...

No I don't believe this and I think you're after 'likes' on another forum.

And some of the other posts from other posters are old urban myths that have been knocking around MN for far too long years.

But if it all raises a Smile in these dour times of The Rule Of Six And High Treason then who am I to piss on your six chips.

@Sunnydaysstillhere

Once was with a man who wanted to know how I had a wee with a tampon in.

Similar here, it became very clear one drunken evening that my friends DH believed that she pee'd out of her vagina.

He went very red and we laughed, a lot.

This is what she said

He said he wasn't in the mood, op says she refused to accept it. Why? He can say not tonight, no, not in the mood - all good enough answers. Why shouldn't she accept it? No is a compete sentence being a MN favourite, right?

Clearly there's a back story you omitted to mention but you've got to admit it's an odd thing to post about someone who raped you or have I misunderstood you again?

I was considering never posting on here again but if they can be the same on this post it says more about them than me!!

I wonder how shit life has to be to feel the need to be so miserable and serious online all the time?

The story made me laugh OP!! Grin

My ex once let slip his belief that a woman's breasts grew bigger when they were felt by men.

If more than one man felt a woman's breasts, he told me, they would grow even bigger. So a woman with large breasts must be promiscuous or at least had allowed lots of men to cop a feel.

Plus, a right handed man had to be careful to use his left hand too and feel both his wife's breasts equally or the breasts would grow unequally.

I was shrieking with laughter, not least because his deeply virtuous mother was frankly huge-busted.
Was she a slag then? No, of course not! His father must have developed them with diligent bust-feeling.

He really did believe this. At the time he was a high school science teacher.
